We happened upon Ridezilla 1 day while out running errands. My husband and I have had bikes pretty much our entire marriage of 25 years and we both had them in our younger years. So, motorcycles have always been in our blood. We started by getting a couple auto shift no clutch putters for around town. It's fun till you've seen all the same stuff time and time again. After a couple bike changes, we decided to trade in our 2 smaller for 1 larger for my husband to go ride the mountain curves on. He opted for a 26' Kawasaki 900Z. He loves it because it has an awesome cruise system, as well as handles great. Our salesman that we really like working with is Kevin Fox. Super nice guy with great salesman qualities. Now the finance manager is just as equally nice. Dario Lizzarraga has very good customer service and an all-around nice guy. Will add some photos of before and after upgrades soon. read more

Took our Grandsons Quad to them in July to make sure it was all good to go to ride because it was stalling. Had a 50 point inspection and said it was the throttle cable. Picked it up August after the repair, took it home, our grandson rode it for about 15 minutes and it died. So disappointed being charged $350 and not repaired. Took it right back and now it's the carb? Another $500! No way. They have no idea what they are doing and would never recommend them to anyone. Now we have a quad that does not run for a $350 repair that was not repaired correctly and let a customer down with no solution but to give them $500 for something that should have been caught with the inspection. Honestly I don't even know if they really even did the throttle cable repair. Shame on them. read more

So lately I've been hunting a Suzuki King Quad 750. I've owned two prior which were 700s without power steering. Awesome machines and in my opinion the best ATV built. So I saw Michael's Cycle works had a 2022 KQ in stock. I wasn't really trying to buy brand new because things are expensive these days but the 1.99% deal Suzuki was putting on was attractive. I called down to the guys in Carson and Mike Cannon picked up. While talking to him about the new KQ he told me "I've got a champion yellow 2011 750 Kingquad with power steering that just was traded in." Mike gave me all the specs and with just over 1000 miles on it he had me excited with a very fair price. I got down to Carson City to see this Kingquad and meet Mike. This Kingquad was exactly what I was looking for so I completed a deposit and Mike took care of the rest. This was my first time at Michael's Cycle Works in Carson City. Staff was friendly the location is super clean and I thought Mike Cannon helped me get a smoking deal. I shopped around and this was by far the least expensive of the area shops. I was concerned I may pay for these savings when I needed service on the sled. I was definitely wrong there. The guys in service are very friendly and knowledgeable. My snowmobile had an issue the week of the biggest storm of the year. I took it in Tuesday morning and had it back Wednesday afternoon. I went here a couple weeks ago to purchase a Honda Grom. I looked online to see how much they were going for. I walked into the store and was greeted after a few minutes. I told the guy what I was interested in. He showed me what they had in stock. There was a used Grom and a new Grom. Well he tried to high ball me at first and sell me a used Grom for over the price of a new Grom. How do you figure? Then he tried to tell me that the person that owned the Grom put some upgrades on it. Well those aren't my upgrades. I'd rather have it stock. I don't know if they guy wired it wrong and there could be a short on the electrical. I was on the fence of just walking out and re-evaluating my choices. Then he asked how much I would pay. I told him and he kind of shook his head like I was making a steep deal. Was it just an act on his side? Maybe. Either way, I could just walk out and save myself money on something that I don't really need. He said he'd have to talk to his manager and he'd be back out. He came back a few minutes later and said they'd go for the price. I paid for the whole bike out the door. No financing because they had a minimum limit on their financing. Oh well. No bike payments for me. All in all, I'd say this place was better than any of the motorcycle shops in Reno. I'm surprised many of the motorcycle shops in Reno managed to stay in business with their crappy customer service. If you happen to shop at Ridezilla, do yourself a favor and do your homework on the item you're thinking of purchasing. I think I got a fair deal. I'm happy. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I bought a brand new Yamaha Rmax sxs from these guys just over a year ago. Since I've had it, it's been nothing but problems. It's been in the shop for over six months with warranty work being done to it with no ETA insight. It started out with a broken axle was clicking from the factory. Now I have a complete engine failure and the transmission needs to be rebuilt. Ridezillas staff has been nothing but unhelpful giving me terrible advice and not being friendly in this process. Had an urge to buy a side by side. I'd called around to numerous dealers both in and out of state for information. This place appeared to be the most informed and open about the questions I had. Let me say up front the sales person (Terry) was super. He owns a couple of side by sides (two different brands) so he was helpful in providing info on each brand and their features. He helped us make our choice with the data he shared with us. I'm not sure if it was the time of year, day of the week or other issues but sales were jumping there. It may take some time to get Terry set down for your questions. But like I said, he's a wealth of information. Open, straightforward and just the type of sales person I want to deal with. If you go in here, ask for Terry. Sales carries the good grade. Parts leaves a bit to be desired. We saw three people at the parts counter and often they were not that busy. I bought parts that were in stock no more than 400 miles away (L.A.). Two weeks later they are not yet in. I've been told the weather is an obstacle. OK. But how do all the food items and freight get into town? It certainly doesn't take two weeks for bread or milk to get delivered! Oh...and a phone call to update the customer would certainly provide the appearance that you are still as important as the day you walked in. That's just plain old customer service read more

