My husband and I had a wonderful meal tonight. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was tender and the chorizo was spiced just right. We have eaten Mexican style food thousands of times and have never received fresh hot rice. The rice was moist and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were large. Which I like because I enjoy eating the other half the next day for lunch. We only spent $24 without tip for two entrees and an appetizer. The food arrived within 8-10 minutes. This is a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Greencastle, PA! Small, but very quaint, Mi Tierra Linda is tucked away in a shopping center. The interior of the restaurant is immaculately clean and the wait staff is super friendly and helpful. After being seated, guests receive a large basket of fresh, warm tortilla chips and salsa. The menu is extensive, so just about everyone can find something they like. I really enjoyed my chipotle chicken while my dining partner enjoyed her arroz con pollo. Ordered carryout June 2023; instead of 20 minutes wait as told, waited 45 minutes. I believe they didn't start reheating the food until I arrived to pick up. Food should've been screaming hot to leave straight from kitchen and was not. Burrito Verde (pork) tasted like reheated leftover and looked like covered in green paint. Cancun Chimichanga contained salty chicken pieces toughened by reheating and tasted leftover. Entree came with rice and runny refried beans and shredded lettuce salad. read more

I'm unsure why there's so many good reviews on this place. The chips/salsa were disgusting. Tasted like fryer grease and the salsa was flavorless and watery. My dinner (Greencastle burritos) was basically a pile of lettuce on top of practically empty tortilla shells. The rice was dry and tasted nasty! The beans were equally disgusting!! The food is comparable to a TV dinner. The service was horrible as there's only one person working the dining room. Definitely not worth the money or time to eat here. Much better Mexican restaurants nearby. read more

Service is outstanding. Friendly staff greeted me and my boys quickly and with a smile. Food was very good and authentic. Not the ordinary Mex-American food. Food presentation is nice and the dishes are flavorful. Boys got tacos and pollo loco. I had the enchiladas culiacan. Very good!! The place is small but the atmosphere is nice. Music is at a good volume and it wasn't real noisy. I will be returning and I encourage everyone to try this place. read more

Very friendly wait staff. I loved chori-dip and the spicy sauce for the enchiladas. The enchilada sauce had a nice heat to it. The mild sauce had a decent heat to it as well and nice flavor. read more

We enjoyed the wonderful home cooked meal to celebrate my birthday. The place was clean with nice decor. Staff were so thoughtful and sweet to give a delicious slice of cheesecake with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate syrup. read more

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Greencastle. The seating is limited, but usually not a problem. Food and service always good.

With everything going on it's been a hassle trying to find good food and great service. My partner and I move from state to state for work and we were in search of great, affordable Mexican food on the go. We stopped my Mi Tierra Linda for take out and not only was the owner hospitable but all of the food we ordered including the drinks were carefully packed up for us. But man when we starting eating the food, it all just became worth it. Thank you so much. I know these are hard times but please support small business where you can. This restaurant needs to get their act together if they want to stay in business. Food is good....if they give you what you ordered. Gave me steak instead of chicken and when i told them i didnt have time on my lunch break to recook that i would take steak out and eat...they still charged me full price!!! They also say they open at 11. Have been there 3 times at 11:10 on lunch break and doors are locked. I knock on window and call and i see someone in back but they ignore me. Was just there the other day. Another person also left. They are always changing waitresses so she must show up when she pleases. It is very much an inconvenience when not open when i only get one hour for lunch. They need to get serious about being a business. read more
