I was concerned about my brakes so I brought it to the Lexus dealership in New Jersey before I left for my trip. The service representative said, I would be able to drive my vehicle to Florida and of course he quoted me a price, which was astronomical, even with my Veterans discount. As a woman, I always feel the dealerships tend to overcharge women, because they believe they can scare us. So pathetic! Anyway, in February I drove down to Florida for the SOBEFEST in Miami. The day after I arrived, my car was making noise and the first thing I thought about was my brakes. As I couldn't remember the repair shop I went to a few years ago, I went to Yelp and there it was, "Longlife Automotive!" I arrived in the morning and spoke to a gentleman named Mitch. He took my car to get it checked and when he came back, he said there was nothing wrong with my brakes and all I needed was an oil change. I was in shock!! In New Jersey they told me I needed new brakes and here all I needed was an oil change. Can you imagine how much money I saved? As I explained to Mitch that was even with a Veteran discount. Guess what, I showed Mitch my DD214, showing I served in the United States Army and he gave me a discount as well. It took me a while to write this review, maybe because I am headed to Miami in September. I didn't forget about you Mitch and Thank you again for your honesty.

I told the dealer I thought the undercarriage of the car scraped against something and left it with them to do a diagnostic. They come back with this story about me needing a new fuel pump, and three other new parts on the car which was going to run 1,100. I told Grand Prize Chevrolet that I'd had the car there a month ago for a routine repair that went great and all those parts couldn't have gone bad in a month. They said they were right and that I could tow it elswhere if I wanted. My stepdad said, "We'll tow it out of here. All that can't be wrong with the car." We towed it to Nation, Ariel looked at it and big surprise. He found a loose wire under the undercarriage of the car! He fixed the wire and my car had been running great for 7 months since! Oh yeah, and he charged me $95.00. That's right less than $100 bucks. Needlsess to say I took the copy of the repair and went over to Grandprize and asked for my money for the diagnostic charge back. They were classy and right enough to refund me the money.
