I got there in 5 minutes and after a short wait was seen by the Doctor. He found a small hair in my eyelashes scratching my eye. Ventura store just told me no they didn't have the same pair and nothing more. Then I went to the one in Camarillo and explained what happened and Angie was so nice and told me it must have been a defect by the way they were cracked and told me it was still under warranty so was so nice and looked around to try to find me the same pair. She finally found some but in a different color in Santa Barbara so they shipped it to Camarillo and I got them within a few days December 20. I went back and picked up the glasses and this morning I woke up and they were cracked in the same exact spot as the last pair so since I got this last pair in Camarillo, I decided to go back to that same store since Angie was so helpful and let them know what had happened. When I went in the girl behind the counter greeted me and as I was telling her what had happened from the beginning she was giving me a look as if my story wasn't true in a way and told me well you only get one warranty and I said well I believe it was a defect and then she called to Angie and Angie tried helping me out looking for another frame that maybe my lense could be put into. This review would have been a 5 star but with the way the first girl behind the counter made me feel and wasn't nice after her greeting I could only give a 3 star. Angie is amazing.

My issue with his practice has been the lab he had contracted with for the glasses. I spent almost a thousand dollars for my prescription to be serviced by their lab and it took 16 weeks to get back! I kid you not! Unfortunately later on in the year, the left corner of my Oakley lens popped up! I notified Dr. Amundsen about it, and they told me that they're not responsible for it.

I received LASIK from DLV about 5 months ago but then my vision started to get blurry again so i…read morehad to call back to get a touch up. The doctor works in three different offices so he is only available on certain days for procedures. Does not do procedures on Thursdays and Fridays. They are not open weekends either. So I called in to schedule a touch up and there was a next day appointment available. I accepted the appointment and was given confirmation that my procedure would be in Camarillo. Around 5pm right before the office closes, i get a text message saying my appointment in Westlake has been canceled with no reason. So now im confused, do i take the day off tomorrow or is there a mix up? I call back the next morning to reschedule. I get a LASIk procedure scheduled for a Monday and they don't tell you the time until the day before the procedure. Come Friday before my procedure, I never received a call nor text nor email and its after hours and the office is closed on the weekends. Kind of an inconvenience as i have to arrange a ride and a caretaker. Fast forward to the day of my procedure. No calls or emails or texts received. I have to call and chase them down to find out whats going on. Apparently they canceled my procedure but neglected to inform me or even attempted to reach me the day of. Again i have to reschedule my appointment.

Dr Nguyen was a delight to work with, always cheerful, knowledgeable, and on time. If she was busy or stressed I never got a sense of it as she was patient (even though I was the patient, LOL!) and took the time to discuss any and all issues related to my surgery and follow up progress exams. Oh yes, the surgery was a complete success! While not inexpensive (Medicare and even my PPO insurance doesn't cover most of the cost) the end result after 6 months is virtually perfect distance, mid-range, and reading vision. I do use OTC low power readers when doing extended close work or reading, but for day to day needs like reading labels, recipes, etc. no glasses are needed. I highly recommend the entire Miramar team; Drs Davidson, Nguyen, and Roy Butera, my primary care vision doctor.
