After everything I have been through with these jerks I found another problem. The salesman told me the bike would be supplied with a brand new battery when I purchased it. I noticed the bike had been running weak and the gauges started flickering on me. I removed the seat and seen the battery WAS NOT NEW!. It even said 954 on it so they new which bike the battery went to. I took it to a REAL DEALER in sacramento and they said it had a dead cell. I bought a new battery and boy did the bike turn into a whole new animal. Michaels sucks and so does the entire crew. I went to MCW to purchase a Yamaha side x side this morning. I'm pretty sure we were the only customers in the building. The other ten to twelve people were either intently staring at a computer screen on their desk or counter and the rest were talking while setting up or adjusting displays. An older lady walked right past us and into an office marked "F and I" without a word or smile. My wife and I walked the entire store for ten minutes often times within two or three feet of store staff without ever being acknowledged in any way. Before we left we easily overheard one male employee tell another "we can't understand why we are losing market share". At least we got a good laugh for our time spent there. I bought a new Polaris ATV from these guys two weeks ago. I live in Carson City and simply wanted to keep my business local. BIG mistake. The sales staff was arrogant and condescending, finance staff was pretty much the same...parts dept, same....service, same. There was no delivery orientation, no Polaris parts offers, no service offers...hell, they didn't even put gas in it! They just parked it out front, handed me the keys and said, "It's out front." Took ranger 800xp in for oil change and filter change. After about a month of not hearing about my machine I called they said it will be ready the next day. I go to pick it up the next day and got hit with a 1600 bill. They changed suspension parts and did extra work on there own. All I wanted was simple service. The parts manager was rude and smart mouth about what they had done without permission. Never again will I do business with them, I went and bought a Honda pioneer 1000 limited the next day, they lost my business I was going to buy another ranger from them that weekend and not the Honda. I have had two experiences with this place. I purchased my 2007 Honda Rancher 4x4 quad here. Salesman was prompt, but not knowledgeable. Luckily I had done my homework. I paid cash, so the sale was easy. It took them a few hours to get the quad "ready", and I have never had any issue with it. It is a Honda, and I do baby it, so keep that in mind. Today, 2/14/14, I go in to purchase the new 2014 Ninja 300. I have great credit, and was willing to put down $2000.00 on this bike. Kawasaki's website, for the ABS model, $5299.00. I ask the salesman who was quick and courteous for an out the door price. I also asked if they charged freight and assembly. He said they did. So he comes back with a price of $6500.00. Even with tax, freight and assembly this place is $1200.00 over MSRP? I want the bike bad enough, and I like to buy local, so I go ok, let's talk to finance. Cutting to the chase, I get denied. No reason other than, computer says "no". With a FICO in the mid 700's, I was like, ok, whatever. I could have purchased the bike on a credit card if I wanted, but I took this as a sign that they really did not want to sell the bike. I noticed it had no battery and no oil in it, and the salesman said this was the only one they had. He also said they don't pull a full credit file, whatever that means. So this place has a single financing company I guess. Somehow I doubt I will get a official rejection of credit letter in the mail, as required by law. I'll watch my credit profile to see if it even got an inquiry. Reading other reviews on Yelp, I guess this place has gone downhill. When you are rejecting local buyers, I wonder how they keep the doors open. I guess I'll try Reno Kawasaki, I have heard mixed reviews on them, but if the service is good, I'll just finance it myself. read more

This is hands down the best shop with the best employees I have ever been to. I've been riding for years and recently purchased a 2019 RZR turbo in July with them and it was painless and got a great deal. They put on after market parts for me for a great deal and they are perfectly done. This weekend even I unfortunately rolled it and had no one to help. I called the shop and Ben was 100% willing to meet me and help me for nothing in return. It was in a doozy of a spot, took about 2 hours, and he didn't give up and leave me stranded. He wouldn't give up. He absolutely rocked and I will not call or go elsewhere due to their professionalism and literally pure kindness! If you're looking for a dealer who will take care of you after you purchase two 18,000 RZR this is NOT the place to go. 1. I took my RZR in because I had a warranty on it and it had some serious issues. I pulled it onto the flat bed and something fell off, it was a couple screws that never got screwed back in. I thought it was just a mistake and than I saw my fenders flapping in the wind about to fly off. At this point I didn't think anything else could go wrong more than it already has, and than it was still running weird when I pulled it into my garage that night so I had a technician come to my house to look at the work they did (Michaels). As he was taking it apart, he noticed the pistons that were supposed to be replaced were UNTOUCHED Not only did they LIE about fixing the things on my RZR but they also charged me 1,400 dollars. 2. I took my other RZR in because it had some weird sounds coming from the bottom. They couldn't figure it out had it for a week and didn't do a dang thing. I heard there was a recall on RZR and asked if mine was it they lied to my face and said it wasn't. Latter that week I called Polaris to complain about my experience and they told me I did have a recall and my dealer knows and should have sent me a letter in the mail. Nope, they never did and I live 3 hours away, to see these jerks. I had to have Polaris personally call another store in Reno Nevada because the recall period was already over, so I was going to pay out of pocket, because Michaels lied and told me I didn't have one. I have called management and they don't care this is only two out of various times I have had a terrible experience. I learned my lesson and will never go to this place again I highly recommend buying from somewhere who cares about the customers, and this place cares less than 1%. read more

