Worst moving company EVER! Just used them for July 1 move. First, they were late showing up therefore, we didn't make it to our new place on time and they had to keep our stuff overnight. Second, they didn't wrap things or label boxes after they were packed. Third, I'm missing a bag of change (over $200). Fourth, they taped up our wooden furniture, which stripped the finish when I removed the tape. Finally, one of the movers sexually harassed me (he dropped his pants and put his hand down his boxers and asked, "Maybe you can help me with this."). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Very unprofessional and unreliable. I had booked moving today at 11am and made it clear that I could only use service elevator at my destination until 3pm. I was told there was a one hour window from 11am which was ok. My text requesting an eta went unanswered by Rey Silva the guy that booked me only to receive a call from the movers at 10:53am to tell me it would be 12 or 12:30pm. So we wait. Meantime still trying to reach Rey to find out what is the holdup and help solve it. No response. At 12:30pm I call movers, he doesn't answer but texts me they are 40 mins away. I continue to call Rey. Nothing. 40 mins later i text mover asking how far. No answer. Mind you, they know that I had elevator until 3pm and it is now 1:19pm and apts are about 25 minutes away. The mover finally answers my call at 1:29pm says they are still not done with the movers in a community 30 minutes away and asks if we can move tomorrow!! After screwing up all our plans, displacing us and making us waste time off of work literally sitting around and waiting for hours. Still have yet to hear back from Rey, the rep that is supposed to be helping. Very disappointed at how dishonest the movers were the entire time with their timeline and the lack of accountability from the movers AND the rep. Ladies and gents, invest elsewhere for this service. Overall I had a mixed experience. The sales process was smooth and great and the movers were professional and worked extremely hard when I was around and they were enjoyable to work with. My complaints: * I felt like I was milked for an extra hour while they were loading the truck. Not only did I pay for their extra time I had to pay my building an extra $100 for the extra hour I was late. * I was gauged for materials. I paid $168 for some tape and wrap. On the bill it showed that they used 16 rolls of tape, but I only counted 6 empty rolls that they left at my place and I know they did not use tape in the truck or take the empty rolls with them. Also, I know they used quite a bit of wrap, but I don't think it was $100 worth. I am not sure how they used 16 rolls of tape when all they did was wrap most of the furniture. I had all the prep work done for everything except the large furniture items * Damaged a $1600 leather bed but they admitted it was their mistake, they gave me $75 off the move but for me to get the $75 discount he had to go to the truck to get a sheet for me to sign. Well it took 20 minutes to go get the sheet, so I was billed another 30 minutes just for him to go get the sheet. That is $57.50 I paid extra for him to go get the sheet, so I could get a $75 discount. * Lost a $80 stainless steel garbage can. I called and left sales a VM on Monday and did not hear anything back. I checked both buildings inside and out and it was nowhere to be found. * I was helping and I was told that I was going to get one of the guys fired because I was helping. I wasn't sure if he was joking or not. Positives: * I liked working with the crew. Easy going and fun to work with * Hard working when they were in sight. * I felt confident that they were not going to damage anything, yes my bed was damaged but accidents do happen. * I felt they were experienced * Were honest about damaging the bed and handled it well. I could tell the guy felt bad. I was originally told that most 1-bedroom apartments took around three hours. I assumed that it would be closer to 4 hours since that is what it took the movers during my last move with the exact same items. That 4 hours included sharing the elevator at the old apartment and the new apartment which took longer. This also included a 45-minute drive to get from FT Lauderdale to Midtown Miami. My first impression when the movers showed up was great, they showed up 20 minutes early and we got right to work. In the first 30 minutes we had most of the boxes and small items at a staging area by the elevator and ready to be put on the elevator to be taken to the first floor and then be loaded on the truck. At first, I was worried that we would should up at the new place to early and the elevator would not be ready. Boy was I wrong. Once all the boxes and odds and ends items were at the staging area in front of the elevator the movers seemed to disappear for some time and they were blaming the elevator for the delay, we did share the elevator, but I don't think it would have caused an hour delay. I feel like I was milked for an extra hour while they were loading the truck. For the move prep I had all the small items boxed up and ready to go. All we had to do was wrap the furniture. I was helping the whole time minus loading the truck at the old place. Elevator at old residence from 4-6 * We ended up staying at the old place from 3:40 to 6:40 Elevator at new residence from 6-8 * Started unloading at 7 and we had all items in apartment at 8:40, then we started doing the paperwork which took 30 minutes which I was billed for. My Inventory: Sectional Small Coffee table TV Stand 2 small end tables King size bed Two nightstands Kitchen table with 6 chairs 2 bar stools Computer desk Ikea bookshelf Outdoor kitchen table with 2 chairs Toolbox About 24 Medium sized Uhaul boxes 3 plastic tubs 2 tvs that were boxed up in original box 3 rugs Some small odds and end things like brooms, ironing board and two pictures, bike I am not sure I would use again, I will think about it after I cool down and relax after the move. They were great to work with, but I felt like they took an extra hour loading the truck at the old truck and gauged me on the supplies that they may or may not have used. read more

