My niece used to go to school nearby, and a few times after class, we would stop by here. Every visit has been a delight, with a wonderful assortment of desserts and a warm, welcoming staff. As a huge fan of lemon desserts, I love that they always have at least one lemon-themed treat--it's such a joy for me! Their selection is impressive, and their holiday-themed items are especially lovely.

Most practical bakery around. If I have a special occasions my cake is coming from there. I bought my wedding cake from Here 12 years ago. And this year my sister in law got married and they did not disappear

As a military spouse I have been moving around since 2005. Every single time I visit home (Independence) this is the first place go to grab some of my favorites. It breaks my heart to see the quality drastically diminish over the years. Even so, I couldn't break my habit and still return every year. As the prices considerably increased over the last few years, I would still justify it for "fresh quality bakery goods" from a family owned local place. Well, if you take the FRESH and QUALITY out, I will no longer be returning. I could tell the bakery changed for the worse, but I wasn't sure how. After being disappointed once again with some of my favorites, I became curious as to why. There isn't an ingredient list when things are nicely set up behind the counter in a case so how could I really know. Thankfully some of the items are in containers and had an ingredient list. After I read these ingredients I will never return. There are so many preservatives, dyes and thickeners etc etc I might as well buy some cheap packaged garbage that sits on the shelves at the grocery store for half the price. Why do you need multiple dyes? The fresh fruit should be what creates the color....if there is actually enough real fruit in it. Artificial flavors?! BLEACHED flour! Citric acid?!!! Citric acid is a preservative. If making this bakery daily why do you need multiple preservatives? You don't need this if it's meant to be fresh and gone by the end of the day. I could go on. Please read the label for yourself. Even butter is hyphenated with margarine so I bet there's very little butter. It is painfully obvious this family no longer cares about quality. This is such a huge problem nowadays. I really wish we could count on our local family owned spots to do better. It's unfortunate that we can't. You lost me as a customer until you decide to start caring about quality again. We need to start holding our local businesses accountable. Just because it's behind a case doesn't mean it's fresh or good quality anymore. Those days seem to be long gone. Michael Angelo's knows they aren't serving quality anymore and they are deliberately fooling our community. Do better for your community!!!

My husband got me the macaroons for my birthday, and they put them in a regular box and of course several of them got crunched and fell apart. So disappointed in that bakery.

Linda from Michael Angelo's Bakery is the most wonderful person to work with! She helped me design my wedding cake and showed me numerous pictures of what certain ideas looked like to make sure I wasn't surprised at all on my wedding day! I always loved walking in and seeing Linda!! I have received so many compliments on my wedding cake with how classy & elegant it looked and how DELICIOUS it tasted!! I am so happy I booked Michael Angelo's Bakery for such a special occasion! I cannot wait to continue to go there for years to come! Thank you!

The man behind the counter explained what they offered and what exactly was inside every treat I asked about. The place is tucked away into a plaza, and it is absolutely stunning inside. There is a nice area to sit inside with a few tables if you choose to dine in, as well as a larger outdoor patio space to sit at which I really liked and will be perfect in the summer time. Jossi's had a lot more then just bakery as they offered traditional Latin food options such as empanadas as well as some other warm pastries. They also do custom cakes and personalized orders which is really awesome and they seem like a great team of people to work alongside if you are interested! I tried the carrot cake cupcake which was light and delicate, as well as tried the packaged alfajores which were not my favorite but was happy to try them. They also offered specialty coffees and drinks as well as selling their own ground coffee for purchase in a horchata flavor. I do wish they had their prices posted on the large menu just to reference as I found myself having to ask the price of a couple things. Overall, this bake shop is a charming place and reasonably priced and I am glad to have it tucked away into Broadview Heights. I love supporting small businesses and this is definitely one I will find myself back at trying new things (especially the warm pastries next time).

Parma Heights is so far, guys. So so far... So after fangirling over the lush, girly decor and taking ALL the pictures ever, my 5 friends and I ordered at the counter a bougie drink and a plate of food each. There's abundant seating in this two story cafe so we found a table and waited between 5 and 10 minutes for it all to be ready. Despite my goal to stop spending money on beverages, I spent $8 on a regular sized iced decaf carrot cake latte with almond milk. Delicious and definitely instagrammable, but RIP to my money. I regret not taking the lovely glass it was served to me in, but my conscious kicked in and I didn't pilfer it. Haha! For dinner, I originally wanted to get a pizza but changed my mind last minute due to it being 90 degrees outside. So instead, I got an italian panini with a side of potato chips ($14). I don't like mayo so asked that be taken off. The only sauces they have are mayo, hot sauce, and horseradish mayo. I got the horseradish mayo on the side, but didn't really use it. I hope they can add mustard and ketchup to their sauce lineup in the future. All in all, I spent about $24. All 6 of us had very instagramable food and drinks. They looked better than they tasted for the most part. I liked my drink and panini but didn't love it, especially for the price. My friends lavender lemon loaf was gorgeous, but sadly dry. I love the look, like the menu, and wish Cafe Blanc wasn't so outrageously far away! I'd love to get brunch here with my gal pals! I wanna get one of their dessert crepes, please and thank you! I am giving Cafe Blanc 4.5 stars out of 5.

We all visited Cafe Blanc for the first time and loved our experience especially the large (free) parking lot. We sat on the 2nd level towards the back. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026
