I had a really frustrating experience with the front desk here. I specifically told the receptionist that my insurance had only been terminated two days ago and had given a new one to update but was told that my new insurance wasn't in network but that my old one was still okay for the visit today. The receptionist tells me it's okay and takes me back anyways but then after my appointment I was suddenly told I owed $250 out of pocket. When I questioned why from the other receptionist she completely changed her story and claimed that I had told her my insurance was still active for the rest of the month which is not what I said at all. I only said I had been terminated two days prior. It feels incredibly dishonest and unprofessional to mislead a patient like that and then shift the blame afterward. If I had been told upfront that my insurance wasn't accepted I would have made a different decision. Transparency matters! Especially when people are making healthcare decisions and trusting your staff to give accurate information.Definitely double-check everything yourself if you go here, because the front desk communication is unreliable and just was trying to cover themselves. read more

I would give this office no stars if I could! The only professional person in this office is Wendy! The doctor comes off as pleasant but this place is a scam! I would go for check ups after losing 3 teeth in an accident the office never asked me for copay's and I would be seen for like a minute to check the area and make sure it was healing properly and then one day they tell me I owe like $400 in copays! Wtf! All those times I was only seen for like 3 minutes max and they ask me after it stacks up! Then they took me to court saying I owed like $3,000 which my insurance was paying but they didn't think I would contact my insurance to verify! Seriously stay away from this office! Such a scam! Fantastic experience with Dr. Blum and staff. I crashed on my skates, broke my jaw and arm, both in multiple places and damaged many teeth. I was immediately admitted into Long Beach Memorial. Such a scary experience all the way around - my first time in a hospital that wasn't planned. I was facing multiple surgeries. Dr. Blum was the only doctor to come into my room and explain to me what he was going to do to put my jaw back together. I never saw the other surgeons. One sent an assistant. But Dr. Blum was there to ease my fears and convince me it was no big deal. Really put my mind at rest for the first time in the hospital. The recovery wasn't as bad as I thought, having my jaw wired shut for five weeks. It was at times, uncomfortable, but temporary. In the meantime, I had follow ups and got to know his staff, all very nice and friendly. Special shout out to the office manager, Wendy. Such a help during the whole process, always warm greeting and helped me with all my questions. Office is clean and easy to get in and out of and parking is free! I'm doing much better. I look the same and I'm able to eat all the crap I want now. Almost 100% recovered. Hope I never have to see a maxillofacial surgeon again, but if I do, I'll gladly return to Dr. Blum's office. read more

Our daughter Melissa got hit in the jaw with a baseball bat 2015 and her jaw was broken with the impact. After our ER diagnosis we were referred to Dr. Blum. He was extremely professional and was very sympathetic to our daughters pain and her entire traumatic experience. Dr. Blum wired Melissa's jaw together to heal properly. The procedure was done at his office immediately. We have nothing to say but positive things to say about the Dental Assistant's and there work ethic, and bed side manor. The front office was very attentive to our needs with timely appointment needed, finances etc. Dr Blum called and checked on Melissa after surgery. The whole ordeal was very hard on Melissa but how could it not being struck with a baseball bat in the mouth.The office made the entire process as painless as possible. We had a second surgery done in 2018 for wisdom teeth extraction. After Melissa's broken jaw experience she was very very nervous to have surgery and have her wisdom teeth extracted. The entirety office was very sympathetic to Melissa and her nervousness and apprehensiveness to encounter oral surgery again. To our delight the second surgery was just as smooth and painless as possible. Dr Blum called and checked up on her after 24 hrs. and the professionalism continued. Wonderful doctor!! Wonderful service when i went into the office. However their billing department has NO idea what they are doing. I was initially told my insurance would cover my top and bottom tooth extraction and that i would only be responsible for about $450. Then a month a later i received a statement for $269.99 called and spoke to Gloria who then turn around and said it was only $133.00 which is a slight relief. I then called my insurance who told me i should have been responsible for $483. Which is fine but annoyed that such a company can not do their math correctly and charge someone for the correct amount. In additional to that they added in a misc. claim which they never told me about and knew my insurance wouldn't cover it just to bill me a month later. Overall I've never been has such a horrible billing experience. I would honestly consider going else where or have them go over everything 5 times if it thats what it takes to make sure they don't end up stiffing you a month later! read more

