Two bad experiences in a row by two different technicians of the practice left me wondering if the…read moretechnicians were properly trained. Compound it with long waiting lines (some over an hour wait), crowded waiting rooms, and a staff with attitudes made me rethink my treatment. I requested a referral to Eye associates. In February of 2026, I went for an eye injection to dry up some liquid that had spilled into my eye when a small eye vein popped causing loss of vision. This procedure requires the eye being numbed so the injection does not hurt. The technician performing the prepping of my eye gave me two doses of numbing drops. Normally the third numbing drop is given a couple of minutes before the doctor actually injects the eye. The doctor was already injecting my eye when the technician reached over the doctor's shoulder to drop the third numbing drop. My eye hurt and kept hurting for a couple of days. This procedure is a series of injections, once a month, which started last year around May/June. It is not supposed to hurt if numbed properly. Then on March 23rd, I went for an eye exam that required injecting a colored dye into my arm while a technician followed the blood flow on computer. After four unsuccessful attempts, by a technician, to inject the dye into my arm, I stopped the test. The technician drawing blood was either not a trained phlebotomist or she lacked the experience required for proper drawing of blood. It hurt every time she stuck the needle into my arm only to fail to find a vein. Are these people even certified in their job?

PLUS THE ADDITIONAL 20 min they asked us to arrive before the actually appointment! And wait for a lady to read the letter things. Wait again for the lab. Waiting AGAIN in the THIRD PATIENT LOBBY, to see the doctor. Is all the in the same 10 feet apart i practically have toured the whole bottom floor by now. Still waiting .. Waited for nothing, the doctor of course talked to us for less than 5 min didn't ask if we had questions. WHILE HE WAS TALKING the nurse or assistant walked in which was very distracting she sat down and started typing on the computer Takes us to check out THERES A WAIT TO CHECK OUT Left at 5 pm on the dot you do the math for 5 min for a doctor

A feckless factory; go elsewhere. You will get charged above and beyond insurance coverage even for a full exam that was just a follow up. Rediculous. I found Timothy Johnson to be dismissive and condescending. He scoffed at my questions and was pejorative in his replies. Fuck them. Don't waste your time / money with Dr. Johnson and eye associates.