My experience doing business with Ridezilla has been extremely expensive and disappointing. Had Ridezilla shown the slightest interest in customer satisfaction I would not be posting this review. In 2020 I purchased a Polaris Sportsman 570 ATV from Michael's Cycle Works in Carson City - now owned by Ridezilla. Plowing snow off our 700 foot driveway and clearing brush from the property was how our Polaris was being used. The Polaris was in no way abused. As the winter of 2022 approached I received a "Do Not Operate" factory recall letter from Polaris. Ridezilla's service department knew nothing about that recall so it took a few weeks for them to research the recall, book an appointment and resolve the issue. Soon after that recall was addressed my Polaris began leaking oil. An oil pan replacement would eventually resolve that problem but that also took Ridezilla several weeks to accomplish. Shortly after the oil pan was replaced the engine in my Polaris would die every time I came to a stop. I'd take the Polaris into Ridezilla, they'd tell me the problem was identified and resolved but I'd get the Polaris home and the problem would reappear. I sent a letter off to the Polaris Owners Connection Team describing the dying engine problem but my letter was totally ignored. Long story short, a great deal of time and money was spent on the Polaris during the winter of 2022 but dependability was never achieved. Given it's unreliability, I asked the salesman at Ridezilla how much they'd give me for the Polaris if I were to trade it in on a new Honda Pioneer. The ballpark estimate my salesman gave me was a number I could live so I agreed to the deal. To my surprise, the Polaris's trade-in value reflected on Ridezilla's written sales agreement was almost half of what their salesman had suggested it would be. I should have walked away but the lure of owning a dependable snowplowing machine heading into the winter of 2023 was worth the extra money. Ridezilla's next misrepresentation involved the delivery date of the Honda Pioneer 700 Deluxe they claimed would soon be arriving. Ridezilla told me that Honda would arrive on - or around - August 27th. When August 27th came and went, I asked the salesperson when my Honda would arrive? "Sometime around mid to late October" was his answer. That did it for me, I walked out of their store and I'll never go back. While I prefer to do business with locally owned companies, Ridezilla is not a locally owned company. They're owned by Partzilla, a Georgia-based on-line company that sells vehicle parts, riding gear and more. Ridezilla's Carson City facility serves as a West Coast distribution hub for Partzilla. As such, Ridezilla doesn't dependent upon the business and loyalty of local customers. Retail customers add incremental revenue to an on-line, distribution centered revenue stream. Ridezilla will thrive with our without our patronization. Determined to head into this year's winter with a reliable snowplowing machine, I visited Big Valley Honda in Reno. There I was able to purchase - and take immediate delivery on - a 2023 Honda Pioneer 700 Deluxe for $1,124.00 less than the price Ridezilla had quoted me. In addition to that saving, I was able to purchase Honda's five year extended warrantee for $550.00 less than Ridezilla's price. Forewarned is forearmed. read more

