We chose Michael Angelo's Bakery because their cakes are delicious, and they are very affordable. Although we sampled cakes at more expensive places, Michael Angelo's Bakery had the best cake in our opinion! It would have been great if they could have delivered our cakes (3-tiered cake and full sheet cake) to our reception venue for an additional fee even though it was far away, but I understand that they did not have the personnel or resources to do that for us. It also would have been nice if they had a cake stand for us to rent like they used to do before customers stopped returning them. However, we do not have any regrets with booking them for our wedding cakes, and we had so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the cake tasted! I guess their cakes are good but their pastry is very disappointing. The cannoli filling was bland, the cinnamon roll dry, the macaroons where ok. Half the items had not been labeled. Plus the store was dirty, crumbs up against the pastry case, pastry cases inside were full of crumbs and the glass needed to be cleaned. read more

What a great bakery! We stopped in on a Saturday morning and waited in line for thirty minutes. Which was ok because it gave us plenty of time to figure out what we wanted to get. They have so much to choose from, their display cases make a horseshoe around the whole store. Your head will spin trying to pick. There's so many great treats to choose from like fresh breads, pizza's, pies, cookies, donuts and strudels. Oh and don't forget their speciality cupcakes with flavors like cannoli, ho ho, cookies n cream just to name a few. They also specialize in custom cakes for any occasion. And then if that's not enough they also have a huge line of flavored coffee from bananas foster to cheesecake and in decaf too. Trust me you could spend hours in this place and it is all worth it. I wish I had known about Michael Angelo's Bakery much, much sooner. This is the most impressive bakery I have been to in CLE. Excellent selection and great quality. They have an enormous selection of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, etc. If you're looking for a dessert to impress, stop at Michael Angelo's. I reached out to order a small baby shower cake for two (virtual shower, so just for mom- and dad-to-be). The woman who answered the phone was aloof and dismissive from the beginning, and she clearly had no interest in providing service. At the beginning she stated that I should start by looking at their website or pictures online, which I had already done. She continued to be dismissive, so in an attempt to be productive, I asked if the pastel rainbow cake could be made with pink and blue icing instead. She said "Ummm, I don't even see that one on our web site..." I then said that the pink drip (on the very same page of the web site) was also cute, but inquired if it could be made with pink and blue icing instead. To this, I received the reply "I mean yeah, we could, but it's not going to be $40, it's going to be like $80." At this, I had had enough of the impatient and unhelpful tone, and replied that we would look elsewhere. I received a half-hearted "Sorry" before the call was disconnected. While I understand that this is a high-end bakery where most individuals looking for an event cake may be willing to pay top dollar, friendly and engaged customer service should be free. I had only reached out to this bakery because Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes is booked with Valentine's Day demand, and figured I'd try this bakery for convenience since it's so close to where I live. I'll be happy to continue to give my business to Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes despite the inconvenience of driving there. A better bakery you won't find anywhere. The lines in the store is a testament to that. It doesn't matter if it's pastry, bakery, pizza or bread, it's all good. Their butter cream frosting is to die for. Prices are reasonable for the quality. However, having to constantly wait for preordered and prepaid items is incredibly frustrating. Instead, they said I would have to come in and pick it up. Get to the store around 7:45 am and there had to be 50 people in line... it was almost outside the door! It's such a treat to go here. It's a lovely bakery full of great smells and sights. There are so many options, I take forever to decide. Presentation is prime at Michael Angelo's. The bakery looks as delicious as it tastes. My husband and I served Michael Angelo's tiramisu parfaits at our wedding. We were sold at first bite. *It is the best tiramisu I've ever had.* They were wonderful to work with for our wedding. We ordered 150 parfaits. Michael Angelo's was helpful and friendly, the parfaits were fresh, and our guests raved. They didn't miss wedding cake one bit. It was awesome. My step-dad stops here almost every week to pick up treats for my grandparents. So I've also tried their cheeesecakes, cookies, and coffee too. Their pumpkin spice coffeee might be the best in Cleveland. I bought some Campfire ground coffee (smores flavor) and the ladies at work loved it. Stop here. Treat yourself. I recently discovered Michael Angelo's despite living near it for years, and I'm mad I didn't know about it until now! The macarons are always so pretty and yummy, although the flavors could be a little stronger. I've gotten a raspberry and cream paczki from here in February, and they were amazing. The cannoli are always fresh, and once, they made me one after running out. I recommend the large ones since the small ones are eaten so quickly. The parfaits are one of my favorite bakery items to get from here! The red velvet is surprisingly rich and everything I ever wanted, and the strawberry cassata parfait isn't too heavy and filled with smooth and creamy custard. The tiramisu has to be one of my favorite parfaits. The cake is soaked in coffee, and it is dusted with cocoa powder with a cookie straw stuck in the middle as decoration. The cookies and cream parfait is also nice, but it mostly just tasted like chocolate and vanilla cake with icing. The cookie flavor didn't come through as much as I wanted it to. I also got my birthday cake from here, and the process was simple. I called a few days in advance and picked it up on the day of. I ordered a fruit torta, and they iced "Happy Birthday" on a piece of fondant for my cake as well! The fruit torta was filled with a variety of fruits, and the cream and cake were both light and airy. On the weekends in the afternoon, there are often long lines, but the employees are always helpful and kind. The wait is worth it! The quality of this bakery is always impressive, and I can't wait to try everything on the menu one day! read more