To bad I didn't research this place before going to him. I needed emergency surgery done, he saw me same day, and was a excellent Dr. However I now come to find out his business practices are horrible. I and many others have been taken advantage of. This Dr. assures you your insurance will cover, but asks you to leave a deposit on your credit card. Dr.Blum himself, is contracted by some insurance companies, but "Anaheim Surgicenter", which is in his office, is a facility owned by him that is not contracted by any insurance companies. So when the bill gets denied for that reason, he charges your credit card for the full amount of your bill. Even when the insurance company pays, getting your money back from him is like pulling teeth. But don't just go by my word. Do some research online. You'll find more info from other patients. Get ready to pay even when your insurance pays. I had preapproval for a procedure for my daughter and when I went in the copay went up almost $300.00. I paid it and figured that was that. Boy was I wrong, I then began received bills for over $500.00 more. I was even billed twice for the same procedure and it took over nine months to convince their billing person, Gloria, of this, even though it should be obvious. My insurance company spoke to her and they told me I was overcharged and should receive a refund after they mail them a small payment. Well my insurance paid, but no refund for me. When I again spoke to Gloria, she said MAYBE I was overcharged a little. How can they not know their own billing!!! She has not refunded ANYTHING and I have now filed a grievance against them through my insurance company. Throughout this whole process(over a year) I have requested but never received a detailed statement of what was owed and what was paid. The work itself was satisfactory but because of the HORRIBLE office billing practices I would NEVER go there again. If you do, get ready to pay, even if your insurance does. read more

Well I have to say this is a very disorganized office. My client had surgery. He's 95. They did panoramic X-ray before hand. To keep his head straight they put him in a Vice that pressed on his temples way too tightly. He never complained about the surgery pain but was in pain from the X-ray. They said they would call that evening...no call! We made a follow up appt and I called the morning of... they didn't have it in their system even though I had a card with date and time. They said to come in at 1 but when got here for our 1 pm appt they said it would be 1.5 hour wait as he started a surgery at 1. Couldn't they have told me that prior to coming? Had me come in later? It's a hardship to get my client ready and out the door. I was not happy so Dr Blum came out to waiting room and did the exam. Big Ai yi yi! Not impressed! read more

AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL!! Oral surgery scheduled, office kept me waiting for 90 min...finally left when Dr. Blum wasn't even able to do the surgery. Went back a week later, sat for 30 min past appt time, then asked how much longer I'd have to wait. 60-90 min. ANOTHER FREAKING HOUR TO HOUR AND A HALF!!! Any particular reason the front office staff didn't tell me this when I walked in...or was waiting in the lobby??? I hadn't had any food or drink since midnight and now I was supposed to wait til 2-3pm to eat? Needless to say, I left and won't be returning. I already found another oral surgeon and have a consultation appt set up for this week. The thing that pisses me off the most is none of these reviews will make a difference. Dr. Blum accepts dental HMO plans, so he's got a never ending pool of patients who have very few choices. There are absolutely zero negative consequences for him being so disrespectful of his patient's time (or their family member's time - patients need a ride after being sedated) because he will always be busy. While he may get rave reviews as a Dr, he does a poor job of running his business. I had been fully approved for an oral device in Dec 2019. I was referred to him as he was in Network. Fitting etc went well. He wanted money up front which is fine for his dental lab. We are now in Sept. Taking COVID into consideration, his office and i finally got scheduled this week. He asked his poor front office staff to come and get more money from me. Had me fill out my credit card info too. I refused to give him more money. He said he doesn't have approval as they need more info. I started with him in Late Jan of this year and they haven't taken the effort to contact the insurance company. He wanted me to pay over $4,000 to get my device. I can't afford that and if his office had done their work, this issue would have long ago been resolved. He told me that if he let me out of the door with the device, he wouldn't get paid so refused to give it to me. I commuted in quite a ways to see him so that made me even more unhappy. I am surprised at the negative reviews, but they seem to be about dissatisfied billing, or people who tried to make appointments and didnt ever see the Doctor. We were referred to Dr Blum to remove my daughter's wisdom teeth. The woman who scheduled us was quick and friendly. When we came in, the staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean, we didn't have too long of a wait. Dr Blum was very kind, explained everything about the procedure, seemed confident and the surgery was quick and without complications. He followed up by phone and we were VERY pleased with our care. DO NOT USE THIS ORAL SURGEON! WORST BILLING PRACTICES EVER. Dr. Blum removed my daughter's wisdom teeth in March 2012. Dr. Blum is an In-Network doctor and the contract rate for this procedure should've been $350. He initially charged a deposit of $700 and then went on to charge us an additional $700 for the procedure. My credit card company was able to reverse the 2nd charge of $700, but Dr. Blum's office still owes us $350+ for the wisdom teeth extraction. Furthermore, my daughter was due to have jaw surgery. The doctor required that we do a work-up before the surgery (April 2012). He told us that this was not an insurable event and required that we provide our credit card info. He then charged us $1,650 to do molds of my daughters teeth and measure her face (5 minutes of his time). According to my insurance company, the jaw surgery is an insurable event, so the diagnostic work-up would also be covered. I have filed a complaint with my insurance company regarding his billing practices and the nearly $2,000 he has overcharged us. It is now December 2012. The insurance investigation is not complete at this point, but the doctor continues to charge me monthly services charges. My $1,650 charge for a "work-up" is now at $1,800. read more

All I have to say about this place is WOW! I am currently having severe jaw pains. I have HMO insurance and I was told by my insurance company was that Blumm is the only oral surgeon they cover. So I called trying to get an emergency appointment for today. Wendy answered the phone and right away diagnosed me over the phone saying I had TMJ (odd didn't know you were a doctor or that you can diagnose me over the phone without looking at me) They said they won't be able to see me for another month. There is no way I can wait a month with this amount of pain!! I called back to get advice on what I should do. I talked to the other receptionist Kimberley who was actually extremely nice and helpful and said she would talk to the doctor directly and ask him if he would take me today but he was in a conference call and she would call me back. An hour passed so I called back to check in. Wendy answered and said Kimberley who I spoke to went to lunch and she told Wendy to call me and tell me the doctor couldn't see me. (funny, pretty sure I was the one who called first, thanks for the call back!) Anyways... Wendy was EXTREMELY rude and had the worst customer service. I asked her to directly talk to the doctor and she said I couldn't do that so I then asked to talk to the nice receptionist Kimberely when she got back from lunch and Wendy said she was gone for the day. (Wait I thought she was on lunch? Now she's gone for the day?? Odd....) After getting off the phone, I went on Yelp to write this review and saw how many other people had terrible experiences with this office! I am also puzzled about the negative reviews (and the photos on Yelp? They seem like very, very old photos, but I'm pretty sure that is not a photo of Dr. Blum...). I have to admit, the first time I contacted their office, it was super hard to get a hold of them, but after that time, I had no problems whatsoever. Wendy, who is at the front desk, is always super nice and helpful and always gets back to me when I call, and it's always easy to schedule my appointments. I initially chose Dr. Blum because he was the only maxillofacial surgeon who took my insurance (HMO), but I'm glad he was my doctor. I have had an underbite and crossbite for as long as I remember and have always wanted to get it fixed but couldn't because of the cost of corrective surgery, but Dr. Blum made it happen for me and February of this year when I had surgery to fix my bite (and also genioplasty because my chin was off to one side). It's a tough few weeks recovery (although full recovery for my surgery typically takes up to one year), but Dr. Blum always patiently answered all of my questions. I could also trust him because he was knowledgeable about the procedure, and he told me his daughter had the same surgery. He's very nice and I'm very thankful to him and his staff because I finally have a normal bite! read more

