He offered to make things right with both my and my wife's glasses, even though it had been several months since I had mine made. We both ended up having to go back to the eye doctor to make sure there was no error with the prescription. After that, we went to the store and explained the situation. Once they heard that Gregg had given his approval, they remade the lenses for both of us. As of today, I've picked up mine and the rainbow edges I was seeing before are gone, as well as a crack that had appeared due to the lenses not fitting the frames right. I'm satisfied that although we originally had a bad experience, Eyeglass Factory made things right in the end. Thanks Gregg!

I needed progressive lenses for the first time, and…read moremy previous optometrist was incompetent -- she even dismissed me when I suggested I needed bifocals because we were struggling to find a prescription that worked and basic reasoning told me it was time. I'm in my mid-40s and obviously needed a different prescription for up close vs far away. Dr. Gary at Family Vision Center didn't even need me to make the suggestion-- he figured it out very quickly during my exam. The progressive lens prescription was spot on the first time, even though my eyes are tricky -- one nearsighted eye, one farsighted eye. I can FINALLY see again (without employing a bunch of tricks like taking my glasses on and off and moving things to exactly the right distance in front of my face). I'm so, so pleased with the excellent quality of every part of my experience with FVC, from the intake person, to the doctor, to the glasses fitting specialist. It is called Eyeland Bliss Optical. I went in and what a pleasure it was. The owner Ali Rossi is so delightful and what a professional! I told her I had a unique situation and needed glasses for reading and unclose, but that I needed the glasses to fit in with my costume when I worked. She showed me a plethora of choices. I had such fun choosing them out and she told me how my insurance would cover some of the costs so I was able to get the glasses I wanted. Thank you Eyeland Bliss Optical for making this girls eyes so happy!! I hope if anyone out there needs glasses for any reason, this is the right place to go. This place continually tries to upsell you. They offered me tear duct plugs for my dry eyes and…read morewhen I asked, I was told it was completely covered and there was no cost to me. They even told me to come in as often as I wanted because they were basically free. They never gave me a cost estimate because they said it was covered. 2 years later I get a bill for over $1k because apparently it wasn't covered and in the entire 2 years (over a dozen visits I had in that office) they never once told me that I owed them money. They just kept letting it build up. I would never have gotten this service if I had known it was costing me money each time. They never once told me there was a deductible in the 2 YEARS I came to the office. Only kept continually telling me it was 'completely covered' by insurance. I didn't even know they were billing my medical insurance and not my eye insurance because it was a 'medical' service. They didn't explain any of that. I did complain and they did write off some of the cost, but they are still expecting me to pay several hundred dollars for a treatment I would have turned down at the very beginning if they had told me there were any cost. The fact that it was 2 years of fees building up before they let me know is ridiculous. The whole thing feels like a scam. I shouldn't have to pay any fees, but I'm done arguing. I just hope that this review warns others to at least don't take their word for anything and double check your own insurance even if they tell you things are covered. And make sure you are asking if they are billing eye insurance or medical. I always thought it was weird they kept trying to upsell additional tests, etc, but didn't think it was a big deal because you can turn those down. But I should have gone with my first instincts and found a different Dr. after my first visit.

However, there is one service absent at Community Vision. When you pick up your glasses, the staff doesn't check them. Every other optometrist I have ever gone to has made sure my new glasses fit. I even told the woman that the glasses were really loose; they needed to be tightened. She had that deer in the headlights look. I know she worked there, but did she? I didn't think one star was fair, but I was very disappointed with the service received. And, I still wear my old glasses. What a waste. Don

I've been getting contacts and glasses here from when I was younger and I think it's awesome they remember me. Who can forget this Yelper McYelperson? LOL :D Anyways, I bought 2 boxes of contact lenses on 11/9 and they're pretty good about calling you when the order is delivered to their store (mind you, my vision is close to blind so they don't have my prescription lens in stock). Two weeks pass and I call them to follow up and they let me know only 1 box came but not the other. They reminded me they will call me when I receive it. I think I called again a few days later and still no luck :( They gave me a call the following day to let me know that the company is backordered on my prescription lens (which is completely out of their hands) and offered to give me trial contact lens while I waited on my order. How amazing is that?! Very accommodating and they didn't have to do that but they did which I am grateful for :) I picked up my samples and it helped so much because my glasses gave me headaches and I needed contact lens to wear with my loupes for clinic. They gave me a call today 11/25 that my contact lens boxes have arrived and ready for pick up. I picked those babies up along with thanksgiving food prep items in Walmart so it's like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone (or maybe 2 turkeys with 1 stone haha). So this is what I'm truly thankful for this Thanksgiving: Walmart's National Vision Center for being considerate and on top of their contact lens game :D

They only offered Acuvue, which didn't fit my eyes well, and the pair I left with was extremely uncomfortable. I never went back. I later went to Beverly Hills Vision Group (Jackson Lau) and got contacts that fit perfectly. Wasted $250--recommend going somewhere else.
