Not only that, but when I explained what was wrong with my cakes (plural because it's been THREE that have been wrong), the women that were helping me made it seem as if it were my fault. To make this review short: I placed a cake order for my husbands 30th birthday. The first photo with the pink cake is what I referenced when placing the cake order. The second photo is what they originally presented me when I came to pick it up. The 3rd picture is their second attempt at making an ombré black gold and white cake. I have been a long time customer and even ordered my wedding cake here. After the last several items ordered from here being terrible (work wise and tasting), I will be taking my business elsewhere. The workers here agreed it wasn't what I asked for and offered "store credit." Why would I want a store credit when it was your fault? Businesses like this should stand behind their work if it's not what was originally discussed. Furthermore, I had to push to get a measly $10 back for making two trips up to this bakery because of their mistake. The icing on the cake....the girl who helped me the second time told me the colors I requested are "hard to blend." Interestingly enough that wasn't mentioned when I placed my order and you swiped my card. Then proceeded to blame the girl who took my order because she was "new." Absolutely love their cakes and order from them regularly for all birthdays and events. Stopped in today at 4 PM to pick up a cake order. It was very claustrophobic and I'm concerned about covid precautions. They had 12 people in line the whole time I was there, and they have about 15-18 different shelves with displayed inventory in the middle of the store. People were not standing on the six feet apart stickers while in line. The woman in front of me kept getting out of line and looking around at everything in the display cases, etc. the woman behind me was standing about 12 inches behind me. I'm sitting in my car writing this review and just saw 5 more adults enter the store and no one leave. I think they need to minimize their displayed inventory to create space for guests and possibly enforce better distancing strategies. read more

I'm a big big fan of their cakes, macaroons and cupcakes. They are irresistible. I remember buying a dozen macaroons once and finishing them in 10 minutes or so. This bakery is unbelievable! My daughter got their macaroons as wedding favors for her wedding and we went back at Easter to get some goodies and the line wrapped around the entire store!!! From donuts, to their super fabulous cakes, wedding cakes, cookies, coffee, tea, tea cakes, breads....what your eyes see and what you drool over is exactly how you imagine it would taste! Yum is such a understated word here. Very professional, clean, friendly, and closed on Sundays. Six days you work and on the seventh you rest. He is being blessed. He's a bit more costly than your other bakery's out there, but....you get what you pay for. I've purchased several of his tiramisu cakes to bring as gifts and I am a hero every time, it's just loved so much. I was very dissapointed in this bakery. I went to order around 60 cupcakes for a party I'm planning, and received absolutely no help from the staff. I waited in line and eventually left because the workers seemed more concerned with their "regulars". It appears that they only have speciality cupcakes with cream on the inside - something I didn't want. If you want cupcakes without anything inside, it appears that they only carry plain white cupcakes with frosting. Also, the baked goods seemed very overpriced compared to other bakeries in the area. The other pastries looked delicious, however, I wouldn't know how it tastes as I was ignored by the staff. read more

Well, if you aren't going have the product that you primarily sell in the morning ready at opening time, then maybe you should open later? Or start baking earlier? Just a thought. We use to love the bakery and cakes from Michael Angelo's until a few bad birthday cakes ago. The first mistake we just overlooked because of the volume of cakes they create. The second mistake was fatal. Paying a lot for the wrong cake for a child's birthday party is unacceptable. Then they tried fixing the problem with some store bought frosting and a bottom layer cake that didn't taste the same as the top layer. Complaining went on deaf ears. With my daughter getting married soon I talked her into a cake tasting. Yeah, what is wrong with me. Burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame, shame one me. Went there this weekend and got the worst customer service possible. They couldn't of care less about what we wanted. It was pretty much finish the cake and let me know what your plans are. Not the best customer service. They're pretty busy and they know it so you're not very important to them. If you're going to spend a lot of money on a cake, spend it somewhere where they'll actually appreciate your business or at least seem excited to help you plan your special cake. They also charge you for the credit card processing fee for charges over $150. Cool. Oh and you're definitely not anything special if your cake isn't over 3 tiers. That's what I was made to feel. They also sell days-old bakery. They're closed on Sunday's but don't start over on Monday. I've had some parfaits and cupcakes that were very dry. When they're just made though, they are delicious. I definitely don't like waste, but why not sell old items at a discount so at least the customer is aware of it? read more