It was the same doctor's office that made my sister lips PERMANANTLY NUMB from getting HER wisdom teeth pulled out. I excused myself and asked for copies of everything I signed because I knew this place would try to scam me. I received a bill in the mail charging me for a missed appointment and xrays. How can they possibly be charging me for missing my appointment if they are also charging me for the xrays I took during that so called "missed appointment"? So now I owe $300. I'm so confused with all these negative posts. The staff were all so wonderful to me. I had a hard time understanding certain procedures and payment plans, but they were kind enough to constantly explain over and over again. I really appreciate Wendy for making me feel welcomed and comfortable and setting up all my appointments with no hassle. Doctor Blum has also been very nice to me and keeps our appointments short. I was in a rush to get my underbite surgery done because school was about to start and I needed to do the surgery and have time to recover. The staff did their best to get everything done and in no time I was getting my surgery in a matter of one month. I'm the type of person to call someone out on being rude. The worst experience ever, The lady in the front is so unethical and mean I got to the appointment late after I called to let them know that I am late according to the GPS and when I arrived there , they told me we will reschedule you because you are late more than what you said. I was saying exactly what the GPS told me but I ended up with so much traffic and accident. The doctor himself I can't mention him good or bad because I didn't meet him. GO SEE Dr. Daniel Levin, his office accepts HMO. HE AND HIS STAFF ARE SO PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE unlike Dr. Blums office. I've scene Dr. Blum twice and both times 150% horrible. My 1st visit I sat in the examination room waiting for the Dr. to see me almost 40 minutes. NO JOKE! The door was open, and he was talking to another person about vacation, traveling, children, college. Trust me I heard his whole life story. I finally got up to ask the reception can I be scene please. She let the Dr. know and 10 minutes later he comes in the room for literally about 10 minutes. Ask what the problem is and assigned XRay, CT, MRI and jaw clenching mouth piece. 2nd time I had to come back for the mouthpiece and results of the test. In the examination room, Dr. Blum walks in creates small talk. When I asked him what were the results? Dr. Blum said "Oh, they haven't come in yet"...HUH??? I brought the results in with me. He briefly aloofly went over the tests. He stated "I'm going to call the technician who wrote the report to see if it's an active or dormant jaw joint degeneration". Well folks, he never called to check, I called the office 3 times within 2 weeks and all 3 times the office said "I'll give him the message". Well finally I called a 4th time pleading can he let me know what's going on before he takes off on vacation. I got a call the night after about 7:00PM I put him on speaker as I was driving. My husband and I could not believe our ears. He was fumbling in his words, didn't make sense and sounded intoxicated or very tired - who knows!!! Needless to say, after that I requested to see another Dr. elsewhere. Unfortunately, I had to call today for documents and SURPRISE - the receptionist said "What is your number, I'll call you back after I ask him". HAHAHAHAHAH.... Can't help but just laugh. Too much to ask for a professional oral surgeon office REALLY an email and she starts accusation. New patients beware, if you read this review and have to deal with this office staff over insurance matters. BEWARE Dr. Blum you need to read these reviews. This woman is not a proper reflection of your professionalism and doing a disservice to your hard work. An evaluation with a paycut and maybe she will think twice about how she responds to CUSTOMERS. If I could give it less than one star, I would. I am finally getting back to seeing a dentist after the nightmare that it was with this so-called dentist 3 years ago. The only star goes to his assistant who held my hand while he pulled my top wisdom teeth. It took a FULL YEAR to get rid of this man in my life. I had 2 claims open with him; one with my insurance and one with my CREDIT CARD because he charged my cc that I used to pay for my 'one-time fee' consultation. He kept my CC info on file and charged me instead of my dental insurance. I was HARASSED by Gloria (oh how I still remember that insane ladies name) and was made to feel like I OWED them money because they didn't submit their paperwork to my insurance company and I received dental work. Since when does a patient get dinged for a dumb employee? After countless hours on the phone with my insurance and Dr. Blum's 'billing service' (AKA a voice mail phone number that occasionally gets picked up by Gloria), I was able to get rid of the charges, mind you it took ONE YEAR to clear this up. The dental work was average; as someone else mentioned, Dr. Blum kept pushing General Anesthesia which my dental plan does not cover ($400+ cost per Dr. Blum) but I turned it down and asked to just use local since I was afraid of being put under. The follow-up wasn't bad, just rushed in and out to see if I hadn't developed an infection. Please avoid this dentist. I seriously had issues going back to any dentist and finding someone I could trust solely because of this horrible practice. read more

