If I could give 0 stars, I would. Do NOT take your pet here. They refused to approve flea treatment for my cat simply because my cat's vaccines were not done through their office. My cat is fully up to date on all vaccinations, but I use a low-cost animal hospital for vaccines. Because I'm not paying their high prices for vaccinations, they would not approve the flea treatment my cat needs. This is absolutely absurd and incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this vet to anyone. Stay far away if you truly care about your pet. In my experience, they seem more focused on money than on the well-being of animals. read more

After I posted my negative review about my dog's death, Miami Pet Clinic suddenly got flooded with 5-star reviews. Something doesn't add up. My healthy 16-month-old dog Koda died after a routine spay because both of Dr. Piedra's original sutures completely slipped off her ovarian arteries. Complications happen, sometimes sutures come loose slightly, but we're talking about both sutures completely failing on the same dog. Multiple veterinary experts confirmed this is surgical incompetence. Imagine if this happened to a person, you go in for surgery and they don't properly suture your organs. Dr. Piedra never spoke to me before surgery, mentioned no risks, then hid behind staff when Koda was dying. Only called me directly when I demanded it, after her staff was claiming Koda was "obese" with "risks" never mentioned before. I chose this clinic because Dr. Piedra seemed warm and kind. Now I live with the weight of that decision every single day. I can't get it off my conscience that my completely healthy dog died because I trusted the wrong vet. When both sutures completely fail, that's not bad luck, that's a surgeon who shouldn't be operating. I paid over $8000 in vet fees and lost my dog in the process. Negligent and Unprofessional--Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. This clinic has repeatedly failed to provide proper care and has shown a complete lack of professionalism. Not only have they misdiagnosed multiple pets in our family, but they also refuse to see us now simply because we sought second opinions--something any responsible pet owner should do. First, my brother's cat Binx was very sick with a lump on his face. This vet immediately diagnosed him with cancer without running any real tests. Wanting to be sure, we took him elsewhere for a second opinion, where they actually performed a biopsy and determined he did not have cancer. Instead of admitting their mistake, the vet added a note to our file saying she would no longer work with us because we "didn't trust her judgment." When we recently tried to schedule an appointment for another cat, we were told the vet refused to see us out of spite. Unfortunately, this isn't the only case of their negligence. My boyfriend once brought his cat Mark in with an apparent respiratory infection. They misdiagnosed him and irresponsibly treated him with antibiotics. When the medication didn't work (because it wasn't bacterial), they just threw more antibiotics at the problem. This aggressive and careless treatment caused severe damage--Mark developed a prolapsed anus, was bleeding, and had to be hospitalized. The damage was so severe that my boyfriend, devastated, had to relinquish his pet because he couldn't afford the life-saving treatment needed to fix what this clinic caused. And yet, they still haven't learned. Recently, my brother took another one of our cats, Coca, to this clinic when she developed a respiratory infection. They once again prescribed antibiotics, which did absolutely nothing. Having seen what happened to Mark, I refused to let Coca suffer the same fate. With just one Google search, I was able to correctly identify her condition and successfully nurse her back to health--something the so-called professionals here failed to do. To make matters worse, when we picked up Coca's medication, we later discovered they had given us expired medication. I had to go back myself to get it replaced. The fact that they're so careless that they're handing out expired medicine is just another example of how dangerous this place is for pets. What's even more ridiculous is their own response to complaints like mine. When others have mentioned the vet refusing service, they replied, "Just as every pet parent has the right to choose who and where they receive treatment, it is in our right to also be able to choose the patients and clients whom we attend." Which is ironic, because all we did was exercise our right to seek a second opinion. So, according to them, pet owners should have a choice, but only as long as it doesn't hurt their ego? This clinic is negligent and irresponsible. They misdiagnose, overprescribe harmful medications, and refuse service when questioned--all at the expense of pets' lives. If you love your animals, do not bring them here. And now, let's see if they reply with their usual excuse: that they "can't find our file" or that "we should talk about this the proper way." Funny how they suddenly forget everything when it comes to taking accountability. We are not interested in working anything out with this establishment and would only like to raise awareness about their incompetence. read more

