My daughter had a broken leg that prevented her from swimming, and the team helped us put our lessons on pause without forfeiting her recurring slot with Maxim, and even refunded us for her missed lesson the weekend prior. We've been incredibly happy with our time at Waterworks, both the customer service and professionalism of all the staff, as well as the skills Maxim helped our daughter learn.

Instructors do cancel or become unavailable, kids do get sick, but actually using your makeup credits can mean having to find a completely different time or instructor. We accumulated a lot of credits that became incredibly difficult to use without disrupting the recurring schedule we worked hard to secure. We spent hours on calls trying to work something out and eventually had to escalate it to management and management doesn't care. For Regional Center/SDP families especially, I would ask a LOT of questions before committing your budget here. The administrative experience and lack of flexibility have been incredibly frustrating.

I would have expected a $50 or 25% discount for this. Lastly, I do wish they had some sort of guarantee for early swimmers such as...kids will learn to swim independently within 3 months of lessons. There is no guaranteed like that here so it may take 1 months 1 year or 3 years for said kids to learn to swim which is a bit concerning for how much that is charged. Lucia is now 15 months and we still show up every Saturday and honestly, that says everything. Coach Angie is patient, kind, and just gets it when it comes to working with babies in the water. She knows the curriculum inside and out, but more importantly, she knows how to make the experience fun and safe from the very first class. Lucia went from a baby who had never been in a pool to a little girl who LOVES the water and that's 100% because of Coach Angie. The moment Lucia spots her walking over she starts waving and kicking with excitement. That kind of connection doesn't just happen it's built by a coach who genuinely cares. I'll be honest we've had a couple of classes with other coaches who didn't quite meet the bar we'd come to expect. We gave Big Blue that feedback and they handled it really well. Super supportive, took it seriously, and corrected the situation. We appreciate that a lot. We came back, landed back with Coach Angie, and haven't looked back. This was a big factor in opting for them over Aqua-Tots (my child was too distracted as there were so many children and so much going on). Having the restrooms and shower facilities is convenient. For example, their CS4 circuit classes target your lower body majority of the time, so if you are a runner then you risk overtraining legs or if you want an upper body workout then you have to just go to their overcrowded weights area. What especially sucks is their hours. They close early on the weekends at 6 pm. Especially during the summer when the sun sets around 7:30pm, you're not really able to get a night gym sesh in. Wish there were an. I think this gym is more for people who enjoy taking classes than those who want an open-gym experience.