I had a great moving experience with these guys. They offered me a competitive rate, they were easy to deal with, and the mover Albert and his associate were EXCELLENT hard workers. I was ready to move my furniture sooner than expected, so on a SUNDAY morning I called them hoping to get movers and a truck within hours. They got back to me within minutes to let me know a truck was 10 minutes away from my apartment, and they weren't joking - the movers showed up at my building right away. Albert and the other mover were friendly, helpful, and extremely hard working. They loaded all my stuff up super fast, and unloaded it just as quickly. I had a large, heavy couch that wouldn't fit in my elevator. They offered to carry the couch up to my place on the ELEVENTH FLOOR! They got up to the third floor of my building, only to find out it wouldn't fit through the hallway doors, so they had to carry it back down. These guys worked so hard, did a great job, nothing was damaged, and they did it all quickly. I would recommend them to anyone looking to do a local move in Miami. The movers themselves were professional. But I can't say the same about the company as a whole. Its big selling points is "no hidden fees", which they say makes them more affordable than other companies that charge less per hour. However, they do have hidden fees, which is a surcharge if you pay with credit card. Nobody tells you about it until the movers are at your door. Also the management was not helpful (in fact, rude) when I raised the issue. Move for less by using another company! read more

I have used this moving company 3 times in the past. The movers arrived on time, neatly packed all of my furniture & other valuable items. Each of my move went really smooth and stress free. These movers are very skilled and experienced and I would definitely use this company for all of my future moves. Highly recommended! WARNING: COMPLETE NIGHTMARE OF A COMPANY!!!! SCAMMERS, LIARS AND JERKS THAT DESERVE ZERO STARS!!! I have never had a more stressful, disjointed, unprofessional moving experience in my entire life. It is beyond me how they got even one good review. They will low-ball you with a quote and then send the most incompetent people with no sense of urgency whatsoever. The two clowns they sent to move my small two bedroom apartment took over 10 hours just to get it on the truck. By the time we arrived at my storage it was 10:30pm. That is when they hit me with the total which was over $600 dollars more than the original quote. I was not going to being taken advantage of any further so I tried to reach management but of course it was too late by then which I believe was done by design. The movers got rude and began to place blame on me for how long it took them to move. At that point, they said that they wouldn't unload the truck so they drove it to their sketchy storage location. They held my things hostage for four days until I could arrange for another moving company to go get it and finish the job they were hired to do. By the way, that is 100% illegal!!! Several neighbors later reported that the two movers were smoking pot while taking my things out to the truck. I assumed that they were just not very bright but they also seemed to move in slow motion which makes sense now. I have no issue with marijuana itself but when someone is smoking on my dime and doing a horrible job it is maddening. Not to mention that it's very unsettling to think of these guys driving thousands of pounds down the street high. There are so many pedestrians and animals in my area who were at risk of getting hit that day. When I reported this to the guy who booked my move and suggested that they be given a drug test considering what a liability that is, he said that I needed proof in the form of camera footage. Not only was he completely unconcerned, he actually insinuated that I was making a false accusation and backed them up. You'd think that any company that employs drivers would want to at least look into it but NOPE! Every trip out to the truck took about 30 mins. I was continuously asking them to speed it up but it was as if they were looking through me. They had zero concern for my budget or time. They took over an hour dinner break which they did not charge me for but that was the only decent thing that happened in the whole horrendous experience. There is absolutely no excuse for it to have taken 10 hrs but customer service and management maintained that it was my fault for misdirecting them. But in fact, the guys were so out of it that I constantly had to correct them for stupid things like putting my suitcase on the truck. The one that I repeatedly told them needed to stay with me. I didn't realize that I would have to to manage their employees. It was so exhausting and they were beyond unapologetic. This company should be shut down. It makes me angry when people from another country come here and rip off hardworking citizens. These guys give Ukraine and movers in general, a bad name. Shame on them!!!! read more

