Nice to have a good local Mexican restaurant in Monroe. We always order Queso Fundido as a starter. It's anything but lo-cal, but everyone has to spoil themselves from time to time. My husband really enjoys the Carne Asada, while I usually get either Camarones al mojo de ajo or Camarones Mexicanos. Wish their hot sauce was chunkier, it's pretty watery with hardly any peppers, onions, etc. Service is always prompt and good. only issue we've encountered is parking can be a challenge as it's not a very large lot. read more

Save your money for the taco trucks in Monroe. The food here is quite over priced, and has definitely gone down hill in terms of quality over the years. On our last visit we got the steak fajitas and the camarones al mojo. Although the menu says large prawns, the shrimp were quite shrimpy in size....and the steak fajita was like chewing rubber. read more

I have been going here for about 8 years! I love the ultimate margarita! The food is excellent! Portions are humongous!

I was up here at evergreen speed way for formula drift and we had stopped there because we were craving some food from home. Being from LA I dont think this place is good at all. Way over priced for a Mexican restaurant. We've lived in Monroe for 10 years. Not sure if I'm proud of that or not. Anyway, we've been coming to Mi Tierra ever since we first moved here. Food is always great. Drinks are great. I've had WAY too many margaritas here. Best part is the staff. From Jesus to Fabian to Jessenia and past folks like Jose and Chino (heck even those defectors that have gone to El Lago). We are big fans of Mi Tierra. There are a handful of Mexican places here in the Monroe, Snohomish area and this is probably one of the better ones. Ixapta is across the street from Mi Tierra and I would have to say Mi Tierra food is a lot better in quality and flavor. Their prices are very competitive and very affordable, where you can eat there twice a week if you want. When we are in the mood for Mexican, this is our place of choice. read more

I have never written a yelp review my entire life but I had too today. We ordered from Uber eats for Mia Tierra in Monroe and we placed a simple order and when we got it. It was a total mess up. First of all the enchilada sauce was spilled all over the bottom of the bag the order was completely wrong and when I called Mi Tierra and ask for the manager they hang up and said they were too busy. I called again and when I talk to the manager he said it's all Uber eats fault and we don't deal with it. I said you didn't even get the order correct he didn't really care. Here's the pictures we spent $100 on and this is what you get for $100. My wife and I work very hard for a living we just wanted to have a nice take out meal after working all weekend and this is what it comes down too. Not only will we never go eat at Mi Tierra again , I will definitely never order from Uber eats it doesn't really matter whether it's Uber eats fault they are just a delivery service it's really the restaurant should take ownership of the poor packaging and completely failure to make our order correct. We were missing three items and we had to pay it and we didn't even get it. The manager did't care to acknowledge the issue. There are plenty of great Mexican restaurants on Monroe!! Ixtapa so awesome and great service. El Pariso in Monroe screwed up an Uber eats order and they came out themselves to correct the problem. The owner drove all the way to our house and made it right when he knew the order was wrong. Best pico de gallo ever I sometimes order it just to take home. I always get the taco salad with chicken it is always yummy my entire family loves the food at this location. The only downside is the blended ice drinks always have larger cucks of ice in them such as the blended margarita and pina colada they need a better blender or to spend more time blending them, I just stopped getting them besides this the place is wonderful. read more

This past Saturday night I placed a pickup order for one entree - carne asada. I drove to pick it up and then drive home. Once I got home I realized they had given me chicken fajitas instead. I called immediately and explained the situation. The guy on the phone said if I come back they will give me my correct food, no apology. I got to the restaurant with my incorrect food only to show it was the wrong food. The guy at the front said he needed to take the incorrect food back. I was shocked that he even demanded such a thing. I said I was not going to give the food back because he would just throw it away. He then says "no we will give it to someone else. IN A PANDEMIC I THOUGHT. I'm not going to waste the food but I wanted to food I ordered and paid for. Plus I felt entitled for all my wasted time driving back and forth. He laughed and said he couldn't give me my food unless I gave him the incorrect food back. This went back and forth until he eventually gave me my food and I left with both. This was a terrible experience and honestly the health department should be called on these people if they're going to serve food touched by other customers. I went there last Saturday around 1pm. I wanted to sit in the bar because they serve refried beans, salsa and pico de gallo but we only got the salsa and there were 2 other tables that had all 3 dips so I asked server for those. We waited over 30 mins to order our food. I ordered the usual veggie burrito normally it's pretty good but this last one it was full of white rice no refried beans inside the burrito I was disappointed. The server didn't ask if I wanted another drink and didn't check in with us to see how we were doing or if we wanted refill. Warm chips arrived as soon as we sat down with delicious salsa, pico de gallo, & tomatillo salsa. Fresh chips were brought to the table as soon as they were low. Went here for the first time last night. Usually I go to Ixtapa but they were crazy busy so decided to try Mi Terra. The good: we got seated right away; the manager was engaging; our waiter was attentive and pleasant. The bad: the hostess couldn't force a smile, we had to listen to some child shrieking (I know it wasn't their fault but it was ear piercing); the camarones a la crema were basically just prawns in sour cream - not to mention the prawns had tails on them; cheese enchilada was uncooked; and plates looked like they were from a retirement cafeteria. Mi Tierra is our go to restaurant for Mexican food in Monroe. The food is really good, consistent quality, fast friendly service and reasonable prices. Family favorites include: tortilla soup and chicken enchiladas. Love their fresh pico de gallo too. The restaurant is conveniently located right on Hwy 2 for those passing through, the dining room is large and can accommodate quite a crowd. The bar is not the best place for a quite conversation. I love coming to Mi Tierra! The drinks are always delicious. My favorite is the house margarita, simple and very refreshing! My favorite dish so far is the steak fajitas, the meat practically melts in your mouth and the peppers and veggies are all cooked to perfection! I was very happy with my meal and the service is even better! I have had the pleasure of being waited on by Josy multiple times! I come from a mexican family we speak spanish and it is are tradition to cook up mexican food because of this I have come to know what good mexican food taste like and please GO TO MI TIERRA this is what its suppose to taste like amazing and unique and tasty spicy's and salsa's, Good carne asada steak (Carne asada is my favorite dish their but all steak choices are good) so let me put it this way dont cross the street (being highway 2 so that would be very hard) and go to mcdonalds,burger king, or some other fast food place enjoy your time in an elegant but party approved environment.
