I have very curly hair and I left it to the owner to do what he thought was best. The color came fabulous, all my grey roots are gone. He cut and styled my hair in a great way , that makes me look younger( always a good thing)! as per my friends. The salon is very clean and organized and everyone on staff was super polite, welcoming and professional. Prices are great, I will most definitely go back.

I called the day of and I got an appointment the same day because there was a cancellation. When I got to the salon I realized I had actually been there before a year prior! I was in a wedding party(maid of honor) and we actually had all the girls hair and makeup done by the hairdressers at Salon Doriano. At the time I was living 6 hrs away. The hair and makeup for everyone came out great and everyone was completed in time -- STRESS FREE. So now that I find myself back here I was pretty excited. My hair was kind of a two toned ombré mess before stepping into the salon and I honestly wasn't even sure how to fix it so it looked healthier and flowed better. My appointment was with Melissa and she was amazing. Besides being super easy to talk too, she really knew what she was doing and completely transformed my hair. I'd say i'm not usually the easiest to please when it comes to my hair but I absolutely love my new hair color and cut. I will definitely be returning and requesting Melissa again, I found my new hair salon and can't wait to recommend them to others!

Let's just say Ms Beatriz, who is a young and BEAUTIFUL GOD FEARING SOUL, placed her hands on my head and performed a miracle. My hair had been breaking too because of chemical poisoning (arsenic) from the last stylist in Italy so I was terrified to have someone else do it. Long story short it was the softest my hair had been, almost like I'm now a baby again. I'm not Dominican and have more course hair but these ladies, all of them love what they do and your hair responds so well to that. Hands down the most beautiful experience for anyone who has had hair trauma. Please go here regardless of who you pray to, but I promise you'll find God and all the angels too there. They ruined my perfectly healthy hair after I had been going there for about two years. I even referred friends with coily hair textures. If you have any type of Type 4 hair, I do not recommend going there. I trusted these people with my hair, and now it is ruined because of a relaxer and chemicals. It is ridiculous how some people want others to be miserable just because they are not like them.

First of all--the salon is an absolutely adorable space in the equally adorable Pawling. It's very clear the owner of the salon takes pride in her business. I had made my appointment with Giana on their online booking system (which I've since learned is new). The confirmations I'd received were for 15 minutes prior to what I had thought was my designated appointment time. I wasn't sure if this was because they wanted me to get there early or if I'd mistaken the time, so to be safe, I got there 10 minutes before the time reflected on the confirmations. The salon was closed with no one around. No biggie as I was early. I waited until 15 minutes after the time I had thought I'd made my appointment for (so 30 minutes later than the time my confirmations had reflected) and reached out via Instagram (mainly because I had booked online which requests your cc# and mentions a fee for no-shows and I wanted to be sure they knew I'd been there). The owner was super apologetic. Apparently, there was a snafu with their new online booking system. I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out with that but for now might be worth a quick phone call to confirm your appointment is showing up on their schedule. That said, my appointed stylist lives 5 minutes aways so she was able to run down quickly. So, about 50 minutes after my arrival, I was finally in the salon! Giana took a look at the pics I brought for what I was hoping from my cut/color. She was very thoughtful and brought out their color book to ensure the right color combo. She also asked a lot of questions in order to ensure she cut it the right length etc. She did careful work on the cut and color--the only small complaint I had was that she didn't really condition it (she may have done a light spritz of leave in conditioner? Not sure) but ultimately 10 minutes after I left the salon my hair got incredibly staticky from being so dry. I've never had this happen before but it made for a comical afternoon of my hair standing on end in the airport. Ha! That said, as soon as I got back home to Wisconsin, I washed and thoroughly conditioned my hair and am very happy with the cut and color. She did a great job matching the color photo and cut photo I had provided! All in all, obviously a bit of a mixed bag but I feel like it was just an off day and like I said--the end results now that I'm home are great.

I asked her where she went and was told she went to Kelly at DKA - I called and set up my appointment which had to be rearranged due to a personal engagement which Kelly had. She was gracious about setting up a convenient time for me to get in. Today was the day - and as always going to someone new can be nerve racking - however, what great job she did to not only bring my color back to life, but also to correct a hair cut gone previously wrong. Parking is little (unless they have in the back?) but I have been parking in the front. But overall it was a great experience!