While our movers did a good job moving our items, and the rate is competitive with the other budget movers in Miami. BUT they showed up 2 hours late... and with no phone call or email. Additionally, we scheduled 3 movers and they only brought two. We were literally Renting a U-Haul when they called because we weren't sure if they would show up. No one was answering their office phone number. If you have moves scheduled at 8 then your office should be open at 8. They showed up at 10....That's a really crappy situation to put someone in who is moving and has rented elevator space to accommodate the move. Yes, they adjusted the rate to charge us the hourly rate for 2 movers and not 3, but we got no phone call, apology or discount. Very disappointed. I should have read the reviews before booking. I also have had a terrible experience. I booked my move weeks ago. I even got a confirmation yesterday and I responded and confirmed. the confirmation stated that the movers would be here at 7am with a one hour window. At 8.30 I contacted my sales person (Jane) and she said to ignore that time and that it was 9am-11am per my contact. No problem. I waited until 12noon and still nobody. I sent Jane another text. She didn't respond. Then, an hour later some random person from a courier company in LA called and said she'd been asked to urgently get my things and that she didn't have any trucks in the area but was looking for another date. She then called back an hour later and said she couldn't do it. I went back to Jane again and then she took another 5 hours - only to respond to say that the driver had been sick (obviously a lie because they would have called me first thing that morning and rescheduled) and that she couldn't get me another driver for 4 more days (which was then beyond when I had to move by). So now I am waiting for a refund from them and I have to desperately find someone to move me within 48 hours. I would never ever use this company again nor recommend them. read more

Today, I needed to move contents of my storage to my apartment in Miami. I called this company and spoke to a nice gentleman name Rey. HE was able to get me couple of movers for this afternoon! Moving crew showed on time and quickly loaded pre-packed items on a truck. When they delivered everything, they unpacked and put together all the furniture that was moved! Horrible experience. Got swindled by the movers that came who said they would "hook me up" with a "cheaper" price if I gave them cash. Also they were very careless with my possessions. Almost every item they moved ended up with scrapes or dents. And their idea of putting furniture back together is smashing it until the pieces fit. Never seen anything like it. I did not think after prior experiences that I would ever give a moving company a 5 star review, but here we are. Rey, was able to schedule the reservation right away. The guys arrived right on time. They moved antique solid wood furniture with professionalism and care. They got items from 2 locations and deposited them in storage. They have a 3 hour minimum and charge by the hour... which typically means working at snail pace to milk the clock. Not these fellas. They worked at a swift clip. They wrapped and moved a heavy antique sofa, 2 matching chairs; a large antique dining table w 8 chairs; a large antique vanity, mirror, and bench; an antique center table, antique bedside table, and antique rocking chair. From the 2nd location they took 40 boxes of books, 8 boxes of fragile items and 4 boxes of miscellaneous to the storage facility. They completed this move inside of 2 hours. read more

