We got takeout of this pizza place to bring back to The Cave entertainment building. For some odd reason, this place's food is the only acceptable option to be brought inside The Cave. It's not bad at all, it's just not exceptional. It's serviceable typical local pizza joint. The inside decor has some sit down tables and seems nice enough. The chicken parm sandwich was good. I didn't like the Sicilian pizza too much. I felt it wasn't crispy enough. Overall, a perfectly ok option in this area if you are craving pizza! read more

I ordered an Italian combo and there was barely any salami on it. Plenty of hand not enough salami.

I order a chicken para sandwich on Tuesday and i got the worst food poison ever. Wednesday i was sick all day. With runs, throwing up, severe pains in my stomach. I am still experiencing the food poison, its horrible. Will never eat there again. I don't know if the guy didn't wash his hands or the chicken was old but i was so sick. read more

The guys in there are always very nice and they sell by the slice which i love! Tried a lot of their different pizzas and they all taste great. Got a philly cheese steak tonight from them and it was delicious. Definitely my go to spot! read more

Bland tasting pizza. There's nothing added to make it memorable... needs seasoning ie. oregano, salt, pepper, etc.. which could easily make Village Pizza one of the best in the Danbury/ Bethel area. Was picking up a pizza for dinner and saw that the were advertising family dinners for only $29.95. We have had both the penne alla vodka and the chicken parm. The chicken soup was well made with plenty of chicken and vegetables, the large salad was fresh, bread warm and tempting and the pasta was large portions and delicious! read more

Terrible customer service!!! I was staying next door at the Microtel for 3 weeks so this was convenient for me. We were disappointed in the quality and the taste of the meatballs with the pasta. I went back to the owner and asked for a pizza instead. He told me they were out of pizza so I asked for my money back. He seemed a little irritated when I asked but gave me back my money. A week or so later, I decided to give Village Pizzeria a another chance. I was in the mood for a grinder and again, it was convenient since it was next door. The other gentleman remembered me from before and said "well I will make it for you but if you don't like it I am NOT giving back your money." I was shocked to hear a comment like that. I said "forget it" and walked away. If you have insecurities about taking criticism from paying customers, you should not be in the restaurant business. I had a Cold Cut grinder. Very ordinary. Nothing special at all. The pizzas looked good, but I did not eat any. While you can eat there, it is really a take-out place. I am sure that Joe and Lina are very nice people, but they have not spent any money on improvements since the day they opened. read more

We've been scouring the area for our go to pizza place. Friday night is pizza night at our house. We live pretty out of the way and we've only found one place that delivers. (And when we got the goods it was COLD- smh). This place isn't it. We literally have tried 5 places so far. This place ranks at the top. The pizza is good and if you want a real treat order a Sicilian pie. Oh wow! We haven't had any sandwiches but the wings are tasty. The service has been great. Never a rude word. Something has gone amiss with my go to pizza, Village. One of the best parts of the pizza was the crust, very easy to chew and I never left any "bones". The crust flavor was awesome. Past 2 times, the crust was so hard and rubbery, I could not even bite thru the bottom area of the pizza, never mind the outside crust. So hard and rubbery. About 4 years ago Joe sold the business to a younger owner. He promised Joe he wasn't going to change anything. The new owner updated the inside of the restaurant and there was hope of eating Joe;s great pizza in new surrounding. The new owner changed the recipe and a 5 star pizza became a 1 star cardboard overpriced mess. Go down the street to Rizzuto;s and avoid this disaster! read more

New owners, but the meat lovers is great.

The restaurant is small, but quant, the first time I went was for an Italian Grinder, but I couldn't help but try a slice of pizza while I waited as they had a variety of Pizza available by the slice. I instantly fell in love, the pizza was just absolutely delicious, the crust was perfectly thin, the fresh mozzarella was gooey and flavorful and the homemade sauce they use just worked perfectly. The Italian grinder was quite good as well, really large portions and fresh vegetables. I ate here several more times while visiting family in the area, and I have to say, my favorite thing on the menu was the Sicilian pizza, by far the best pizza I have ever had the chance to eat. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if your in the area, everything was quite delicious. read more

One of the best pizzerias in area hands down. Cheese is hands down awesome, good blend on cheese and sauce just the way I like it as well as the crust being perfect. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone. Only a couple places in area can contend with the pies here. Sausage here is also very good, unlike most other places that offer sausage as a topping.