Reached out to multiple dealers in Reno, California, Idaho and Oregon expressing my interest in either the Can am Commander or Polaris General. Terry was the first and ONLY person to respond, even with nothing in stock. We went with the Can am and Terry let us know when one was expected in. Long story-short, we purchased the machine and some accessories. The process was super straight forward and easy. I have went in here twice to buy a new machine and I am treated poorly almost like I can afford anything or like the salesman doesn't have time for me. I drove to Moto Untd in Utah to by the machine I have, and I bought a dirt bike from Honda in Reno instead. Years ago I got fed up with Micheal's, the sales and parts department could not be bothered to help me. Service department was useless. I recently sold my 550 Polaris ATV and needed to replace it. Thought I'd give Ridezilla a chance. Salesman Danny either had all the answers or was able to quickly and accurately get them. A quad meeting my needs/wants was enroute to their shop and we set up a test ride the day it was off loaded. We negotiated a fair price, far better than the best price Reno could do. While waiting on the paperwork I wandered the parts department. The sales guy there actually stopped what he was doing to help me discussing the different things I wanted added to the quad. The service guy came out to give the quad one last inspection and he went over all the features that were different between this Polaris and my old one. He actually navigated the display screen quickly and easily. After 10 years with my old quad I'm wasn't that proficient. I was looking into getting a brand new 2023 Honda and unfortunately it kept getting pushed back from Honda, at first it was a month of wait, went back and got told another month. Terry in sales was fantastic -- the models we wanted were in very high demand but he was able to make it happen and helped us spec and get them just in time for Spring. He was always extremely responsive via text, emails and phone calls and kept me updated every step of the way. Service was great since there were some issues at the factory with the new models we purchased but they worked thru them and were in constant communication with us to make sure things were taken care off. Ben and his dad personally delivered them to us in Tahoe, He went above and beyond meeting us at the inspection station for the mandatory inspection, launched them in the water for us at a nearby marina, and then dropped the trailer at our home. I ordered a battery for the polaris, the guy charged it and even put a vent hose on it, it didn't come with one. It took two hours to charge and he put the battery acid in it. All I had to do was take it and put it into the quad. No hassle just good service. read more

I had been looking for a motorcycle for quite a while and found just wanted I wanted at Michaels Cycle Works. I first called, then emailed, and after 3 days of no contact made the drive from Gardnerville to the store. I worked with Mike Cannon, he was nice but never gave me the feeling that he actually cared about me or my business. After purchasing the motorcycle, he told me he'd figure out a delivery date and get back to me.. 2 days later and no call, I reach out to him again and let him know what worked for me... I wish I could say this was when things got easy, unfortunately not. I asked him to call my wife when they were heading to my house so she could open the garage. They failed to do so, thankfully she was home and able to do her part When I get home all I wanted to do was go for a ride on my new bike. However this wasn't a possibility as there was no fuel in the tank! So after I get gas I start to adjust my mirrors, they start spinning and tighten facing the front of the bike. Not a major issue just a failure during prep/ set up. The kicker for me is I called and got in contact with Ben in the service department. He apologized for not having gas in the tank and offers me a gift card, which I appreciate and accept. But here's the best part. He tells me he needs to get approval from his gm, which is totally understandable. He tells me he'll get in touch with me "tomorrow"... that was a week ago. I am happy with the product I purchased from Micheal's Cycle Works, the service however has left me very disappointed and frustrated. I can't say I would recommend them to anyone. read more

