It reopened as Super Wheels and the happiness and crowd came back. I have nothing but the nest childhood memories here. Even had a birthday party here when I was 8 ( don't try to calculate my age) lol. I have pictures with friends from elementary to high school. Then a sad article came out saying it was closing. They were going to bring an old school night back as ," End of N Era" tribute complete with DJ Laz and some surprise guest dj's. I couldn't miss it. I swear everyone and there mother was there. It was a reunion on all happy levels. I danced so much it looked like I just came out the shower. The vibes remain the same, all love. Dj Laz went out with a bang and brought Dj Irie, DJ Zog, and even back up dancers. You know the breakers weelre still doing their thang in the middle while people skated to old school jams. I'll take this place and all the wonderful memories with me. Thank you for giving me back one lastnight of my childhood.

They have specials during the whole week and they include skate rentals, plus you are welcomed to bring your own skates. Mon- adult night Wed- group lessons Fri- cheap skates & fun Friday Sat- tiny tots, matinee & super Saturday Sun- matinee & family night Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays you can book parties. There's a small arcade area. We will be back though. It's not far for us and the kids enjoy it.

Public Skate had already been going for a bit when I got here and the rink was definitely overdue for a polishing, that said it didn't really impede my ability to skate. The food looked terrible, except the mini donuts and mini churro bites, I didn't try them this time but might next time. There's an instant coffee machine that also looks pretty bad, I wouldn't risk it. Renting skates was relatively effortless, they just asked me if I needed skates when paying admission and then gave me a ticket. Some questions I had: * Should you bring a coat, hat, gloves? If you're wondering then probably yes. I warmed up eventually so if you're not wondering you'll probably be fine with a comfortable sweater. * Are there lockers? Yes! They take 4 quarters, and they have a dollar conversion machine nearby, so bring at least one single dollar; I'd recommend two because they're single use and I forgot a bunch of stuff the first time I closed mine. * Do people actually go here? Yeah! It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, just shy of what I would consider "crowded" but definitely hopping. Galaxy skate had a whole system in place, with payment to picking skates to people helping in the skate rink. Fun lights and definitely temperature controlled so it was cool inside. This is a big plus since you work up a sweat sometimes going fast. Entrance feels not the happiest and a little unwelcoming - would suggest the front security person and register person have a little training in customer service and a smile. Its OK to be tough and be kind. The 1st encounter should always feel welcoming. Price was very clear online so what i expected to pay was accurate. And the skates and tables were nicely spread out. Food spread to another area as well. Lots of tables to hang and eat and talk. We skated for an hour + enjoyed the music. Thanks for an easy activity for kids and adults.
