My family and I will no longer go to Railyard Urgent Care. We had a situation with them several years ago, however, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Recently, my two year old grandaughter was taken to the Railyard Urgent Care with a high fever and the flu. They denied seeing her since they were closing in 30 minutes. Several years ago, I fractured my foot and called a different Urgent Care where they were closing in 20 minutes. When I got to Urgent Care it was 10 minutes before closing and upon my arrival they were waiting for me outside to help me in the building. Other urgent care locations are outperforming Railyard, so I'd highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

This clinic charges a lot of money even if they don't solve your issue. My daughter was once turned away from Railyard with strep that eventually turned into sepsis and was told to take allergy medication. I myself was given inappropriate medication for my condition, which was confirmed by two actual ER doctors, and Railyard refused to adjust my prescription from topical to systemic treatment despite clear indications that this was necessary. Yet both of these times I was still charged $150. read more

Came in later on a Saturday afternoon (in from out of town). Front desk experience was good & the guy there was friendly. Attended to pretty quickly, and as I suspected, was diagnosed with a sinus infection. Fortunately, they had the antibiotics on hand to take out the infection. Don't desk as super friendly & empathetic. She helped get paperwork done. I was told it would be about 1-1/2hr wait. It was about 1-1/4 hr. Dr Addington came in SOON after my vitals were taken. He sat down & listened to my symptoms (I'd had a nasty fall a few days ago.) He agrees that the likelihood of a break is very low since I've not had any major issues other than bruising &, expected, soreness in the area. He sent me home with exercises & offered a referral for xray. I'm told the highest cost OOP shouldn't be more than $200 (more likely closer to $135). Came in to Urgent Care due to tooth pain that resulted in severe pain, headaches, fever, chills and swelling on the mouth. Dr. Watson walks in and immediately points at the name on scrubs and says "Dr" not a "Dentist". this immediately set the tone for my care going forward. If I could put a 0 rating I would. My husband and I brought our 2year old and ourselves in to be seen due to sickness and extreme vomiting. We sat there in the room for almost 2hours just to be moved to another room and only given a nose swab. Once moved to another room the doctor came in and proceeded to get upset that my 2 year old autistic child had a cell phone(she was inconsolable and we were just trying to get through the visit). Instead of asking me to remove the device the dr said "I'm not doing this" walked out of the room and then walked back in a minute later stating "let's get this over with mom." And SNATCHED/RIPPED the phone from my child's hands leaving her to scream and cry asking "why mama". Then proceeded to get mad that I grabbed it back from him and I had asked him why he would do that to a 2year old, an autistic one at that. And he told us "to get out, I'm not treating you" as I grabbed my stuff and my child my husband had come back in from grabbing something from the car and was trying to figure out what happened but I was in tears and upset. The doctor then told my husband "I'm sorry sir, I'm sorry sir". Dr Watson is NOT a good doctor. He has come into the room for two separate visits due to illness and has come into with a set intention of treating us badly or with attitude and judgement. Generally happy with past care. Yesterday, I called about suture removal from an out of state surgery (not cosmetic). Was told the clinician would see me and see if the site is sufficiently healed. Today, arrived, filled out the paperwork and was then told they would not remove the sutures. No personal inspection, just "nope." If they don't they don't, but apparently the front desk is not informed. Will likely return, but not happy today. read more

While the medical staff has always been very supportive and attentive to patient's needs, there is at least one policy issue that needs addressing. Namely, how phone call requests are handled. We had a situation in which a liquid medication prescribed the day before by a NP was accidentally tipped over and about half of the liquid spilled out. When we called to get a refill, we were told that the patient would have to come in to the facility again to get another prescription and it could not be handled over the phone. This is a needless waste of time for the patient and the facility which could be serving other patients more quickly, not to mention the additional cost of another visit for the same condition being charged to insurance! read more

Dr. Troy Watson is very unprofessional. He knocked on the door, walked in, saw the phone in my 2-year-old autistic child's hand, said, " I'm not gonna do this," walked out, then walked back in, ripped the phone out of her hand forcefully. He then proceeded to get mad that my wife grabbed the phone and told him "she's 2 years old" "she's autistic".My daughter was inconsolable projectile vomiting as well as having a panic attack before we got there, but yet instead of being accommodating and welcoming he aggressively ripped the phone out of her little hands. He then continued to yell at my fiancé and say " a two year old shouldn't have a phone" being a doctor he should be aware of autism. Treating a child the way he did was more than unprofessional. The medical care is sub par we sat there for 3 hrs only to get a covid swab, height, weight, blood pressure, pulse. Then around the 4th hour he came in and this incident took place. We left and went to aspen and it was like walking into a different world, the care and treatment we received was amazing. We were done in about 2 hrs the doctor was amazing he took his time to find out the best treatment for us. read more

Short version: This operation is a money grab. It employs questionable allied health people who don't possess the medical education or competence to diagnose. Since you will pay $50.00 upfront and wait up to three hours, I strongly urge you not to waste your time or your money here. What happened here: I am an athlete, and from prior experience, I know precisely what a torn knee meniscus feels and looks like. I tore my meniscus early on a Saturday in January 2024 and went to this place for an MRI. I paid $50 (which ALL of you will pay upfront before anyone sees you). I waited the required two hours to be seen by J Fernandez Quesada. I told her what had happened and requested an MRI. This woman moved my leg around and proclaimed that I didn't have a meniscus tear but that I had arthritis instead. Her words: "we ALL have arthritis, girl; I got a 60-year-old back." Inexplicably, she sent me for an x-ray. She printed clinical notes for me, indicating she would refer me for an MRI after the x-ray was performed. She said she would call me to follow up but to call back myself if I didn't hear from her. I never heard from her again. After three conversations with the Railyard receptionist, I was transferred to someone named "Kelly," who told me that "private notes" were written in my record that said if I still wanted the MRI, I needed to come back and pay the $50.00 again for a repeat visit! Follow-up: I saw my orthopedic surgeon 5 days later and received an MRI of my knee two weeks later. The findings? "A complex tear of the medial meniscus AND a sprained MCL" (medial collateral ligament). Jackie Fernandez didn't even know how to test for a torn meniscus. She was making it all up. This is the kind of incompetence you can expect if you go here. Moral of the story: Go to your actual doctor. Receive the care that you deserve, and maybe you won't have to wait weeks for an accurate diagnosis and medical treatment like I did. read more

