Very good, we will definitely be back. In the old Burhans Station restaurant which is a beautiful place with plenty of seating. A very robust menu and everything we got was delicious. We will be back to try some other things. The portions were good size for the price.

We were visiting the area for the weekend and wanted to try a local restaurant. We found this place and the reviews looked good so decided to give it a try. The restaurant was larger inside than I would have thought, and they were busy with to go orders. We were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly, and they brought out some complimentary chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were homemade and delicious. There is so much on the menu and everything looks so good. The prices are incredible, especially for the portions. We started with some margaritas. My husband had the spicy marg (and there were lots of jalapeños in it) and I had a mango margarita. I think they were about $6 each and they were good! They have some nice drink specials during the week too. We started with some wings which we were not a fan of. They had an interesting aftertaste, maybe it was the oil they were fried in? I wouldn't get those again. My husband ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and he enjoyed them. I ordered the carne guisada and it was so flavorful. We both had to take our food home, couldn't finish it all. I'd recommend giving them a try if you are looking for a filling meal with friendly and fast service!

Highly highly recommend las 3 Hermanas. Authentic Mexican food with outstanding service well worth the money so glad we found this hidden gem. We cannot say enough good things about this place all four of us enjoyed it greatly and will be back again again.

My order is always correct, which says a lot, and they genuinely try to accommodate special requests--even on takeout and delivery orders. The food is always flavorful and delicious no matter how you get it. The 3-item combo is such a great value -- generous portions, tons of variety, and everything on the plate is always spot on. And the fiesta nachos are one of our favs! Loaded with chicken, beef, and shrimp plus basically every topping you can think of. I also really appreciate that they include complimentary chips and salsa, even with takeout and delivery. It's such a nice touch and shows they care about their customers. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. This has definitely become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend! Ambiance of the restaurant is nice, lower lighting, and there's also a bar. So you can enjoy a delicious margarita if you're dining in:) the bar area is also kind of separated from the dining area too, if that's something you care about.

Ordered the lunch portion chimichanga with ground beef filling with sides is rice, refried beans some Pico and sour cream. Pros... it was a decent sized chimichanga with a generous amount of seasoned ground beef in a taco seasoned sauce. The server (Gizelle?) was friendly and very attentive. She did a great job! Not so great... the chimichanga was rather tough. Took more effort that mermaid to cut into it with a fork. The filling as noted was generously filled, though the added sauce mace the filling rather "saucy"... more like a Mexican sloppy joe. Including tip and a soft drink my bill came to $20 for lunch. You really can find better lunch spots for the money.

I'm happy to say the food's as good or better, with good service in an interesting setting. On crowded Massey boulevard with its strip malls and chain restaurants, it takes a keen eye to pick out this spot (hint - look for the Hobby Lobby parking lot). Then get ready for some unusual decor - the last occupant, a seafood place, did a LOT of intense decorating, including ocean-blue floors and dock pilings. We've visited this location 3 or 4 times now, and the food's been fine, partly out of our sentiment for the gone Frederick location. It's not hard to find Latino cuisine around here, but Mexicali had some of our favorites, including the delicious chiles rellenos (here, fried battered chilis, stuffed with cheese). When we went last week, it seemed clear they'd recently stepped up the game a little - new dinnerware and maybe even larger portions, and just as tasty if not more so. As usual, the chips were crispy and good (though our basket was mostly fragments) and the house salsa is a treat, fresh and zippy but not too hot. I had my go-to Azteca combo, with that chile relleno, a pork tamal, and a chicken enchilada, along with Mexican rice (though no beans this time, for some reason). My wife chose her favorite shrimp fajitas, also with beans and rice, though maybe a little skimpy on the bell peppers this time. My classic margarita on the rocks was big and zesty. Our server was attentive and polite. The crowd was thin on this Saturday night, so there were plenty of staff on hand. In an area with tons of Latin food choices, we depend on the consistent flavor and service here. Bueno!

Big Papi's believes in keeping things real and fresh by incorporating high-quality ingredients and bold flavors. The place was very clean and has a tables to dine in as well. I ordered the Barria tacos and they were so good, comparable to food I eat in the DMV area. I loved the red spicy sauce that comes on the side, the tacos were cheesy and the meat was so tender. The staff were nice and there was plenty of parking, I would definitely go back.

We got a birria taco, a rockfish taco, a vegetarian burrito, and a guacamole. The fresh-made guac was quite good! Creamy, fresh, and generous. The Birria taco was good. Flavorful and tender and generous. But inexplicably they did not include a side of consommé sauce for dipping. Lots-of-sauce is a key part of a messy juicy birria taco. That would have just been a disappointment. But the fried rockfish taco, meh. It tasted fresh, but it tasted like something had burned in the oil. The fish seemed too chewy, overdone. The coating was overly-hard. The bean and rice burrito was also meh. The dull rice seemed too chewy, either overdone or cooked until it was too dry. And there were only a small amount of black beans, and no added veggies, so there was little flavor. Overall, we were disappointed in the Big Papi's location in Hagerstown. For over $35, we only liked $8 of the food. What was good, was very good. Maybe they were just having a bad evening. We might try Big Papi's again, but probably not this location.

Our server barely understood English, and even simple questions turned into a whole situation. I asked FOUR separate times whether the spicy salsa was free. I literally said, "If it's free, I'll take it. If not, never mind." The server kept saying yes, it was free... so we ate it. Then the check comes out with a $3.99 charge for the salsa When I asked why it was charged after being told multiple times it was free, the server still kept saying "free" while staring at the receipt. At that point I had to ask for the manager because we were clearly not communicating. The manager said there was a "language barrier issue," BUT because we already ate it, we still had to pay for it. That part honestly blew my mind. If I asked about the price four times before ordering, clearly the whole point was that I didn't want it if it cost extra What made it worse was the attitude. The server never apologized once and the manager acted super confident like this was somehow normal. And honestly... the food wasn't even worth the drama. Everything was ridiculously salty, and the salsa tasted like someone mixed it with water. Cool interior. Terrible experience. Definitely not coming back.

There were only two tables available that we could put together to accommodate our group but they wouldn't let us do that until everyone arrived. We were slightly frustrated because if they gave the second table to someone else we never would have accommodated our group. Luckily the rest of the group arrived shortly after we did so we were able to sit together. I'm a bit of a Mexican food snob and I thought the food was mediocre. The salsa was pretty runny and the queso was melted cheese with NO seasoning/flavor to it. I ended up adding hot sauce to both just to flavor them. I ordered the ceviche - one of my favorites. I was really disappointed with that. The shrimp was overcooked so my guess is that they added cooked shrimp into the mix rather than making it the traditional way. Bottom line - the margaritas was good but I walked out hungry with a box of leftovers that I ended up throwing away. I would give it a try again when we're not with a large group, but I certainly won't be rushing back there anytime soon. Overall, 2.5/3 star experience.
