Lobster Tail fried and jerk chicken Mac
    Misty S.

Came here at about 7pm after work on a Thursday Was so excited to try the food after seeing it online There were about 4 cars ahead of us And they do go in order I ordered two plates of the lobster tail and Mac ($25) Opted for the jerk chicken Mac (you can choose any Mac) And a side of seafood fried rice ($7) .. totaled $63 and I tipped as a courtesy We chilled in the sitting area of the food truck while we waited The food came out about 40 mins later but was worth the wait (again there were orders ahead of ours) Food was very fresh and so delicious The lobster was seasoned really well and not oily The lobster came with a remoulade dipping sauce The jerk chicken Mac did not skimp on the jerk chicken My husband loved it I thought it was a lot of chicken more than Mac but I'd try the seafood Mac or plain next time Seafood rice was good as well Overall I'd be back for some more lobster and Mac

Seafood rice with a little kick in terms of spice

My coworker told me to check out Miami Spice and I am glad I did. Restaurant food on a food truck. The food is made to order, so I called my order in. If you don't call in it takes maybe 15 minutes. The customer service is outstanding. A young lady took my order on the phone and was really patient with all of my questions. When I got there she greeted me. This is a family owned business. The people working the truck are friendly and professional. Now to the food. I ordered the fried catfish plate with 2 sides. Catfish was nicely seasoned. With the plate I got asparagus and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. I also ordered a side of the seafood rice which had a nice kick to it. I thought the food was good. I would definitely eat here again. I highly recommend.

Awesome new Katy, food truck find!! Delicious, hot, and perfectly made to order. Not to mention Dashandra was the best waitress who came over to the car to take my order. She was super sweet and answered all my questions for a 1st timer. I have to double tip on my next visit (totally forgot). You don't even have to get out your car, she will come right over with a paper menu to keep and take your order when your ready. The portions were great and we'll work the $12.99. I'll definitely be back.

Called my order in 15 minutes before closing - everything fresh and full of flavor. Also, the individual who answers the phone was super polite!

Wowwwww!!! Their catfish is amazing!! I reheated their seafood Mac (pictured) the following day and it's by far one of the best tasting Mac I've had in my entire life lol I will for sure attempt to try everything on their menu!

Completely satisfied!! My catfish was cooked to perfection and my fries were seasoned perfectly. I look forward to returning and trying the Mac and cheese and oxtails!!

Found this food truck on a support " black owned" business page , and I couldn't be happier. The waitress walks to your car with a mask and a disposable menu for you to keep. Today I purchased the fried shrimp with rice and peas and a side of corn ! Who knew corn could be seasoned so well! The portion of the rice was So huge I still had food left over( but I'm not complaining) the shrimp wasn't your average corn meal battered shrimp, the flavoring was like nothing I've tasted. The chefs took their time. I found my new spot. S.N I learned the food is made to order so expect Freshness and a little wait if there's a line ( luckily for me I was in and out . Definitely going back , and trying their catering services SOON. If you're in the Katy area check them out I promise you will find your menu favorite dish ! I DID

    Jerk Chicken with rice.

Came here promptly at 4 for their Oxtail I had seen on Tik Tok. They said it's only sold on Saturday's, so I had to go. Am I glad I did. This was the most tender, flavorful oxtail I've ever had. Topped and mixed in to their Mac and Cheese, the flavors combined was out of this world. Tried their jerk chicken as well (super moist, great spice to it, can be a little much if you aren't expecting it). All in all, I'd come back just for that oxtail. I've got to try the combo plate with the seafood next time, I heard that got great reviews!

Wow! When you eat fried food you generally expect to need a dipping sauce to enjoy anything. Not here! There is so much flavor packed into the batter and on the shrimp and catfish it is ridiculous. I also don't think I have ever said, "man, that was some juicy catfish". Well, that changed today. The catfish was perfect and tasted very fresh. The jerk Mac and cheese is a must. It's like no Mac and cheese I've ever had, so much flavor and crazy juicy chicken. The staff was very welcoming and made you feel like family. I will, with out a doubt, be going back! I wouldn't be surprised if Miami Spice starts selling out within hours of opening. Keep it up!!

I tried the lobster tail and cheesy Mac & cheese. Both were amazing. I loved the sauce the lobster tail was in (I need that recipe) The server and the cook were very nice and welcoming. I will definitely come back for more.

Food is amazing. Always fresh, hot, and flavorful. You get nice portions for the cost. The sauce is amazing as well. Definitely has been my go to. Try this place and you will not be disappointed. The spinach is so good and flavorful. The jerk chicken is bad to the bone.

They've built a loyal and local following by making comfort food the centerpiece of their many talents (#2). When the food is as tasty as the customer service is friendly, it's hard not to love all they to offer. The shop is so small that seating is non-existent, (#3) thus it's strictly a takeout and delivery establishment. Their display case of hot foods changes throughout the day, depending on availability. Anything after the late afternoon is a huge gamble, so when in doubt, call ahead of time to confirm whether an item is available. I love to pop in just to get a good visual of my choices -- and I've always managed to walk out with something delicious. Of all the items I've tried, there have been standouts across the board. The oxtail, stewed chicken with gravy, smothered rib tips, meat loaf, and their über famous honey glazed wings and meatballs are fabulous. Their sides of dressing, sweet candied yams, mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes make for a perfectly complete meal. Even the cornbread is outstanding, which is really saying something. I'd be remiss not to mention their incredibly underrated desserts. The peach cobbler is fire, pound cake and banana pudding are excellent, and their triple layered German-chocolate cake floored me. It was decadent, a tinge savory, and extremely addicting. The fact they offer catering for every item mentioned above means my future potlucks are going to be next level. When they're ready to open another location in a different part of town, I can only hope it'll be closer to me. Otherwise, it's off to West Oaks when I'm craving a food-coma-worthy treat. ____________ (#1) Except Monday. They're closed. (#2) They are influencers in their community, authors of their own books, own a foundation and also run a 24/7 radio station. Yes, really. A small one crawling on the wall near our table and someone from my party saw a larger one crawling near the kitchen. And boy was it stuffy in there. I asked our waitress if she could move a floor fan near for some relief and to detour the gnats, she said she go ask but she never came back and when she did she completely forgot my request. We weren't seated in the greater eating area where it was cooler and maybe where the gnats were less of a bother. The food was delicious and homemade, you can tell it was made with high quality ingredients and that Southern skill that you can only get from helping Grandma in the kitchen. BUT the roaches made us lose our appetite. Such a shame. It seemed like the building went down. They don't seem to put as much effort into the condition of that place as they do the food. Dusty ceiling fans and crummy floors. I appreciate the homey vibe but it looked really junky, more stuff piled in unoccupied corners as before. I gave a lot of things the side eye, I mean it there has to be maintained asthetic. They charged an 18% gratuity on my tab for a party of 8 but I arrived with 4 people, the other 4 had already been there, paid and was almost done with their meal. Then of course the cashier/waitress still mentioned an additional, optional tip. I didn't think that was fair. At the end of it all she wasn't the best waitress.
