I rarely write reviews but Dr. Quon deserves these accolades! I found him to be professional, extremely through, knowledgeable with great bedside manor. From meeting Dr. Quon in his office to talking with him after my endoscopy and colonoscopy, I felt safe and cared for. He has a presence about him and confidence that you feel. I look forward to working with Dr. Quon in the future. My only recommendation is the prep area before you're wheeled back be much quieter. Dr. Quon is one of the best doctors I've seen. He specializes in gastroenterology. On February 5th, 2018, I had this really awful stomach ache and I was nauseous. It was one of the worst feelings I've ever had. The next day, I didn't get any better. I actually got worse. I had chills and cramps. I went to St. Joesph's Hospital in Orange County. The doctor literally walked in, talked for 30 seconds, and guessed I was constipated. It was very unprofessional and, personally, I thought it was ridiculousand stupid. I went to see 2 more doctors in LA and none of them knew what I had. They thought it was food poisoning or the stomach flu. But I wasn't getting any better. One of my friends recommended Dr. Quon to me. I had already gotten a referral to see a GI specialist at Keck Hospital of USC, but they weren't going to see me until the end of April. Dr. Quon was available the very same week I called him (Mid March). He was very kind and helpful. I saw him the week after I had come back from skiing. I told him all of my symptoms and what I had eaten since I got sick. He knew it wasn't an ulcer. He said it was most likely acid reflux or gastritis. I asked him for an endoscopy just to be sure because I had been really sick for over a month and I was frustrated. He scheduled an endoscopy the week after I saw him and he ahowed me pictures of my stomach. It was in fact gastritis. He told me which medicines I should take and avoid. And he also told me which foods I should eat/avoid. The endoscopy went really well. It was over before I knew it. He kept in touch with me and asked me how I felt. His staff is also really helpful and nice. I highly recommend Dr. Quon. He's one of the best doctors I've met. Very professional and friendly and smart! read more

I'm so disappointed. I was referred to Dr. Quon from the emergency room Dr after spending a day there in agonizing pain. Nothing was showing up on any tests so the Er doctor recommended a colonoscopy. I waited months for this appointment while I was in pain. Dr Quon saw me for a total of min. Cut me off whenever I was trying to explain my pain or my history with this issue. I told him what my Er Dr said and he simply said "You're fine, I've been doing this a lot longer than him." And sent me home with an antacid. No tests, no answers. It's been months, the pain is back and I'm definitely doing to find a different "specialist" read more

I wish I could leave fewer stars. I saw Dr. Quon after waiting nearly 2 hours in the waiting room after my scheduled appointment time. Upon seeing me and hearing about my various medical issues he made a completely inappropriate joke about inbreeding in my family. He put me on a very, very expensive (think $1000 after insurance) anti-biotic that did work but, of course, at huge cost. On my return visit, the nurse showed me in to the room, a dirty room which is really gross considering they stick fingers in weird places there. While she was cleaning the room, she sprayed Lysol in the air about 6 feet from my face and said "Cleanliness is overrated." I think not. I went and saw another GI doctor who immediately took me off the ridiculously expensive anti-biotic and asked me to change parts of my diet and use immodium. She was a God-send! You have many, many other options. read more

As with others here~ if I could give negative stars I would! The level of service and care is beyond unimaginable! Because HE decided to code my colonoscopy the wrong way, I am now responsible for thousands of dollars in medical bills. I'm a 60 year old woman with a family history of colon cancer! The last colonoscopy I had was 10 years ago. I went to see HIM and he said I needed a colonoscopy since it was time and because of my age. He refused to code it as a screening AND on top of it~ because I hadn't seen him in a few years~ I am now considered a new patient and had to pay $615 for an office visit! This is beyond absurd and I am disgusted with the lack of care and obvious greediness he has shown. DO NOT go to Dr Quon or UCLA Gastrointestinal. Despicable! read more

This was my third colonoscopy with Dr. Quon and I must say they're almost getting enjoyable. Dr. Quon is kind, thorough, knowledgeable and has small fingers (one of my prerequisites). The prep for the colonoscopy was tolerable (Gatorade and Miralax---yummm) and the procedure went smoothly, including the thing they stick up your butt. I especially enjoyed operating the scope controls and trying to avoid that Pacman thing running loose in my duodenum. If you're the least bit apprehensive about going through what many expect to be a painful and humiliating ordeal Dr. Quon's prep nurses, Terry and Eileen, will put you at ease while they poke and prod you and stick things in your arm. Colonoscopies are a necessary evil that can often be lifesavers (not the sucking candy kind) and to have Dr. Quon in your corner (so to speak) is a blessing. The only way this could have been a more pleasurable experience would be if he looked like Jennifer Lawrence. I know. That's just weird. read more

Terrible! He absolutely does not care about the patient. After sitting in a room for 45 minutes waiting for him, he finally came in and briefly listened to my explanation of symptoms. He spent more time copying notes from my previous doctor's records into his system than anything else. His recommendation as a specialist? "I have no idea, go back to your general practitioner". He then says to follow him. He leads me back to the front office and continues to walk away without even saying goodbye. I literally got nothing from him but still received a bill for $450. He actually billed over $700 but my insurance has a contracted rate. I tried to dispute the high charge, as it was coded as a level IV instead of the lower level I, but they determined that was the correct amount according to the doctor's notes. All he cares about is billing as much as he can with no interest in trying to diagnose his patient's symptoms. read more

Dr. Quon is a very professional and knowledgeable physician. He and the staff @ the UCLA Santa Clarita Digestive Diseases out patient services located on the Henry Mayo Campus are caring and explain procedures in detail to make the patient feel comfortable. The office and procedure room are clean and make you feel welcome. I hope this review will be beneficial to others looking for a doctor that is the "best" at what he does. read more

I saw Dr. Quon for a routine screening colonoscopy. That's not the most enjoyable test, but Dr. Quon was great. I only waited a few minutes before seeing him at the first appointment. When he saw me he explained the procedure in detail, including the risks of the procedure, and he explained why it's so important to get the test. The nurse and a scheduling person explained the prep process in detail and scheduled the appointment for the actual test. When I arrived at the testing office (in the same building, but on a different floor, I only had to wait a few minutes before being escorted into the exam room. Everyone was super friendly and professional. They really made me feel comfortable. For the actual test, I was given demerol and a sedative of some sort. Though it wasn't general anesthesia, it was close. Dr. Quon himself administered the meds, and that's pretty much all I remember until I was being wheeled into the recovery area. The test was over before I knew it. I was given a sheet of paper with color images of what they found, along with explanations. Then Dr. Quon came over and explained them to me in detail. I went home just a few hours after arriving. Really, this test is usually thought of as a big deal. It wasn't with Dr. Quon. I highly recommend that anyone over 50 get the test done and you should see Dr. Quon for it. read more

Have been going to him for about 5 or 6 years for various issues and feel he is very, very professional with a great personality and he explains everything.
