The shop quoted me on the phone about $540.00 to change the transmission fluid with the filter and labor. This is in line with another shop where I asked for an estimate, so I took it in. When I got the car back, I was happy because the transmission hard gear change was gone and was due to lack of fluid. However, after I got home and looked at the receipt, they charged me $540 00 just for the fluid, which is price gouging. I could have done a complete filter plus fluid change plus labor for that price. I called and was flatly told that was the price. Good for you. You lost a good customer. read more

I drove my 2001 540i Sedan, 8-cylinder, manual transmission, to this shop May 9, 2022, because it specializes in repairing BMWs and is conveniently located. (I had seen the shop in my neighborhood for many, many years). On May 13, 2022, shop reviewed the findings of the diagnostic and recommended repairs with me. On May 20, 2022, I was happy that my vehicle was repaired even though the cost was almost $150 above the original estimate. The cost totaled $1720+ (parts & labor but nothing major). No engine or transmission work was performed. Drove to work for 5 days, totaling about 80 miles, then the car overheated a few blocks from home. Paid $100 to have the car towed back to the shop just about 5 short blocks away. Owner, Mike, recommended replacing the water pump. I provided the new part (still in its box) and paid almost $700 for the installation. Drove trouble free for about 14 days before the car broke down again (June 2022). After another $100 tow back to my neighbor, I took it home instead of to the shop. I was extremely disappointed and felt abandoned and dismissed by Mike and his team. When I went in person regarding the most recent breakdown, neither Felipe or Mike, encouraged me to bring the car back to the shop. After spending about $2500, at the end of my encounter with Mike's Beemer Shop, my car was inoperative! Eventually had it repaired in Tamarac, FL. Going 41 miles one-way for reliable car maintenance has been worth my peace of mind! read more

Mike the owner was in the lobby when I got there, didn't even know it was him. Humble guy blended in and didn't make a effort to stand out. The only place I go when i'm in Miami. Everything is handled digitally just like at BMW, they even give you an inspection report like the dealer. Far more efficient than the dealer as well. Definitely not cheap though. read more

Wow after my wonderful review below, I just called to ask what I could do about a nail in my tire and to remind him of what he explained to me the last time we spoke and he had the worst attitude. One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when someone says they're going to do something but then says "I never said that"/sorry for the miscommunication" and leaves it at that, which doesn't fix anything. So I made up what you told me? ... Right ... The second one is ATTITUDE & TONE... tone in your voice is everything. I understand everyone goes through things and has bad days (such as myself -TODAY with lack of sleep) but that's EVERY one. if I spoke the way he did to our clients where I'm employed at, they wouldn't want me there. I really thought he was a cool guy until he rushed to hang up the phone and didn't even schedule my next appointment, which I also asked for. I'll find somewhere else to go. When you hit half a century it's time to treat yourself. From the first time I saw one, new on the street, I wanted one. 20 years later, I still wanted one. And a birthday is as good of an excuse as one needs to splurge. However, with taking ownership of an almost antique vehicle, there will be repairs. So, I looked around and first took it to the dealership oh so close to me. They were nice. Their prices were anything but. I Yelped around and decided to give Mike's Beemer Shop a call. Explained what I was told the car needed done. They called back within the hour with a rough quote of less than 1/2 of what the Dealership estimated. So, off to Mike's I went. They were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. Friendly and explained exactly how they do business. I dropped off my keys and waited for the call. When they contacted me, the price didn't differ from the estimate. After they were done with the repairs, the cost still hadn't budged. Show's they have a very good understanding of the cars they work on. On a side note. I received an error light shortly after I drove home. Contacted them and was told to bring it back in to have a look. They came out and started looking at the issue immediately. It turns out a sensor was misaligned. They got that correctly and off I went. No hassles or questions. Things have been rock solid ever since. Looks like I have found a good home for repairs for my Mid-Life Crisis Mobile. read more

I took my E90 for having a "no start", had my car over for 20 days for them to tell me the ECU needed to be replaced for having no communication a 2.7k job. I decided to ask for a 2nd opinion. Yet, they charged me $800 just to diagnosed that alone. Sent my ECU to SIA electronics in IL, who charged me $89 to tell me my ECU is perfectly fine. read more

I've had a BMW for a long time. It's a great car and still drives beautifully. I've been fortunate to have two sublime and trustworthy BMW mechanic shops: one in the LA area in CA and Mike's, and I've lived in other cities in between and didn't have anyone like these guys. The guys that work there know everything about these cars and drive BMWs themselves. Go to these guys to get prices that are roughly 40% of dealer prices, and you can always expect excellent service and straightforward analysis without any upselling, literally nothing, just straight up they get the job done. If you still buy into dealer stuff, forget it. This is your shop. They go beyond. A+ customer service. My next car, if I feel the need, will probably be another Beemer because a great mechanic is like a great barber. You find them and you're good, you're sorted out. I needed a nearby place to service our daughter's mini. This place was highly recommended by yelp. I was hesitant at first because I've always taken our cars to the dealership. They provided excellent service! You come in and leave your car between 7:30 to 8:30. This gives them time to find a part for your car in case they don't have it in the facility. It was ready by noon. You need an appointment ahead of time for routine servicing. While I was there, I overhead people bringing them cars that had broken down, though. So, I'm guessing you don't need an appointment if that occurs. I paid around $99 for an old change- it's a mini and needs a special oil. The staff was extremely nice and professional, and I like that they have a system. They are very busy and the customers, by the way they were greeted, seemed regulars. Well, I hope to be one more regular customer. I highly recommend! read more

Carlos was professional, attentive and concerned with my issues. Analysis, options and recommendations were offered within hours of dropping off the car. He maintained phone contact with me throughout the repair process. At the time of pick up, Carlos showed me the part responsible for the problem. We tested the car together. How unfortunate! As soon as the warranty is over, is when all the problems begin. WTF? Do these cars have a timer and after 5yrs it starts to sabotage the car.... Just in case it does and if you own a BMW take it to Mikes BMW Service in SoMia. Carlos CSR Mgr is nice, professional and on time with the work they promise. This week, I needed to get my head light fixed. At first, i thought i would go to Braman as going to an official dealership seemed to be the right thing to do. I got there and asked for an estimate. They told me it would be around $250. This seemed a little excessive so started looking for an alternative. I checked Yelp and saw good reviews of Mike's BMW Service. I called and Carlos attended me in a very cordial was and was extremely helpful. When I got there my car was taken care of immediately, I was offered the option to wait while they were fixing my car using the office's wireless. Trustworthy and reliable which are two traits that are hard to find when it comes to a mechanic shop. Although I do not have my BMW anymore I took it here on several occasions and their diagnosis were always spot on and their pricing is very fair. My car was always ready exactly when promised. One time I took my car in because it would not start and they did a full diagnosis and told me nothing was wrong with it and determined something was wrong with my key. At any BMW dealer they charge you $200+ just to diagnose so I was cringing at the thought of my bill. To my pleasant surprise they charged me nothing. I was so happy about that and only wish they fixed other cars besides BMW so I could continue going to them with my new car. If I do purchase another BMW I will definitely be back. read more

These guys are awesome. The best BMW indy shop in south florida. My family has been going to mikes for over 6 years. Their prices are also a lot more reasonable then most indy shops in miami (pro-tip: almost all of the indy shops in miami EXCEPT for mikes charge almost the same as the dealer). MIKES honesty is legendary. Also, If you bring your own parts its cool, not like other indy shops which wont touch your car. Simply put: if my bmw was a baby, mike would be the godfather, and the baptism would be done at mike's shop. read more