Their cakes are dry, their buttercream is very over sweetened, the owners don't wear gloves when handling food unless it's for an Instagram picture. They also put out multiple days' old bakery, in addition to treating their employees terribly. Do not patronize this business. read more

Yum! Michael Angelo made my wedding cake and it was delicious! Light, fluffy, and the frosting was just incredible. Delivery was easy, and we were able to rent a cake stand. I was probably a really easy bride, as I opted for a plain white cake and then had my florist decorate the cake with fresh flowers in an ombre pattern. I chose yellow cake with lemon and raspberry mousse for the top 2 layers, and a white cake with raspberry mouse for the bottom layer. Prices were very reasonable. Came here around 3pm and of lot of pastries were gone but that was to be expected for the time we went in close to their closing time. Got a strawberry cassata parfait and boyfriend got the strawberry cassata cheesecake. Strawberry Cassata cake is hands down my favorite type of cake and that parfait most definitely hit the spot for me. The cheesecake was pretty good too and boyfriend liked it. Total for both came up to like $8.50 and that price for two decent sized bakery items is great! Would most certainly come back for any bakery cravings! read more

I love this bakery. Beautiful inside and some very unique pastries. It's clean and they have a very pleasant and helpful staff. I would love to give them 5 stars and more BUT every year I place an order for their strudel and every year it's a long wait in line. I was shocked when I noticed they were trying to find orders in a stack of receipts about 2 inches thick. After the person in front of me waited 10 to 15 minutes without finding her order one of the girls walked over to the laptop and found the order in less than 30 seconds. REALLY! Who does that. If you must use paper you would think they would have a expanding organizer file and keep it alphabetically. I was truly shocked. Lemon Lust Cupcakes. All you will ever need. Michael Angelo's is found on the East side of Broadview Road almost centered between Sprague and Wallings. It's a cute little building that looks like it should have a bakery in it. And what a gem of a bakery - with an amazing variety of baked goods, and and amazing variety of flavors of cakes, cupcakes and cookies, every wall and flat surface has something absolutely delicious on it. I stopped in to buy Cupcakes for a birthday celebration and I was pleasantly shocked at the low price for really big and delicious cupcakes in an assortment of flavors. I highly recommend alternating bites of Lemon Lust and Chocolate Fudge cupcakes. So Good. They have great capacity for event baking, so your wedding cake needs, dessert trays, everything for a small or large event can be done there.