recently moved back to Northern Nevada after having been gone 12ish + years and haven't really had a proper highway going / mountain twisty machine since then either. i decided to get back out there and with a quick generic internet search i found the bike (and color) i was hoping for in Carson City. i live in Reno and made the drive down, as i walked through the doors i had remembered i actually bought parts here prior way back in the day. in addition i also saw some familiar faces. the fact that they've managed to maintain a lot of their employees for decades should tell you right there that the dealership must value their employees and that has a direct impact on their customers. sadly i have pretty low expectations when it comes to dealers, not that i've had particularly bad experiences, just that i haven't had phenomenal ones (or rather, nothing to write home about). not the case w/ Ridezilla. right out of the gate, whether it's the person answering the phone, sales service or parts, even the random person that walks by and offers you water, er'body i had contact with there was / is excellent. clearly they value their customers, respect their product and are just all around good people. now being a retired auto industry worker with a strong dealer level background and having some insight on what makes a dealer work (whether good or bad), can be both a blessing and a curse. basically, i have a really low tolerance for general BS when it comes to people telling you what they think you want to hear or just flat out lying. in short, Ridezilla's business model is one that recognizes and supports long term customer retention (something that i feel is unfortunately a thing of the past). they were great, it started with having the bike i wanted, and as a further bonus it just happened to be last years model which turned out to be considerably less expensive than the current model (as much as $2k in savings compared to the current 2023 model), and thats huge when you consider the 2022 is identical to the new 23 (besides color) and it's only a $7999 bike to begin with. anyway, at the risk of sounding cliche, they were all great, way better than expected (especially finance & managers - wink). someone even helped my teenaged son find some gear while giving really good advice. we live in Reno but won't hesitate to drive down to Carson in the future. i am thrifty but will continue to spend my $$$ w/ them. it's like the old saying goes: you can sheer a sheep many times but only slaughter it once! thanks guys. i'm sure we'll see you again soon. read more

I'd like to give them a better rating but I can't. The service guys are professional and nice but I've been there twice for them to fix the same thing they messed up in the first place. Last time they tried to get me to pay a fee when I have the extended warranty, and I was only there because of their mistake. Both times I've been there, they didn't even put my car back together. I had to reconnect my speaker and put my seat back in. I'm just lucky none of the parts they failed to reconnect blew out on the way home. Also, I'm not sure if he's the owner, manager or whatever, but there's a smaller statured fella that I've interacted with twice. Both times he was condescending and rude. The first time he jammed me up for parking in the service area. There's almost nowhere to park and the only spot where you can fit a trailer had two cars in it. No problem I'll move. It was his tone and the way he spoke. It was like a quick move your car then he walked off. It was first thing in the am. Save that attitude for 4:30 in the afternoon when you're getting ready to close. The second time, I wondered into the showroom 30 minutes early (it wasn't open yet) via the service department since they aren't separated. I was only there because they needed two tries to fix my car. Service was open but the showroom wasn't. He literally said who is this guy? Do we know this guy? I was going to buy some girl cans and check out some street bikes. Solid move losing a sale. If there was any other place closer I'd go there. Rough start for a newly owner place. read more

I have a unique situation in that my husband had purchased two new Polaris Khaos 800 Snowmobiles and was diagnosed with terminal illness just months afterward. They have only hours on them. I took then to MCW for service and not only was everyone professional and helpful but they showed enormous compassion for my situation as well. They went over both machines to be sure everything was in order for my preparation to sell them. They also gave me a price they would buy them but were kind enough to say that I could probably do better selling on my own. They're honesty was genuinely appreciated. They are the biggest rip off I encountered. We took our razor in for service that was estimated at $691 which is outrageous already and then our bill was $1100. I will NEVER take my rig or recommend this place to anyone ever. They also turned a bogus claim into my warranty company got the part and never put in nor even notified us the part was in. I have a 2005 Seadoo Challenger boat. I stopped to get oil filter and o rings. The person behind the counter was so rude and unhelpful! "Your boat not in my system and I can only go by this" i had to look up on my phone to see how much oil it takes. Great customer service you will be out of Business if yo keep it up!