I give the Railyard Emergency Clinic a 'A+'. Merrisa, the receptionest was warm and very helpful. Matt, the nurse was kind and compassionate. Dr. Brison, was also kind and gave me the necessary information I needed and called in a new prescription do me. It has taken care of the problem, I'm feeling much better and I'm grateful for my initial visit going so well !! No wonder they have always earned 'First Place', nearly every year with The Reporter. Never thought I would be throwing down a 5 star review for an urgent care but here we are. Girls trip gone wrong and one of our friends took a spill at St. Francis on a cobble stone dip. We landed here. Super clean and well kept up front area. The two gals in the front were fabulous. Very service centric which is key when people are at urgent care. They got our friend checked in pretty quickly... Anna J (aka wonderful human) brought over ice, some forms and was just all around fab. Okay, so I never went in the back but my girlfriend who was injured did and she was as impressed with the care process as we were seeing in the lobby. The doctor even followed up as promised with a phone call after confirming injury with the radiologist. As my other friend and I were hanging out in the lobby watching people filing in with their issues, we watched Anna J and the other gal at the front provide unwavering care and service with absolute grace. What I will say is this... if I ever need urgent care... I hope I am in Santa Fe NM and near this place. Top notch. read more

First time I went for a double ear infection and an almost ruptured eardrum; I'd just landed in town to move here that very day, so I had no doctor. Yesterday I went for a severe reaction to penicillin (I hadn't been allergic before). They don't follow through with calling in prescriptions (for time sensitive meds), even after multiple phone calls. It's one excuse after another excuse. We had been in Santa Fe for two nights and had been battling a steep fever with our toddler the whole time. After the second night of no improvement and a negative home covid test we decided it was time to visit an urgent care. Railyard Urgent Care is clearly the best rated urgent care on yelp that I could find closeby and open on a Saturday. I checked their website and there was no opportunity to check-in online which was a bit concerning since many of the reviews mention long waits but we figured we might as well roll the dice since it's one of the higher rated locations in town. We arrived about 10 minutes after they opened, checked in, and were told it would be at least a two hour wait and to wait in our car. Have you ever waited in your car with a toddler for what ended up being a nearly THREE HOUR wait? I'll let you in on a secret - it's not fun. Luckily there is a Starbucks that is walkable so my husband walked over and got the three of us some food/coffee while we waited. Many youtube videos of baby shark later, and a nurse came out to get our kiddo's temp, and take a covid test. We were told that he would return and take us in if she was negative and we would get a call from the doc if she was positive. Flash forward 15 minutes and we got a call saying she was positive for covid. While asking questions and getting tips from the doctor over the phone the nurse showed up at our window and said "great news! She is negative for covid, we can see you now!" to which we had to explain the doctor had told us the opposite. A few minutes later we found out they had mixed up the tests and she actually WAS negative and just needed to be treated for an ear infection. Now the quick and dirty of this is that we had truly excellent care once we got inside. I would rate the doctor and the nurse we saw 5/5. They were kind, thoughtful, and very apologetic about the mixup. The reason why I'm giving three stars is because the long wait just seemed very over the top. There are several urgent care centers here in KC that allow for you to check in online to avoid long waits like this and I would have really appreciated that option. I really hope the kind people at this urgent care consider this as an option. It was also the mixup on the covid test that ultimately made me lower it down to three stars. It really did freak us out a bit and I know mistakes happen - I hold no grudge against them for this, it just made an already challenging morning a bit more challenging for us. Overall I'd go back here because the facility was clean and the doctor was really great, but I would be hoping and praying that they had improved the wait time via an online check in before doing so. read more

Frighteningly terrible! The receptionist was friendly and apologetic when the 1 hr wait she had assured us of, turned into 3 1/2 hours. However, the real nightmare began when the doctor, who was not wearing a name tag (?!) finally entered the room to inform me that 1) she was extremely pissed off that she had had to come into work on her day off. 2) that she could only prescribe me a reduced dose of Paxlovid, and not the full dose, despite both home test and in-clinic test were positive for Covid. I am 63 yr old with absolutely zero history of any kind of kidney problems. But, because Railyard apparently cannot access Christus Patient Records (?!) or CA Kaiser, or anywhere else, she could not confirm it and "did not want to risk her medical license on my behalf". Thankfully, the Christus personnel on the phone suggested I get out if there ASAP, and get to a real Urgent Care. Totally Railroaded by Railyard! read more

Do NOT waste your time coming here. Waited over two hours and they canceled my appointment. I had gone in 30+ mins prior to ask how much longer and when she stated it was an additional 30mins I ask if it was possible to refund my copay but I needed to go to the car (were my husband and two very young children 1&4) to make sure that was ok. All I wanted to know was if it was possible. I was unable to go back immediately because I was so sick. When I was able to go back and check to see how much longer they stated they canceled my appointment and argued and had zero care of the issue. I am out of town and drove in from Houston Texas. This was an over all horrible experience and they did nothing to make it right. If I could leave 0 stars I would read more
