Dr. Arias and her team, were very kind & explained everything in detail about my sons oral motor concerns. She listen to me, asked me about feeding concerns, latch issues & you name it. I didn't know what to expect as we were there to see if my son needed to get his lip and tongue tie reversal, oddly enough it was done that same day. To watch it as a parent was difficult, but hello it needed to be done and she's done it to numerous people. The procedure did take a bit longer but that was due to my son locking his jaw and clamping down on the poor nurses fingers, he at the time was 8.5 weeks old. Post procedure, she goes over the different exercises that she wants you to do with your child to stretch out the lip and the tongue. Then she schedules you for your appointments, a few days after, a week after, week and a half, & then finally the two week. But I really like that she sent me pictures of what my sons mouth looked like before and after. Not only that but she gave me her personal cell phone number and told me to call her if I had any concerns. I didn't call her but she did text message me a few times and we exchanged messages back-and-forth. To me that's an excellent Doctor Who really cares about her patients. Infant patients are allowed to have two companions in office, all other patients (if a minor) are allowed one. If an adult you're on your own.

I went to pick up my retainers and had a disappointing experience. First off, this happened over a month ago, so things may have changed. They have you call from outside to get your temperature checked, and make sure you're wearing a mask prior to entering. There is spacing of lobby chairs to help maintain a safe distance- which is really great during COVID times. What was unfortunate was hearing a patient talking to the staff member at the front desk, whose was wearing her mask under her nose, and complaining about "Dr." Fauci and the fact that COVID deaths were being over-reported for doctors and hospitals to get more money. This went on and on as I looked at others sitting in the waiting room and we all shook our heads. Why have us go through the motions when you won't wear your mask properly and are going to be very vocal about how it's not a real thing? It was highly offensive as I know people who have passed because of COVID and it's highly unprofessional in a doctor's office. I was called to the back and the technician was wonderful. I vented to her and she was clearly unhappy with what they'd been saying. She let me know that she alerted Dr. Dann to this and he was going to address it. I really appreciated her. As I was leaving and passing another desk to pay, the woman at that desk was wearing her mask under her chin. She had it under her chin last time I was in the office too, but I figured I'd caught her at a bad moment, so I didn't think too much of it. Seeing her with it like that again was a bummer. Especially since the dental techs are in full PPE and all patients are wearing masks. I know we've all had to adjust to this time and I know wearing the mask for an extended period of time is not great, but I wear my mask to protect those around me and, in a doctor's office, I expect that same respect and not to have to hear someone's opinion on "*doctor*" Fauci (she said making parenthesis with her fingers). My hygenist, Baja, is wonderful and takes such good care of my teeth. The office is clean, attentive, and actually wants to take care of your teeth instead of just having you shell out for random procedures. They do a great job of answering phones during office hours and they even provide a list of amenities while you're getting your teeth cleaned or worked on so you can be as comfortable as possible. She's a sweetheart even with a cleaning drill in her hand. LOL. I've never been squeamish about the dentist, not as a child in Brooklyn, not as a young adult in NYC or Connecticut. It's been hard to find services and venues in Orlando that a New Yorker takes for granted up north; that said, Dr. Coleman and his team have been excellent these past 11 years. My wife and I are tremendously grateful to him for his warm, thoughtful chair-side manner, his professionalism and expertise.
