Great skate school! Took my 4 year old for private lessons after he kept asking to go skateboarding with me over and over. I wanted to give him the gift of a good foundation so he could continue his interest safely since I don't know where to begin. After the first lesson he was learning tail taps and proper entry and exit of the board and stabilization. By lesson two he understood the concept of shifting the weight from toes to heels to turn and by lesson 3 he kicked his board without touching an instructor!! So many more skills to learn but it's so rewarding to see their brains unlock a new understanding of physics and how things move and work. I'm looking forward to watching my son develop in 2024. My 9-year-old daughter had her first lesson with JT yesterday, and I am going to be honest, it was amazing. She is a very cautious child by nature, but he had her on a ramp really quickly. When he told her, she was like, "nope, not going to do that", and I didn't think it would happen either. But he was able to get her confidence up, as well as her trust in him. JT is great. He was very responsive prior to the lesson, and gave very detailed information. He is very professional, great with my daughter, and she had a fantastic time. Our son wanted to start skating so we asked around and were told this was the place to go. We were not disappointed. JT took the time to get to know our son, his strengths and weaknesses, and really got him going.
