Chicken fingers and burnt onion rings, chicken wings, nachos and Pierogies
    Chakakhan Nikki L.

So August 13, 2023 was my cousin birthday and we decided to go to MicGinny's on the River for the free wings and other food. So we ordered our food and when it came my onions rings were burnt. I'm like why won't the waitress serve food they will eat. When I told her, excuse me ma'am my onion rings way to cooked. They burnt. I cant eat these. She looked at me and said yea and left the table. I'm thinking she going to get me more onion rings. Nope. I didnt wanna make a scene about it cause it was my cousin birthday but that wasnt fair to me i had to pay for three chicken fingers and some burnt onion rings i didnt eat. 10 dollars it was. Thats crazy. Then we ask for a to go box to take the nachos we order. Only three nachos was eaten from it. We were goin to go home smoke and eat the nachos and relaxing. The waitress came and took our to go box full of nachos and threw them away. She did it so smooth we didn't even see her take it from the table. Then we asked her did she take our to go nachos and she was like oh it's down stairs. So we decided to follow her cause we like why would she take it? When we got downstairs she turned around to us and said I'll just take it off the bill. Why would you take our nachos and throw them away im still asking? No answer. Im shaking my head cause I wanted them nachos. That was crazy. Wasn't feeling her service. She really wasn't a good waitress. We had to wait for drinks, and refills. We needed napkins and other sauces. She acted really nerves and was forgetting things. It was weird. The wings we had were 10 hot sweet and 10 bourbon molasses and they were so good.

We have enjoyed dining here for countless years! I came in for my birthday on 12/23, as promised to Sal. I always try to send business his way from the University of Rochester Athletics. He's super friendly and great to work with. We enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, Garlic Parmesan Wings and Jimmy the Greek Salad as well. The service was phenomenal and we look forward to returning.

Off the normal routes and an excellent find! Amazing food, attentive service and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend visiting when in the region.

I don't understand why this place isn't more crowded. This bar has everything. Pool. Darts. Cheap drinks.* [What I hear is] Good food. Tons of flatscreens. Tons of room. A nice back patio. Legit leather couches that I would gladly sleep (read: pass out) on. A staff that rocks: the bartenders are sweethearts, and the bouncer is one of the nicest guys around. I know this not only because he kept wanting to talk about sports with us, but also because of how nice he was to some dude who clearly gets plastered there on the regular. When we walked in, I witnessed the following exchange. Lady Bartender: What can I get you? Dude: Baby, you know what I need... *tries to climb over bar* The bouncer came over, pulled him off the bar and assured us Dude was harmless. (We were not concerned.) About an hour later, the bouncer half-heartedly kicked Dude out of the bar. He came back in about 10 minutes afterward, and rocked out to Avril Lavigne (being played entirely too loudly for the number of patrons), Elaine-style, and fell to the floor in slow motion during one of the kicks. The other seven people in the bar pulled out camera phones. I like this place. _________ *$1.50 pounders of Busch and PBR. If you're a fancy boy who's too good for those, you can spring for the $2 pounders of LaBatt Blue.

I'm very forgiving when it comes to a bad experience at a place I go to often. In the last couple of years I've had some really bad experiences where the food is just not good. Last year I door dashed an order that arrived cold. The manager did try to make it right but not without another manager being informed or any kind of log. I had tried the breaded fish. That was mediocre at best. Not memorable. Last night I gave it another chance. I ordered 10 Tullys tenders (because that is the ONLY reason to eat here.,) a potato soup, a peanut butter pie and the monkey strawberry shortcake thing. I got there and waited inside. My food came out, they checked it was right, took a payment and I drive my food 1.5 miles. I got it home and it was barely warm. There is no way my food would cool down that fast in that short amount of time. This isn't the first time I've done this. The chicken was crunchy but lukewarm. The chicken seemed a bit chewy and kind of fatty. Some of them were huge and others were skinny. There was no consistency. The soup was not hot either. There was no cheese or chives on it like I thought there would be. It was kind of water. It just wasn't that good. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't something thought I'd ever want again. I ordered the new strawberry monkey bread shortcake. It came with one little tiny ramekin of strawberries. A huge mound of fried tasteless bread I think and I asked for no ice cream but they forgot the whipped cream. It was 100% awful. It was gross. I'm not going to mince words. The only decent thing was the peanut butter mousse cake which is a sure thing. Three bad experiences in a row is enough to make me decide that I will not be going back.

The majority of the menu is Turkish, and they are using authentic ingredients either imported from Turkey, or from the region. Our food was yummy and very reminiscent of the breakfasts we enjoyed when we were traveling. First, this place is in a strip mall and may not be easy to spot; second it's small, and despite their efforts to jazz up the interior with themed seating areas, it has a very take-out sort of vibe; and third, there are other things on the menu that I'm guessing they offer because of their proximity to RIT, but take my word for it - stick with the Turkish items and you will not be disappointed! Our order included the 'sucuklu yumurta', which is basically eggs with Turkish sausages served in it's own metal pan, plus the bagel plate, and I had the 'tray' (the name of which I cannot remember) which came with hard boiled eggs, fruit, cheese, tea, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and a roll. It was almost exactly the breakfast we had every morning in Turkey, except the fruit we had there was fresh and here it was a kind of preserve. The portions may seem a little small, but prices are very good, and I would definitely recommend getting more things than you think you need just so you can try more and ensure you will leave satisfied. We are looking forward to going back and eating more of the menu!

Now we'll move on to things that were pretty average, The bacon cheddar burger was cooked to request and served with a handful of fries. (We had 2 of these ordered) for the size and cost there could have been more fries or the patty a little thicker The Philly cheese steak, same decent helping of meat on the sandwich and side of rice pilaf The chicken spedie, one skewer of chicken with a few Veggies, some rice , Greek salad and some naan. Would have liked a little more chicken (was cut on the smaller side) / $7 for a second skewer. The chili (not pictured) was served lukewarm with some tortilla chips. The French onion soup was alright, decent amount of onion and bread in crock, but the broth was just lacking something (bland ) It filled in steadily as we were there so this place must be the place to stop in for a pregame beverage and meal. I think it was maybe because I was dining solo, so she was working harder for the larger parties for tips. Disappointing. I ordered French onion soup. It was lacking flavor. Warm, and cheesy, which is important but the broth watery. I also had some garlic buffalo wings. Some of the wings were great, but some were quite rubbery.
