I'd been having difficulty finding a good local Porsche certified shop. I resorted to checking Costco's recommended places and fortunately, MQ Auto Repair popped up. I think I found my new Porsche place even if it's an hour drive. Very meticulous, knowledgeable and professional. Very clean bathroom and waiting area was nice and even provided munchies, coffee, cold sodas and water, gratis. They've been doing this for a while and are doing things right (as you'll see from the many awards they've won over the years). Did a great job with my annual maintenance, mostly consisting of changing oil and checking electronics, sensors on Tire Pressure Sensors (which were off) which they filled tires, reset sensors (no additional charge) and everything else was good to go. Alerted me to substantial tire wear without trying to push tire purchase on me as they would many other places. Prices very reasonable and without a doubt a long way from Dealership prices or some of these HOIDY TOIDY shops, (no names of course). Thanks for your GREAT SERVICE (hard to find these days). After being misled and overcharged at South Dade Range Rover and 71st AUTO, I finally ventured onto the Costco website and decided to give their list of approved auto shops a try. The closest one to me, was Miami's quality auto repair, which was an hours' drive away. I have to tell you that it was worth the drive. From the moment I walked in, I received professional service that started with a brief summary of what they were going to do to my car to assess the problem, while I filled out paperwork. Their nice waiting room had refreshments and snacks with clean chairs. They informed me they were going to do an inspection, how much it was, and once I approved the repair quote they would immediately get started on it. 30 minutes later, they were able to tell me what the problem was in a detailed report with pictures and video that was emailed to me. I really do appreciate the timely professional service and the transparency when it came to how much it was going to be to fix my car. They also provided a free loaner car. It was not pretty, but it handled like a dream and purred like a kitten on the palmetto expressway. thank you so much to Andre and Carlos and their team of mechanics. Had to find a mechanic in the area because I was just about to set out on a 6000 mile road trip across the country I called multiple shops who all told me they couldn't get me in for another week, except for here! They got me an appointment day of When I arrived I was offered complimentary waters, sodas, chips, granola bars, and a bunch of other snacks Everyone I spoke to was really nice, helpful, and honest. I came mostly for an oil change (was about $75) But they gave my car a whole inspection for no cost and found my front two tires were wearing down. They brought me in and showed me exactly what was wrong Told me it was necessary at all to get it today and that the tires probably had another 3-4K miles on them But because of the road trip coming up I asked them to replace it that day which came to around another $300 for two tires I definitely will be returning here! read more

I wish I was writing a positive review because everything up to the point where it all fell apart was fine. The shop works with warranties which is why I went to the shop in the 1st place, They were able to work things out with my warranty in order to get my car fixed but when it comes time to pay I I have to pay a "handling" fee because the part was shipped to them instead of chosen by the shop. Needless to say it's a money grab of 150$. When I was "informed" to this charge it was not made clear. Even after I stated that the only charge I wanted to pay was the deductible. Even so the shop did not want to work with me because of this. So I swallowed the loss in extremely difficult financial times and all I can do is write this review. I work down the street from here and getting my car repairs/maintenance done has never been easier! I can literally drop my car off before work and pick it up after work. They always offer me a ride if I need it, they text me a car inspection report with what needs attention now and what can wait (which is great if you're on a budget and just can't fix everything right away) and they always give my car a quick cleaning before giving it back which is an extra nice touch! The owner and staff are great. Dropping off/picking up is fast and easy and I never struggle to figure out where to park or wait for someone to assist me. Going to this mechanic shop is a joy. Yes, you read that right. In Miami, good customer service is rare. Excellent customer service is non-existent. But, somehow, Miami's Quality Auto provides SUPERIOR service. A coworker recommended the shop to me after I'd had a series of unfortunate events at the dealer. That was five years ago, and a car ago, and I haven't looked back since. The shop is family-owned and -run. They're communicative, honest, fair-priced, and well-oiled. I trust their opinion implicitly, because they never give me any cause to doubt them. From standard oil changes and filter replacement, to new tires, to engine maintenance and new shocks and struts...they've helped me with it all, with good communication and courtesy. I bought a used car on what I thought was a good deal, but it needed a lot of work; they made it run like new--so the car was truly a good deal! One of the many