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT CONSIDER USING THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU HAVE THE MONEY UPFRONT AND/OR THE PATIENCE TO DO ALL OF THE WORK HIS FRONT OFFICE IS PAID TO DO BUT OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T . I was referred to Dr Blum by my dentist for a second opinion. I scheduled an appointment for the consult and was told I needed a sugical procedure. I had called my insurance company prior to my visit and was told that since they did not have oral surgurey as a standard benefit, it would have to be covered as out of net work. The 80/20 standard would apply as a non solicited provider but, the dentist's office would need to provide certain information prior to the procedure. I gave all of this information to the front office staff on the day of my consultation and asked them to call my insurance company to give them this information. I wanted to be sure of the coverage before I scheduled the appointment. When I didn't hear back from Dr Blum's staff after 3 weeks I called and was told, that they were waiting to get the approval from the insurance company. She told me that they usually get these on a Wednesday and when she got it, she would call me. When I got a call back from Dr Blum's office I was lead to believe that the procedure was approved by my insurance company and they proceeded to schedule me for the procedure. I was then asked to pay 50% of the procedure on the day of the surgery ($1100 for the entire bill, my 50% portion was $505) . I asked why they wanted 50% upfront and I was given a song & dance about how the insurance companies don't always pay as they say they will. I told them that I wasn't going to pay them 50% and that I'd find another oral surgeon. The front desk person said she could ask the Doctor if he would make an exception. She put me on hold and came back and lo and behold, it was ok to just pay the 20% on the day of the service. A couple days before the procedure, something told me to call my insurance company and confirm that everything was done according to what they had asked. I was told that in fact they had not received any written correspondence from Dr Blum's office and they only showed that they received one brief call which was disconnected and not returned. I immediately called the office and canceled the procedure and told them exactly why. I got a call later that day from someone who identified herself as the office manager. She covered for the front desk people even when I gave her all the details of how this went down. A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail with the same story. Today I got a bill for $177.00 for a 5 minute consult. Every time I had an appointment I would sit in the waiting room for a minimum of an hour before being called back just to sit in a room for another 30 minutes. Dr Blum was amazing. I had a fractured tooth that was causing me unbearable pain. Within 2 days of my first visit the tooth was out and my pain is gone. I will be seeing him again for a skin graph and implant to replace the tooth as soon as it heals. What a kind caring Dentist and all of his staff are so kind as well. read more