Be careful with paper work they give you to sign....driver gives you to sign before starting ...document that "goods were delivered in good condition" before services are provided. I moved with them Saturday. This is my first experience with a moving company so please keep in mind my expectations might be different than anyone reading this. It went like this: Arrival was suppose to be 9 am but they arrived at 9:30 am. That, I didn't mind because I thought I had said 10 am. I had 3 guys for a 2 bedroom and a 20 foot truck. There was a main guy that I think was Tim but I'm not sure. He was so professional, very friendly and into customer service. He 100% was an all star in moving but his team wasn't as experienced. Out of the 3 there was one kid that could've been better but still 2 out of 3 is a win in my book. They took a while.. a long while. I was expecting about 4 hours but they finished with my apartment in 3 sooooo there goes that. What they did do very well was take their time in packing and packaging. None of my items were broken, scratched or anything of the sort. I don't mind paying a little extra if it means they wont destroy my things. I think in total time it was about 5 hours but there was of course other additional charges for things I didn't pack right. I believe that this would've been much smoother had I actually done the right prepping. They spent a lot of time on things I could've done for them such as covering the TV's or the art. I should've taken apart the bed frame.. these are things I know now but didn't coming in. I overpaid and the owner called me to refund me and did so promptly which was super nice and honest and for that I will always go back to this company. This company sub-contracts different moving companies in the area, so you never know which moving company will be assigned to you. Last year, I had a different moving company which was phenomenal! This year, they sent a different company called Shark Moving. Here's my review for this move: Worst moving company in the area. They left half of my belongings at the old house. At the new location, they put all of my belongings in the wrong rooms and didn't even unpack. I had to move heavy pieces from one room to another by myself with no help. They left boxes, tape and garbage all over the apartment and just left. They charged me $446 just for materials when I already had boxes and tape previously bought. They also charged me $95/worker (there were 3) for 6 hours. One of the movers said that my tape was no good (scotch packing tape) and that theirs was better and he charged me for their tape. They scratched up the floors in both locations by pushing the furniture in. I had asked them to please assemble 2 beds before they left and at my insistence only assembled one. They also overcharged me. They charged me $1,016 for a 2 bedroom move. The new location was 15 mins away. When I told them that they were overcharging me and that I couldn't pay the $1,016 at the moment, they stopped the move for a whole hour, which they tried to charge me as well. They threatened to take my things to their storage until I could pay the full amount! Be very careful using this company. I would not ever use them again. Update 04/05/17 at 10am: Representative from "Move for Less" called me after he read this review and offered me a monetary compensation for my troubles. He offered to deposit $350 in my PayPal account. He made a deposit of $339.55, which is less than we agreed on. He also said that the company would send someone to assemble my daughter's bed. I requested someone for today at 9am. No one called and no one came to my home. Still waiting for someone to contact me. When I mentioned that my previous landlord was going to charge me for the floor the movers damaged, he offered a handyman. So in conclusion, although they did reimburse me for an amount of money, it wasn't the amount agreed upon, I'm still waiting for someone to assemble the bed and finally waiting for some type of solution for the wooden floor they scratched up. Will update as things progress. Update 04/05/17 5:30pm: Got a call from company to schedule bed assembly. I asked for 5pm. Two men put my daughter's bed together very quickly and a mirror from her drawer set. Very happy with the two workers they sent! read more

I was unable to use this mover since they stopped taking my calls or answer my emails. I spoke with Rey and he seemed kind and professional on the phone. His quote seemed reasonable. When I called back to book the move and finalize the proposal, he didn't answer the phone. Never responded to my frequent calls and voice messages. I even tried emailing but again no return calls. Rey never responded to me. Why would I consider them responsible movers? If Rey didn't want to take the job, he could just say so. read more