excellent things about MQA is the shuttle service. They take all day to service vehicles, even for routine service, but they'll take you home or to your office upon drop-off, and then pick you up when the work is done. For free. Also excellent is the digital inspection reports, sent via text and email. You know exactly why the mechanic is making the recommended repairs. The photos of your car's innards show you what your mechanic sees. Again: this place is ASTOUNDINGLY transparent. What a rarity in Miami! Last great thing (that I'll mention here) is the Car Care Club. It's a great money-saver, no question. It pays for itself in oil changes, plus it offers shins on all kinds of other inevitable services. Cars are expensive. You have to maintain them. I went to the shop when the A/C in my out-of-warranty Audi suddenly failed. I was attracted by a convenient location, the representation that they had an Audi-trained mechanic, and an advertisement offering loaner cars during service. The car was kept two days, no loaner, and I was charged $416.36 for diagnostic A/C testing, only to be told they could not locate the problem. I was told to bring the car back in a week for further inspection. A week later, after a 5-minute inspection, I was told a had a failed valve that was a custom Audi part, but that it was unavailable, and would cost an additional $1400 to replace when the part was located. I contacted my Audi dealer, told that was a crazy diagnosis and to bring the car to the dealer. The Audi service department detected a leak in the condenser and repaired it for free -- the dealer said that accounted for more the 95% of A/C failures and was the subject of an extended Audi warranty. I contacted the shop and was told that the diagnostic testing did not include the condenser because it was difficult to see (!). I said that I certainly would not have paid for an incomplete diagnostic that did not include the part most likely to fail. The manager told me that would offer to refund part of the service charge and I would receive an offer the next day. Of course, I did not and they either do not pick up or immediately hang up the phone when I call. read more

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this place is just ridiculous. Their staff is nice and all, but overpriced for absolutely no reason. They wanted to charge me $386 to fix a window regulator. The funny part was that they put that the price for the part was $193.73. When I was able to buy the same exact piece my car comes with for $80 (including shipping) LOL. And they were able to fix my regulator at another shop in 30 mins for $90. Three months later and our repairs are going strong. We brought our car in to get self-installed power locks fixed. They were able to take care of the repair in a couple days for a reasonable price. The only minor dings were from pricing confusion (labor vs. parts) and that, upon return of a car, a small rubber piece from the rear view mirror adjust was "missing." I will never be returning to this business. I also will not be referring any of my friends here. My car battery died and would not charge, so I had my car towed to Miami's Quality Auto Repair because they were a certified vendor by USAA. They looked at my car and decided it needed a new battery, which I figured was the case. They replaced it and then needed to "run another test" to make sure it worked. I thought this was probably a waste of money, but I wanted the job done right. Their prices are certainly above average on the expensive side. Then, they ran a "complimentary inspection" of my vehicle where they found a number of other repairs and quoted ridiculous prices once again. They found an issue with my A/C compressor, which I had NEVER had issues with before. They charged by $60 to diagnose, then said it needed to be replaced. Looking at their prices, I said "no thank you" and took my car to the dealership where I have an extended warranty. It turned out that the wiring on the compressor had failed most likely due to poor workmanship while putting in the battery i.e. accidentally grounding out one of the wires. My warranty covered the otherwise $1200 repair, which Miami's Quality Auto Repair quoted me to fix the problem that they created. Replacing a battery is a simple repair and should not necessitate a repair to another part because of poor workmanship. I never felt like I could trust the staff at Miami's Quality Auto Repair, and I am glad that I took my car before they could overcharge me and mess up anything else. Women out there - have you ever decided to dye/cut your own hair and ended up with a catastrophe then run to your trusted hair salon to fix it!!! Well, this is exactly what happened when I took my car to Miami's Quality Auto Repair - except, I had no idea who they were..EEEK... Let me tell you story.. I have a Nissan Murano - last weekend, after a large birthday party, I lost the keys to my car. There were 6 people looking for them with no luck. Finally I had to call my trusted AAA to help me. They sent over a AAA certified locksmith ASAP which worked on making the key for a bit over an hour. This cost me $100 after the AAA discount. As you can imagine, I was NOT a happy birthday girl but eh - things happen. This past Saturday evening, I found my lovely car keys!!! Where? you ask? In the back yard! How? Who? Why? When? I have these questions but will not find the answers... anyway, I