I wanted to like this vet, I really did. But since day one, they have been combative, difficult to work with, and offer poor customer service. The quality of the care they provide to the pets is excellent, but they treat the owners very poorly. Today, I wanted to make an appointment for my cat, and the receptionist said only the manager could do that, which makes no earthly sense. Why wouldn't you allow your receptionists to make appointments? How is that a logical way to run a business? After I called back, I was scolded for not waiting for a call back. Excuse me? I should be allowed to call as needed. But I came to find out, and not directly from the manager, because god forbid he or she got on the phone, but from the receptionist that they would no longer be treating either of my pets! When were they going to inform me? I had to just sort of stumble upon that information. Here's the bottom line: if you don't mind dealing with the incompetence, rigidity, and rudeness of this Clinic, then they're amazing. But if you have any self-respect, it's not the place for you. Update: what the owner's response fails to mention, or ignores really, is that I wasn't informed initially that the Clinic no longer wanted to treat my pets. It was only after two phone calls that I was able to glean that information. And that's really the root of the issue: poor communication and poor attitudes. I didn't mention it in my review, but I was reprimanded once for leaving my cat at this vet. No one communicated to me that I had to wait at the Clinic, and I was working, and didn't have time. But it's clear based on the response from the owner, and treatment I've received, that this business doesn't truly care about its customers. Fortunately, I found a new clinic, which is much better and doesn't have a chip on their shoulder. Oh, and they understand customer service. Once again, if you want to deal with customer-service-oriented staff, and non-moody doctors, I wouldn't recommend this clinic. read more

My dogs have always been treated with a lot of love in this clinic. No complaints other than I come from Fort Lauderdale, work weekdays and it is hard for me to stop by only during week days. I want to share my personal experience with this clinic , I was a client of this veterinary clinic however had a very negative experience , I took a kitty that was out of shape not even a minute later the vet came out informed me " I will not put a needle on this cat as he will die , I was then charged 40 dollars , " I paid the forty dollars and left the office crying no words were said , the clinic called me twice to follow up , I expressed my feelings to the young lady I advised her " I am not happy I don't understand why you are following up with me when basically advised the cat will not be seen , outlook poor he will croak with just a needle ". I called today to make appointment for a cat that had two dental surgeries at the clinic , as I wanted to ensure continuity of care since they have medical records , otherwise I would not bother with them due to their poor moral. I was then told my Ailén the manager that the case in active , I was confused and he said it means he cannot be seen , I inquired why and he did not have a response , I figured they were upset based on my previous complaint . I stated i will report them to the better business bureau , my bf called to inquire why I was black listed and they informed that I was " emotional and raise my voice " , I have never disrespect the office , used profanity I just expressed my feelings , I feel this business lacks profesionalism, have poor moral , money orientated , low ethics , they denied continuity or care to my cat . After new ownership this place has improved somewhat in a sense. It's more updated and cleaner than it once was, to the point that they don't accept cash at all.They accept cards and Apple Pay. Getting your dogs nails trimmed and filed is $15, and they will NOT file their nails unless you insist that they do. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere and has a lot of homeless people around which isn't the best impression. read more

Extremely shocked and disappointed with this place. I took my 4 month puppy here. I transferred vets to this place bc they were more affordable. I was wrong in doing so. My puppy had a fractured paw and got his cast wet/dirty so I took him there to update his shots and to change his cast since it had been over two weeks and he was in need of a change to avoid infection and bacteria. The vet handed me back my pup with a "new cast" I was impressed at the time bc they changed it without having to put him under... although I could hear my puppy yelling for mercy. later after the tape started to wear and tear it revealed that they wrapped over his old cast and did not change it at all. I called highly upset bc they lied to me and still charged me. The manager was very rude and replied with insults like "is this your first pet?" " stop talking when i'm talking" just extremely rude and not understanding. After being upset about my concern of puppy's risk of infection and explaining that during this covid 19 finances are not good if he could reimburse me the next visit for the procedure I did not receive. The manager response was that me not my puppy was allowed back to the facility, knowing that he had his cast removal that day. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of care for pets they have and the poor customer service DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PET!!!! read more

Wow, the staff is amazing. They are very attentive of anything you and your pet may need at any point. The doctor explains complicated information in a way that is easy to understand and whether you speak English or Spanish this is the clinic for you. My pet was happy to be there and they made them feel at home in the waiting room. Even though, I couldn't go into the examination room I trusted that they were being taken care of. You make an appointment on your day off for 10:30 & its 11:30 and they still havent received you yet, but they do tell you 10 more minutes... after 15 more minutes your still there waiting. One of my dogs had surgery on his back leg. Dr. Piedra called when the surgery was completed, explained what she found and how it was repaired, and then called a few hours later with his recommendation for keeping my dog there overnight and his post-op recovery. I picked him up the next morning, was given a full report by Dr. Piedra, and had a bag waiting for me with medications and instructions.