I would recommend this company to anyone and would use them again. Great experience! From the start of booking the move, my contact Rey was helpful and explained everything. No down payment was required and I was charged toward the end, when nearly everything was unloaded into my new place. I had most of my stuff packed in boxes, and left most furniture out. As soon as they showed up they started moving the boxes and one guy started putting blankets on the furniture and taping it on. They only put blankets on wood, metal, and plastic furniture. Fragile stuff like mirrors we had to bubble wrap and cover in cardboard beforehand. Blankets were free. Tape and other packing material were charged unless you had your own which they would use first. The only negative thing I can think of was that they planned to show up at 8am. They called at 8 and said they were 15 min away, but then didn't arrive until 9am. Still within the one-hour window that they guarantee, but they had reinforced that they planned to start at 8am. They did work very fast, and finished in close to the amount of time predicted. Overall I was very satisfied. read more

Extremely professional! They charge per hour, not flat rate but the team works fast. Booker gave me a very generous estimate of $350 for moving 1br apartment from North Miami beach to FLL. I expected the bill to go higher as it is impossible to get the job done in 3 hrs. It took them 5 hrs (including driving) from the moment they arrived to the moment they finished. They showed up perfectly on time and were very careful with my stuff. Nothing was damaged or lost. All boxes were distributed correctly into the rooms according to signs ob the boxes and my directions. All packaging was removed. Highly recommend. Again, the booker was a bit odd, he couldnt find my deposit and gave me unrealistic estimate, and i would still give this company 5 stars because of how careful they were with my things. read more

I spoke with Jane and she gave me a very reasonable quote for my long distance move from Hialeah, FL to California. The pick up went great, there were three guys moving everything into the truck and was expecting to get things three weeks after the first available date but actually got them two days after! I was so happy! I had a great experience and highly recommend Move for Less for a long distance move. Beware!! They are not transparent with the cost of the service. They added $50 to my bill when moving from Brickell to Coral Gables and that amount was not in the quote. I called to complain and they treated me horribly. Go to another vendor if you want to have a good experience. Yelp very rarely steers me wrong, but I was not at all satisfied with the moving services of this company and am honestly confused by all of the good reviews. First of all they showed up an hour and a half PAST the 2 hour window they had originally scheduled our move for. Prior to them arriving, we had packed all of our belongings in boxes and required no packing services from them. We had 2 TVs and a few small side tables that were not packed because we expected them to simply wrap them in moving blankets, after all we were only moving 20 blocks north. When they arrived the first thing they did was tack on 80 extra dollars to wrap the TVs and tables in moving blankets and cardboard. Fine, whatever. What really frustrated me is that they took over 3 hours to move our pre-packed one bedroom apartment into the truck. A year ago we moved the exact same contents from our apartment in NYC, where we used flat-rate movers, who took less than 1 hour to pack all of our belongings up into their truck. "Movers for less" charges an hourly rate rather than flat-rate, so I did expect them to take longer than a flat rate company, but the discrepancy was just too big not to point out. When they finally finished packing our apartment we got into our car and headed to our home. After more than half an hour had passed since we had arrived at our home (which is a 5 minute drive from our apartment), we gave them a call, and they informed us that they had stopped to grab something to eat because they had not eaten all day, but they assured us that we would not be charged for that time. That seemed fair. When they arrived at our home I began to realize why they had taken so long in the first place-- they have absolutely no system in place for loading and unloading the truck efficiently. Literally one of the movers was taking small item by small item off the truck individually and then walking each individual item into the home and placing it down. They used no dollies, they did not combine boxes for their trips. This was a bit frustrating to me, not only because I was being charged by the hour but because it was already dark out and frankly I wanted to be done, so I began to help. I asked them if they had a box cutter so I could start removing the heavily taped moving blankets from the bigger items, and they said they did not have a box cutter, that they just use their keys, again, that is extremely inefficient for a professional moving company. When they were finally finished after 5 hours, they settled the bill. when I noticed that he did not take off time for his food break, I mentioned it nicely to which he replied "oh c'mon that was like 10 minutes." I found this extremely unprofessional, especially considering that he himself had volunteered that we "would not be charged for that time" over the phone, and also because there's no way it only delayed them 10 minutes. I was frankly embarrassed and agreed to pay for the extra time. Then after we paid with our credit card, he reminded us that they "work for tips" and showed us the screen that only allowed for a 15% tip. 15% is nowhere near the standard for movers, it's more like 5%. Again I felt pretty uncomfortable, but I instead tipped them cash, $20 each, which they seemed pretty pissed about. I really didn't think a company with this kind of rating on yelp would drag a 2 hour move into a 5+ hour move. I did not feel like the movers were professionals. I'm not sure if they were being deliberately inefficient or not, but the fact is if i'm paying by the hour, I expect a reasonable amount of efficiency. I would definitely not recommend. read more