digress. On Monday morning as I entered my car to go to work, I insert my original keys recently found into the ignition and the car would not start.. tried jumping it, even though it was obvious it was not a battery problem - everything turned on, lights worked - it simply sounded as if the car did not want to turn on - not that it could not. I again called my trusted AAA - I only have 5 miles tow package paid for and being I just had a large party and spent extra on a new key, I did not want to spend more than I had to so I chose a AAA certified Mechanic which was in the 5 mile area - with great reluctance. WOW was I pleased. Andres called to inform me everything mechanical was in working order but the car was giving off Anti-theft codes. They would need to diagnose the car manually to see if there was faulty wiring or what triggered it, which would cost me over $200 - THEN fix it. I still did not think of the key fiasco. I reluctantly approved the diagnostics after asking question after question and hung up the phone feeling defeated and confused - anti theft? What???? I had no idea my car even had that feature. About 30 minutes later and some googling - it HIT me!! I PUT IN THE ORIGINAL KEY AFTER THE NEW KEY WAS PROGRAMMED!! I activated the anti-theft fail safe! I did this to myself! UGH! After beating myself up sufficiently, I called Andres and explained. He asked me to bring in the new key I had made and stopped work on my car - did not intend to charge me not even a dollar for the work already done, even though I intended to give them something for their time. I drove over there with a borrowed car, we tried the new key but still it did not work. The programming was scrambled and would need to be fixed. I left them the key and he called me 2 hours later - ALL FIXED :) The bill came out to be under what they quoted me just for the diagnostics and even though it was money I did not want to spend, was pleased with the outcome. I received a bunch of discount coupons from them, a thorough check of the car and maintenance issues, no charge, and an email with more coupons. They were very nice, even cleaned out the car a bit. Left everything as it was. I was QUITE pleased. When I went to the very clean office, they even had snacks and coffee/water for the people who were waiting - excellent! I will DEFINITELY be going back to Miami's Quality Auto Repair in the future - hopefully though not for some goofball thing I did to my own car. Lesson learned! read more

I think the customer service and speed of repairs/inspection is second to none. However, the prices are by no means the lowest in town. After an engine inspection it was determined needed an engine repair on the AC compressor. The cost of the repair was between $1600 and $1800 (parts and labor before tax) depending on the quality of the replacement part. Additionally I needed a window motor replacement which was quoted at $500 (p&l before tax). Afterwards, I took the car to the local kia dealership and had the engine repair and window repair for less than $1,000 (parts, labor, and taxes). I'm not sure why there was such a markup but i did not expect the dealership to be so significantly cheaper. oveall, great customer service but the prices seem to be an extreme markup in my case. I would call around to get price shop between dealership and repair shops. read more

They will diagnose your car for free, inspect it for free, and offer you a free loaner/shuttle service. You can't beat it!!! I also highly recommend this establishment for anyone whose looking to buy a used car - they will diagnose it for free, and doing this before buying a used car is the smartest decision one can make. Bottom Line: If you are about to buy a used car, visit this shop before closing the deal. If you have a new car, visit this shop to get the best service and most cost-effective repair strategy. Staff are very professional and very helpful, from desk to their mechanics people. I found them tru a search by google, had great reviews. My ac broke, I see they have a free quotes. I took my car and left there. Mechanic or technician call back in a couple of hour to do an inspection to see what's wrong with my ac and is $140....this why I give 3 stars, from free to that and I end up paying $660 with 2 years guarantee. I found out tru other places later, that charge would of be with others no more than $300 with a 2 year guarantee. So if you have the money to be waste this it the place. Have to say after servicing our vehicles with Fernando and Andres have always appreciated the customer service and their teams service level. We have an SUV battery would not start, so we decided to give them a call for a quotation for a battery change. (Pretty straight forward request one would believe). I was told the amount that battery changes start at by the receptionist, however our SUV being a European, I know this would be a bit more costly then the starting at pricing. When I inquired for my specific vehicle (which they found in their system), I was placed on hold and then a manager came on the phone and explained they would need to see my vehicle in order to provide an estimate. I explained that was not possible, as the battery is dead and once we have an estimate we could arrange for a tow. They explained their are several types of batteries for my SUV and they would not be able to confirm which battery is required. I then