My friends and I came here on a Wednesday night for dinner and loved the vibe. It was raining so we sat inside (there are tables outside) and stood in line to order. I believe they had a special going on for the day and we ended up with 3 chicken tacos and several beef birria tacos + chips and guac. It was a little confusing to order because we also had ordered margaritas but they did not charge us for those so we had to stand back in line and re-order them again. It was definitely hectic inside but a fun vibe as everyone was seemingly getting ready to go out for the night so there were a lot of young people drinking. I thought the tacos were OK, with the beef birria being my favorite, but they were priceyyy. The margaritas were good as well. In all honesty, I probably would not return here. They still got it. Back when I lived in Miami, we used to love coming to Coyo taco for incredible food and then to dance in their speakeasy in the back. There is usually a long line when I've gone, but it goes by pretty quickly. They have seating both outside (with umbrellas) and inside. A lot of it is huge table communal style. They have a big variety of tacos, burritos, and bowls to pick from. They even do specials on certain days. If you are dining in, you order your meal at the counter. Then they give you a number for your table. Typically you bus your own table, but the times I've gone, the staff is so sweet and attentive that they've grabbed my finished plates for me. There is not much seating in the dining area so once you get your food it's best to leave. The place is pretty sticky because of how busy it is. The tables really don't get cleaned at a sufficient pace. The food however is worth the wait in that line. I got the Birria quesadilla and it was very well packed and wonderfully flavorful. The tacos were delicious! The steak was tender and flavorful with the right amount of salty. The corn tortillas were soft and dreamy and I usually don't like corn tortillas. The guacamole was delicious and my margaritas was $6 with beautiful presentation and a solid amount of alcohol. The cochinita pibil with roasted pork had a soft corn tortilla and the meat was nice and soft. The real winner for me was their condiments - they had an assortment of various salsas, but the best part for my spice lovers was the spicy chili, onion, and carrot mix available to add to the tacos. It gave the perfect hit of spice without having to drench the taco in vinegar-y hot sauce (they have valentina's hot sauce for those wondering). Another table was kind enough to offer their area as they were finished eating but still drinking so they moved to a space off to the side which was super kind. Food came out pretty quickly which was nice - quality was solid as well. Nothing to write home about, but delicious enough to enjoy nonetheless. Such a random find in downtown Miami. We heard this was a crazy fun bar scene but didn't have any reason to stay after dark. Stopped by at 1:30pm on a Friday and it was packed. Waited 20 min in line for food and another 10 min for delivered food. We had the carne asada quesadilla, carnitas and mahi mahi tacos, and pollo burrito bowl. Also don't skip the guacamole if you're a fan. Debatable on the best. Pick your favorite - they are all incredible. Service was great. They treated us all like we were the most important people there. One of the managers even offered to let me grab a bag of chips without waiting in the line (paid on the back end of the restaurant). My husband forgot the kid drinks and the hostess just let him have a couple cups. Things that don't matter but really do, you know? Hardest part was finding a seat - very limited. My 13 year old son almost got in a fight with an older man who assumed he could beat around a kid to steal his table while we waited in line for food.
