This place is so good! I order their pupusa with rice and horchata. Their pupusa are so fresh and moist they put plenty of queso and jalapeño inside. The service is good and the waitress was working had a nice smile, was very polite. I like the ambiance because it feels like you're getting a nice home cooked meal. Pollo Tamales, huge disappointment. 90% soggy masa with about a teaspoon of Pollo. I guess there's a reason, I didn't see any other customers here. After picking out the teaspoon of meat from the 1st one, I wanted to throw the rest away. Decided to give them to the kids, but I felt sorry for them having to eat these. Luckily little kids will eat anything. read more

Went to eat here for the first time this past weekend. I read the reviews and wanted to try the pupusas since we have moved to the valley from LA. Must say the food did not disappoint, pupusas were really good. Only bad thing was the beans i got for my breakfast that was ordered it was hard you can tell it was several days old. Secondly the waitress is really snobby and not friendly at all. I would still eat this food I probably just would take it to go. read more

Came in on a Sunday at 4pm on the website and all over the restaurant the hours posted are 8-6pm. The lady tells me they will close in 15min that would put closing at 4:15 ? I went here with my parents food was ok , it wasn't bad ,the pupusas are 3.11 they are really small , the curtido has a distinct color , you only get plastic silverware , you get a foam cup for your drink , idk if they are trying to save money but I was really disappointed overall specially for a sit in restaurant. We won't be coming back . read more

5 stars for the pupusas! I ordered the revueltas and the queso con loroco--so good! Chicken tamales are okay as well; filling and good. The staff are so hardworking despite being a bit understaffed. They attend to everyone so quickly! Come over during Mondays and Wednesdays for $1 revueltas pupusas. :) You won't regret it. read more

Good Pupusas! But not worth it if you come tues,Thursday, Saturday or sunday. They do have $1 specials on Monday and Wednesday, so doesn't hurt to try on those days. Service at the location isn't the greatest & parking is a tiny tiny parking lot were you might spend some time finding a spot. so my suggestion is take it to go! Let's just say... AMAZING! Everything we ate was made to order. You can even hear the lady in the back smacking the home made tortillas. I'm Cuban and Salvadorian, my husband is Mexican and for him being a picky eater, he really enjoyed the pupusas. We ordered the "chicharon con queso only" and we were very happy. They were delicious. They serve it with curtido which has a nice kick to it. Which means that it's a bit spicy which in my case, I enjoyed VERY MUCH! I also ordered orchata, that was great! Overall great food, decent parking, very clean location, and good service. Can def say one of our new favorite spots for pupusas. read more

This place has awesome pupusas! I like their carne asada tacos too! My friend swears by their carne asada enchiladas in the red sauce. I eat them like once a week and have to hold back from not going more often. I recommend calling-in your order and then picking up as it can take a bit for them to make the food. The ladies are always so pleasant! read more

Tongue quesadilla was good. Tacos were great with the green salsa otherwise dry. Horchata wasn't Mexican style. They also have a pharmacy and market section in there. Would go back and try pupusas after new menus are in. read more

I'm new and not from the area. I came here on my lunch ordered my burrito and my drink @12:19. I didnt get my drink till 10-15 of sitting. Then I got my burrito till 12:45. I had been asking if my burrito was almost done due to my lunch almost being over she said next time call. Need to work on customer service. No smiles they all look sad working there. read more

Came here and ordered dinner to go for my dad and me. I got a revuelta pupusa and a carnitas torta, and I got my dad a chicken burrito. The pupusa was soooooo good!!!! The torta was okay, but I didn't love the bread they used. It was way too much bread for the torta. My dad said his burrito was good. I'll be back, but just for pupusas I think! read more

I recently tried Mi Tierra Restaurante and overall, I was really impressed! I ordered food to go -- a wet burrito and some enchiladas -- and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, authentic, and comforting, just like good Mexican food should be. You can really tell they put effort into their dishes. I did stop inside to pick up my order, and I'll be honest: the music was a bit too loud for my taste, and there was a strong cleaning product smell that was a little overwhelming. It didn't affect my food, but I think a more subtle atmosphere would make the dining experience even better. That said, the food alone earned this place 5 stars for me. I'll definitely be coming back -- and maybe next time I'll dine in (hopefully with the music turned down just a bit!). read more

I love the Food in this place. I am in Love with their pupusas, Their Sopa de Gallina with the Gallina Asada is out of this world. Reminds me of how my Mother used to make it back in my home Country EL SALVADOR. They also have great home made fresh Mexican Food. Love their pinto beans. The interior is ordinary except for the city scene mural of Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. However, Yelper Rob B. raved about the Taco al Pastor and recommended a visit. So glad I did! Tacos here are drop dead flavourful in a way that emphasizes the satisfying Umami richness of the ingredients. Whoever is the cook, has a great grasp of what makes food taste great in the venerable style of cocina casera in most cases. Tacos: 1) Suadero is beef shoulder long braised in beef bouillon, possibly onion powder, sliced onions. The beef comes our moist, soft yet with a chaw. The broth marinade adds that extra richness that ups the beefiness. This is the best, exemplary Suadero I have experienced so far. The Tortillas de Maís used has definite ground corn aroma that plays into the meat flavours. Chopped onions and cilantro leaves add even more soapy, green herbal, & allium funkiness. Suadero here is the sh_t in a very good way!!! 2) Al Pastor has sweet, moist pork with a touch of "red adobo sauce made from dried chilies (like ancho and guajillo), achiote paste, garlic, and spices." Rodríguez version is closer to the standard version with finesse. Same Tortilla de Maís, onions, cilantro. (However, the al Pastor by Carnitas Michoacán on Victory & Coldwater Canyon in the 1990's with a touch of unorthodox Worcestershire sauce was revelatory.) 3) Puerco en Salsa de Chile Verde: The Tomatillo adds a sweet sour acidity while the cilantro has an underlying green, vegetal funkiness that pairs well with the meaty, sweet fibrous pork butt meat. There is even an undertone of aromatics that vaguely reminds me of Indian curry. Bit of green chiles like Jalapeño has piquancy to stimulate the taste buds and has distinctive bellpepper like aromatics. Slow cooked under low heat keeps the Salsa Verde green retaining the flavors of the original ingredients. Good, solid dish. Accompanied by mushy rice in slightly tomato based Umami broth. Frijoles de Pinto are mashed into a smooth purée with a bit of broth. Good. 4) Taquitos Dorados: 3 standard rolled Tacos stuffed with shredded beef fried in oil. Very bland since the beef didn't seem pre-seasoned with a spice rub. The fried tortilla de Maís was crispy. Really stingy with the Guacamole being a thin smear of light green fluid on the Taquitos along with Crema Mexicana, diced tomatoes, shredded iceberg lettuce, scattering of dry, fake parmesan cheese instead of the classic Queso Cotija with its well fermented, funky richness. Rather disappointing Taquitos Dorados considering Rodríguez has other more enticing, culinarily competent dishes. 1-4a) Horchata: Sweetened rice based drink ramped up with Mexican vainilla, canela/cinnamon made in house. Good drink to quell some of the piquant Salsa Roja, that tasted very close to Jalisco based Tapatillo bottled Salsa, and had a bit of chile heat kick. Service here is basic, well meaning, and adequate. 4 stars