offered my VIN (which they should have as they have previously worked on my car) in order to check the specs of my SUV and confirm the necessary parts. (I'm not a mechanic, however I believe this is a key identifier for parts). They let me know it would not be possible to find my battery information with my VIN (odd). They let me know there were different options for my SUV and they couldn't tell by the VIN that they would need to see the battery #'s. I offered to go to my SUV and read off any #'s they needed and was told they would need to have the SUV there to read the #'s.... When asked to provide pricing options for the different battery options for my SUV, they let me know it would not be possible. I just wanted a price range for the different options, was not going to hold them to the lowest option, just wanted to know upfront cost before I ordered a tow. This Garage was one of the best in terms of customer service level and mechanical work. They would offer to drive you to and from your home while they completed the work on your car. It was a simple request for a quotation for a battery change. Will no longer be a customer, nor can I recommend this establishment. read more

Pros and Cons: Pros: (1) Best customer service I've experienced in auto repair. They explain things accurately and in a way I can understand. They are very caring. (2) Attention to detail and complimentary service. They vaccumed my carpets. I always like that. (3) Knowledgeable and thorough. They noticed things others did not. Cons: (1) Expensive. They charge almost twice as much as other repair shops. (2) They provide a folder with some brochures and pamphlets with information on deals, about themselves, and other things, almost as if one were joining a club. This seems like an unnecessary element in an auto repair shop. Perhaps this is why it is so expensive. Miami's Quality Auto is THE BEST! They truly care about their customers and are proud to provide you with the best service possible, and it totally shows. My alternator and battery died and when I had AAA send me a tow truck they suggested that I go to QAR. I took their advice and could not have been more satisfied. The car trouble was just the last straw on top of an already terrible day, and contrary to most auto repair shops, QAR was actually the one place that made my day better. When I went in, the receptionist, Jay, was immediately kind to me and made me feel welcome and comfortable. They invited you to get some free coffee or a snack while they check out your car, and since I don't know a whole lot about auto stuff, it was great to feel welcome instead of intimidated. Andres, who oversaw my car repair, was equally friendly and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car and what the solution was, rather than treating me like a stupid girl who can't drive (which is what the tow truck driver did). He even gave me a ride home afterwards because my phone was dead so I couldn't call a friend, and I felt 100% comfortable riding with him, which is a big thing in my opinion. They had the car fixed in under 24 hours and for a reasonable price. Just two weeks later, my passenger window came detached from whatever holds it up inside the door and fell down into my door panel. After my first experience I already completely trusted QAR, so I called them and explained the situation and was able to drop it off right away. They looked at it within a few hours and called me back to explain the situation. Andres told me exactly what had happened and the two options I had to fix it, and when I asked if the more expensive one was really necessary, he said no. I put in the order for the cheaper option (rebonding my window to the door), and again they had it ready for me in less than 24 hours. And again, they were extremely nice and informational the entire time -- and being able to grab some free Doritos and a water bottle on your way out doesn't hurt! Finally, to top it off, they have a great referral program. Every time you get a service they give you a postcard for a free check-up that you can give to a friend. It includes an oil change, tire rotation, all this other stuff that's worth $87 total, and when your friend goes in to get this service for free, you get the same service for free too. So now I have two friends planning to go in! Like I said, I couldn't have been happier. It feels great to be 100% comfortable calling my auto repair place and know that they'll speak to me by name and tell me the real deal. Even my dad is really glad to know that I have a competent and honest auto repair place that he and I both feel like we can trust while I'm in Miami for school. I wish I could give it six stars! I have had auto repairs done over a number of years in Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. Never have I experienced the quality of technical service and customer/client interaction as I have just had at Miami's Quality Auto Repair. First they perform free diagnoses, then they tell you what they found, how much it will cost to fix and how long it will take. - all without pressure. They completed several procedures in less time than expected - all is well. Compared with other places where I have had wok done, their prices are amazingly low. PLUS, everyone is very pleasant and the work area is amazingly clean. I saw all sorts of cars - high end, low end, new and older and all clients seemed very pleased.