Worst experience ever! Poor customer service, money hungry! They look at their patients for a paycheck, I got charged 4000$ for getting some stitches taken off. The most unprofessional facility I've ever experienced. Was supposed to have a splint made (that I didn't need), and Wendy called me to pick it up saying that it was ready. I arrive and wait for 1 HOUR in a room. They walk in and tell me the splint won't be there until tomorrow. I could not believe it! To whom i may concern, These negative posts below make no sense to me whatsoever. I had nothing but a professional, reassuring, relaxing experience with my oral surgery at Dr Blum's office on 9-20-16. Wendy is in the front office and always had a smile on her face and was willing to answer questions and help me understand the process and procedure. My regular dentist recommended I get a second look at a little growth on the base of my tongue. I went to one oral maxillofacial surgeon (paid cash) and was told to have it removed. I wanted a second opinion and went to Dr Blum office (referral from my Covered Ca insurance) and was told again to have it biopsied/ removed. To be honest I did read the Yelp reviews and got a little spooked and decided to get one more opinion. The third doc in Huntington Beach wanted to remove it that day and wanted to charge me 20% of the procedure cost on the spot. I said thanks but no thanks and went back to Dr Blum's office and made arrangements. Keep in mind I was really concerned about a chunk of my tongue being removed and expressed my concern to Wendy, and Sydney in the front office. Each time they reassured me that it was going to be a very routine procedure and that Dr Blum has done countless procedures and I would be in good hands. The day of the surgery was quick and easy. Carlos and Kimberly assisted with the procedure and made me feel totally at ease every step of the way. I got there at 7:45am and was done and out the door by 9:15am. They even had some pain meds available so I wouldn't have to have my wife stop at the pharmacy. I had no pain whatsoever and healed quickly. It did not affect my speech and I was back in the field the next day doing my sales job. The resorbable stiches fell out on their own as promised. I would recommend Dr Blum to ANYONE who wants quality surgery with a professional and compassionate clinical and office staff. Make it a great day! Extremmely negative experience. The receptionist was not clear about our appointment. We called to confirm, they said yes we have appointment. When we showed up, the office closed. Second time, we rescheduled the appointment. On the same day of appointment, I received a phone call that appointment must be cancelled because the doctor must go to hospital for surgery. I really understand that emergency case is priority. I rescheduled for next week at 4:15 PM. When I showed up on time, we were told that the doctor left due surgery in the hospital at 5 PM. I asked the receptionist why don't you called to let me know. She was yelled at me while saying surgery is emergency and it is priority. Seriously, if he had surgery at 5 PM, how long can he talk to us, she responded it only takes 10 minutes. Xray after 1 month, we need to know the result and discuss the treatment. Also, he will work on adjustment for special oral device to fit the correct size of the mouth. How comes EVERYTHING CAN BE DONE IN 10 MINUTES???!!! Everything about Dr. Blums practice is absolutely terrible. His office is completely unprofessional, and there was a huge lack of communication with his office between my orthodontist and my insurance company. It was near impossible to get any necessary paperwork and billing information from them. The follow up care from my jaw surgery was terrible, and I was not given any type of therapy for my jaw to heal or anything to help repair my nerve damage, which is now permanent. Dr. Blum just said that after a few months it'll all go back to normal, but it's been 6 years and I still have permanent nerve damage, and although it is a risk, there are treatments for it post surgery that were never offered. My overbite has come back, and now I need the surgery again and his office will not give me any medical records. They said to come in to sign a consent to release and once arriving to their office they said they don't have any of my medical records. His office and practice is completely terrible. Worst place ever. Do not come here! The Doctor was ok but his staff is garbage. I was referred here by my regular dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction in September. They checked my insurance and told me to pay for what they think would not be covered at the time of service. No problem. I paid for my treatment that day but when I got my dental insurance statement I realized I was over charged. I gave Dr.Blum's office a few weeks to process the refund. It didn't happen so I called to follow up. The receptionist said that they didn't get anything back from my insurance company yet and asked me to fax it to them even though they could see the same info online. But I did anyway. I waited again and left 2 additional messages to call me back. No response. So today I call again...it's now close to 3 months since my treatment. I finally get a hold of Gloria who the receptionist pawned me off to and she has the audacity to tell me that I still owe them more money! WTF? So I ask her when they were planning on letting me know that or when they were planning on sending me a bill and how I think it's funny that I now owe them money right at the same moment I'm inquiring about a refund from them. She then tells me that I don't need to give her attitude so early in the morning. And that's my problem how? Why don't you do your job as the billing manager?! If I owe I have no problem paying but you can't accuse me of owing you money if you've never billed me before! I'm waiting for her to send me the info she has since my insurance company said they were never billed again. read more