Please, Be aware of this moving Co. Move for less. Very disappointed experience. From a beginning quote of $ 3360, I ended paying $ 5650. Even we received a miserable compensation of $300 from them. There is a summary of what happened: "It was few incidents starting in the loading day scheduled the last April 30th, at 8:00 am. Andrei and his 2 partners (Vladimir and Sergei) arrived after 9:00 am. They started loading in very fast pace but after the first long break they took 2 others long breaks.  Even one of them, Vladimir, took off his shirt (inside of my house) for a while and changed his shoes for sandals.Manuel ( the seller guy) called me twice in the morning asking me how it was going but in the afternoon he stopped calling. At the end of the day, specifically the contract and payment time, Andrei showed me the bill statement for signing. Andrei even tried to negotiate the bill with the tip. Andrei stated: Pay $ 5,750 and you don't have to give us the tip.    But if you  sign to pay the co.  this bill  $ 5,650 you have to give us the tip of $20 by 3 because we are 3 in this party. Even he asked for 3 tips of $20 because they were three. Before signing I try to call the salesman Manuel (Manny) and let him know about the double price original payment bill quote and the other incidents. He never answered the call when I really needed to contact him about the final loading, contract and final price; regarding the negotiating and giving the tips to Andrei and the 2 other partners. We were expecting the movers, May 11th as it notified by email from Murat, but they called us having a delay. We had the delivery May 12th. Some furniture were delivery broken and some missing boxes.  Then, we proceed to send by email a claim to the insurance and the co. attached the pictures with the broken furniture. After few days, we realized they were 2 missing bed headboards too.  We decided to call the company. They told us they have the headboards and they both were broken. First of all, they should told us about that, instead of waiting for us to ask about them.  Please note the insurance quote is only for one headboard and there should be two. 3 damage items and 5 items missing. " For the unprofessional behavior the delays, the inconveniences, the broken furnitures, the lost boxes, the hidden truth about some furnitures, etc , I don't recommend this co. read more

I had 3 movers; seemed nice at first end results were despicable, they broke my dresser and lied and said that's how it was. They took apart my tv stand and left pieces at the old place and lost screws. They lost the screws for my baby's safety gate. Been trying to get in contact with Monica since and still no word from her. They procrastinated the move often having a pow wow outside. When asked to place the mattress correctly after they placed it incorrectly I was told " we already placed it that's no longer our issue" yea very rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THOSE MOVERS read more

Ok.....our movers were horrific, things like this can happen sometimes even with the best of companies. My experience with Move for Less was an 8 hour nightmare and I let their customer service know it. If the move went as well as the customer service Move for Less would have gotten 5 stars. They apologized and reimbursed some of the expense. I believe my experience is an isolated incident of Murphy's Law. Anything that could have gone wrong did! My advise to anyone moving whether it's Move for Less or another company....if the movers show up and it's not as stated on the contract, 2 men instead of 3, and the truck is broken, call the management and get it resolved before it hits the fan. read more

Professional, polite movers. Took little over 5 hours to move my two bedroom into storage in Miami Gardens. Guys were on time. Customer service did a great job with insurance certificate and i got discounted storage rate. read more

I moved from Miami to New York and Miami Movers For Less made it comfortable and without any issues. Guys from this company are very attentive to the details and always ready to help if I need something. I didn't have any problems with the contract since I was consulted by the manager who answered all my questions clearly. I'll definitely recommend it to my friend. read more