The cake at our Baby shower tasted delicious. Just we were unhappy with the person who decorated our cake. Was this person experienced and rushing or a beginner learning decorating skills on our cake? The pink butter cream on our cake was not mixed evenly, there were dark red smudges on front of the cake. Was this person's handwriting nice? No. Instead of "It's a girl!", there was "It's AGirl!" Sloppy, very sloppy. This cake decorating person shouldn't work for excellent bakery like MichaelAngelo's and damage their reputation. Michaelangelos bakery is phenomenal! As soon as you walk in you can smell the fresh baked cookies and cakes! They have such cheap sugar cookies with frosting which just happen to be my favorite.. They are absolutely amazing! I'm getting married in the summer and want to do a cake tasting with them! I'm sure they are reasonably priced and extremely good! I've also tried their gourmet cupcakes! My fiancé ordered my birthday cake from this bakery and it was supposed to had been ready at 12, it wasn't. We had to wait for it to be finished on the spot and it wasn't ready until 12:30 which made me late for a something important on my birthday. THEN, my cake was supposed to be black fondant with a gold logo, someone made the cake one side black and the other side white & yellow marble fondant as if they had ran out. The logo wasn't clear or drawn on as it was supposed to have been. The fondant work was terrible. It literally looked thrown on, very patchy & not smooth. This was supposed to be the highlight of my birthday and it was ruined. They had a picture of what was expected and he physically in person stated what he wanted for this small 2-3 person cake. I couldn't take pictures with my cake at all. However, it did taste good hence the 1 star but it looked nothing like the fondant work the post online. We have been a customer before, with great results. Also, we have friends recommend and rave about this bakery. However, after our most recent visit here, we were essentially ignored for 15 minutes while waiting for somebody to assist us. We were hoping to get a custom cake for our daughters birthday, but instead we left feeling insulted, due to the several people served before us while we were waiting. Ordered a wedding cake from them, and it was the wrong cake. Need I really say more?? It wouldn't have been so bad had I not been refused a refund. Instead the owner would only offer a 40% refund - HIS PROFIT MARGIN. I truly could not believe his gall. Typically when a service or product is contracted, and the wrong product is delivered, the seller will be happy to take responsibility for the mistake and issue a refund if for no other reason in hopes that the customer won't do something like this and publicize to the world how inexplicably inept his business is. NOPE. I eventually suggested he return 70% of the total cost (split the difference) and we call it a day, but no he refused to give anything beyond his profit. Now I get to be reminded of this garbage in a year when my wife and I eat a cake we do not like and did not order. I implore you to take your business elsewhere, unless you don't mind ordering a wedding cake and having them deliver something. read more

Very Disappointed in Michael Angelo's. I called in earlier saying I wanted to place cake order and asked how late they were open . ( they said 5pm ) I arrived at 4:45 . When I got there the girl behind the counter went to find someone to help me. She came back and said that everyone was "busy downstairs" and couldn't help me . She then asked if I could come back Wednesday ( today is Saturday ) . I explained to her how I drove 30 min to get there and that I already knew what I wanted. I didn't need to flip through books or talk about flavors. I literally just had to place my order . I told her it would take all but 2 minutes. She then said she would go back and ask downstairs. This time she returned and said the people who take the orders "left for the day " . Then said again that maybe I can come back Wednesday . First she said they were busy then she said they were gone. I was annoyed at the inconsistency of her story . I believe this was a case of workers not wanting to do their jobs . They want to finish up and rush home. The establishment was still open so they should be ready ,willing and able to serve their customers. Especially since when I called in and stated I will be placing an order nobody ever said to be there by a specific time . I will NOT be returning on Wednesday and they just lost a customer. Their variety of selection is one of the best, from cakes, cookies, cupcakes, bread, and pastries as their main attractions. I have also tried their paczki which was pretty good. No complaints here, but this is probably my 3rd favorite bakery in the area. I'm really not sure how I keep on forgetting to post a review for this DELICIOUS bakery. But I do. I believe that my mom has been ordering cakes for family get togethers for at least the last five years. We had our wedding cake done from here, as well as numerous birthday cakes for our family. Usually, we get a casada cake, which consists of vanilla cake with strawberry and cream filling. Of course when my birthday came along, my mom offered to get me a cake. Yes, I may now be 32, but am an only child, so don't hate! Anyways, this year, my mom decided to surprise me and get me a purse cake, since I had been talking about this amazing silver Coach purse for at least six months on a daily basis. Thankfully, my hubby got me the purse, but my mom decided to be extra thoughtful and get me a purse cake. Being seven months pregnant, I wanted something different for a cake, so I decided to ask for chocolate with the mocha mousse filling. OH MY GOSH WAS IT DELICIOUS! They really went all out on this cake and was really perfect. I will post a picture of this beauty, it was seriously on point and am now excited to use this bakery for more future family get-togethers. I've ordered cakes from here before and they have always been amazing but I must say they exceeded my expectations on my husband's 50th birthday cake. I emailed them a picture to do an edible scanned image and it came out perfectly! I ordered a double half sheet, half chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and half yellow cake with raspberry mousse filling with white buttercream frosting. It was so moist and delicious and not overly sweet at all. Everybody loved it and couldn't stop talking about it. Many people told me about this place and now I do the same whenever anyone asks for a good bakery. People can be negative but let me tell you this is one of the best bakeries around!
