I have passed by this place so many times over the years and made a mental note to stop by and try their pupusas. Finally I did get to order from here yesterday. I got the bean and cheese pupusas. It came with the sauce and cabbage slaw. About $5 each pupusa. So two of them made me so full. It's a to go place. No space to sit and eat here. So I took mine home. It was pretty good. This place has been a staple since I was little and it's pretty darn good. Their food is great, we love getting their 10X$12 mini Pupusas. They are mini's and honestly perfect for those late nights that you get lazy too cook. We love them and their regular ones are great as well and pretty big and the ratio from meat to masa is great. Today I ordered a chicharron and queso pupusa and fried yucca with fried pork. Pupusa-good The yucca with pork- was really underwhelming. Everything lacked flavor and was very bland. Curtido-the flavor wasn't there it was lacking the acidity and the juice had a funky purple color kind of weird. These are the most important foods I ordered for me and it was a miss. I love me some pupusas!! I found this place through my delivery app and I was wondering how good could it be as the reviews were mixed. I got a plethora of pupusas as some of the locations I visited often in Vegas had their specialty flavors. I got the jalapeno cheese, Salvadorean chorizo and cheese, plain cheese, pork and cheese and chicken tamale. The chorizo one was really greasy but the flavor was ok but definitely not my favorite. The others were ok. BUT my favorite was the jalapeno and cheese!! Their salsa and cabbage slaw was good as well. The only thing that was a hard pass for me was the tamale. It was so dry. Being a Salvadorian myself (white and blue stay true), I know exactly what a bomb pupusa should taste like. I can't lie, this spot has good pupusas in my opinion. They even have mini pupusas. You get 10 for $12 bones plus tax. They do have a 0.75 cents charge if you use card. I usually get rebueltas (meaning a mix of three ingredients which is cheese, beans and chorizo). MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE PUPUSAS ARE JUST CHEESE!!!! The gooeyness of the cheese and when it develops a type of crunchy cheese crust at the edge!!! Ooooooooooh!!!!! Bomb dot com!!!!! There is no dining area. The place is too small for a dining area but that's ok. The ladies that work there are very nice and hard working. Straight up salvee.... PUTA VOS!!! Hahahahahahahah! Just a bit of salvadorian jargan. They even have horchata and not that powdered stuff that others claim to be horchata. I CAN TASTE THE QUALITY IN THEIR HORCHATA! I can taste the grains have been roasted prior to squeezing through a cheese cloth. Loook authentic horchata is made a certain way and your finished product should have a bomb cold and roasted tasting beverage. When I taste their horchata I taste EL SALVADOR!!!! The pupusas are big and ok tasting - nothing super special. The chorizo pupusa needed more chorizo, the asada was meaty but there wasn't much flavor to the steak, and the bean pupusa was just OK but all of them are really cheesy. The issue is the desserts. The cheesecake isn't actually cheesecake. It's a baked cheese cake and it was hard as a rock - we couldn't get a fork into it. The flan was ok on consistency but it had a chemical aftertaste to it. I've ordered from this place for delivery at least twelve times. It's mostly hit than miss and that's why I keep coming back. When it's a hit, it's soo amazing. Never had yucca fries with chicharon, bistek with shrimp or pupusas like this place. We will see how breakfast is when it arrives this morning. I read the reviews of bad or rude service but never experienced it since I order remotely through delivery platforms like door dash or Uber eats etc. this place is well priced and portions large. Sometimes meals can be over salted. Also if items missing or wrong, at least with the delivery platforms you don't have to speak with restaurant to correct or get a refund. Helpful for me since my Spanish isn't as good as it used to be. read more

i wish i could give negative ten stars. this place used to be the best little hole in the wall, until i went in yesterday and was refused service. why? because i don't speak spanish! No, literally. When I tried to place an order at the register, the woman responded to me in Spanish. when I didn't understand, a man who was dining in the restaurant translated what she said for me: "she doesn't want you to eat here anymore because you don't speak Spanish." I was absolutely confused...dumbfounded ...bewildered even...Surely this had to be a joke??! Because I genuinely loved this place and their food... But she made it very clear It was NOT a joke .. she started LAUGHING at me?!!! As if to say " I said what I said now GTFO." The woman's name was chanel or chantel. idr tbh, but she was the woman who wore a permanent look of despair on her face and the clear hatred for her life on her sleeve. Bottom line: dont come here if you dont speak spanish. btw you're running an establishment in north hollywood, expect a whole "gringos/ gringas." I was super bummed.