I've been a client with Dr. Blum for a year now. I am very happy with his service. The office manager Trina is awesome. She is very detail and professional. I had to have surgery with Dr. Blum to fit my TMJ and I am still working closely with them to do follow up visit to monitor the healing in my mouth. read more

Being retired, I had a job as a School Crossing Guard where I was up and active daily, and I was also able to take rapid walks up and down the beach several times a week. I came to Dr. Blum to have a tooth pulled. They put me to sleep (even though they guaranteed me beforehand they would do Nitrous and not be put to sleep) and pulled the tooth. My son drove me home afterwards. When I stood up from the car I screamed in pain from my hip. My son helped me get inside my home and sat down. I reached out for a pile of papers to sort thru and screamed out in pain from my shoulder. I no longer could raise my arm and no longer then could raise the stop sign to cross children as a Crossing Guard and had to quit my job. After 4 trips to the E. R. for shoulder pain... a surgeon had to do a Complete Reverse Shoulder Replacement. After the tooth extraction at Dr. Blum's office I no longer could walk a block and a half to a 7-11 without pain, weakness of leg and my foot turning in. After an MRI.. a spine surgeon ended up having to do Lumber Fusion due to slipped disks and compression. I am now not able to walk without a walker. This tooth surgeon, and his helpers in the room with him that day, act with NO MORAL OBLIGATIONS to their patients. They never told me what happened to me when I was asleep, but made a show of having me look up and down and side to side when my son was in the room to take me home. All I know is I had dark bruises on my right upper leg the size of fingertips after being there and the severe pain in my shoulders and hip and troubles walking and raising my arm and ended up with two major surgeries and a lost quality of life. read more

Terrible. I do not recommend him at all his office staff are rude they don't even get along with each other and argue in front of patients very unprofessional. My daughter was in a very traumatic accident he is overcharging and is now trying to bill for unknown amount because she went back to her general dentist for help. She is be billed for work that was not even done for example. Extractions she lost several teeth they do not pull any teeth out. Instead of referring her back to her general dentist he sent her else where she didn't know any better until we spoke to our primary dentist for information he look at the bill too and said that was outrageous so disappointed with this so called professional and his staff. ;( read more

needed emergency oral surgery and he saw me the same day i called for the appt.he removed two teeth and i went home feeling much better but expecting to have much pain for the next couple of days while healing. BUT on day 2 i was only taking ibuprofen for the pain, he did such a good job. very happy with this dentist. great job. read more

Run! Terrible billing issues, thought doctor was checking with insurance-even showed an estimated insurance payment on one bill. I appears he never checked & we are out $1,500 & still have no teeth replaced. I never, ever would have seen him had I known this would happen. Kelly P. read more

I was admitted to St. Jude after multiple seizures & because they didn't put a bite block in, a few of my teeth were shattered. The hospital called in Dr. Blum to assess the situation. He removed two front bottom teeth & left my top right tooth in, hoping to save it, all the while I was unconscious. He had to put a bar graph on my full upper set & four on my lower left side. Then when I went for the check up to get it removed I was told by Gloria that I had to pay the $3,200 before they would do anymore work. So I'm stuck with this metal bar graph in my mouth (that continually scars the inside of my cheeks & gums) all b/c I couldn't speak for myself at the time & I'm not made of $$. To top it off when I went in, hoping to talk to Dr. Blum, I was told that he wasn't in the office & not two minutes later he comes out to the desk. I, very nicely, tried to speak to him & he went right back down the hall w/o even acknowledging me. Some people might say this place is upstanding & professional but I'm sorry, I had the very opposite experience..just had to vent my frustration. If I could have I'd give him zero stars!! read more