I purchased a used polaris XP 900, the starter gear lost 2 teeth and it wouldn't start. I took it to Michaels and they told me it was still under warranty but I would have to get it put in my name, no worries! They didn't have to tell me about the warranty and I would not have know. Nw for the reason they got 4 stars not 5, 9 months later while changing the oil I notice metal flakes in the oil and find the 2 gear teeth in the oil pan! They inform me the mechanic who worked on it failed to pull the pan to remove them and he no longer worked there, the manager said they would fix it under warranty since it was there fault! That's how service should be, when you screw up you fix it! UPDATE: Ok so now it's been 6 weeks and still not fixed, can't get a return call for status of my RZR? They have the worst after sales service imaginable. I bought two jetskis and they got the VIN wrong on one, which led to a nightmare to straighten out with the DMV and insurance carrier. They were of little or no help solving this and didn't really give a crap. They can sure cash and clear a check quick though. Having bought in Nevada, with registration in California, they dragged their feet with all the docs, including certificate of origin and smog certs. Again, after the sale good luck. I bought a 2019 Polaris General they dropped it off after having it a week to put on some accessories it showed up without the accessories and never called to let me know. I drove it that evening and 45 minutes in to my ride it overheated and all the coolant leaked out. My wife and I had to walk home in the dark get a truck to tow it back. Michael's wanted me to bring it back to them or they wanted to charge me to pick it up. then they had it for 2 more weeks to fix the radiator and then they still did not put all the accessories. Gee, that is a great way to reassure a customer about getting good service. After an overly priced front tire was mounted, I asked if the air pressure for the rear tire was done. He went to the service area, returned saying it had been checked.....nope! The tire pressure light was STILL ON!! I drove to the service area and had to ask a mechanic to check the air pressure readings myself. As I drove away the service guy behind counter gave me the finger! This place is the only place I can go for my jetski unless I go to sacramento. So they charged me 600 dollars and it didn't fix the problem, given they said it might not fix it. After this I decide I will look at it, so I changed the spark plugs and guess what it works!!!! This place is a complete scam just using there monopoly of the area to get money. Absolutely zero stars for the gentleman w long black hair that goes by the name "cook"at the Carson city location. On 5/4/17 I had my street bike motorcycle tires mounted and balanced. On 5/6/17 I went out for a ride, the first ride and during that ride almost lost my front tire and almost had an accident due to the improper balancing by cook at the Carson city location the vibration was so bad at decel the tire came close from the road. I called the reno store location right away after the ride 5/6/17 and talked w Harrison and let him know my concerns. He was top notch, five stars for this guy, true professional. He fit me in right away and upon inspection of both tires said the front tire was miss balanced opposite (180 degrees) which put the front tire way out of balance and the back tire was so poorly miss balanced they had to add weight. The technician in reno said he had to add weight in the proper locations to balance both tires correctly. Next time only Harrison at the reno location gets my business and trust to balance my tires. Steer clear of the gentle man that goes by the name of "cook" he could have created a really bad situation due to this mishap, Management and owner of these locations beware!!! I wouldn't let this guy named cook touch anything else until he gets proper re-training. read more

Ive attempted to purchase products here for over a decade. I hated their service then and now its worse. They stock a crap selection. They dont have simple items like Motion Pro cable lube. If you have to order a oem part (which you will have to order it because they wont have it) its a minimum week away. Whats the point of that?? I can do that on Amazon. My last attempt at spending money here was when I was looking for a clutch lever. As soon as I mentioned it was a BMW the hobbit behind the counter copped an attitude and said "oh well we dont have any street bike levers." Yeah hobbit. Its a dirt bike. Oh well we still wont have anything to fit it. Listen hobbit, BMW doesnt make levers, they fit many applications. He didnt want to help, didnt care. I went to KTM where Craig was super helpful, he even ran out to my bike to see who makes the levers. I will always go back to KTM. Why go to a store where you feel worse than when you went in. There have been more than one problem with their parts guys. Serious attitudes in there. Never going back. I will go to KTM or Reno Yamaha/Honda. No more hobbitudes for me. read more

Imagine my surprise when I get there, and they tell me they no longer service watercraft, at all. I have nothing but good things to say about the repair shop at this dealer, I purchased a new 2019 Polaris Rzr S from a dealer far away as I was working in that area when I decided to upgrade my unit and I have bought there before and they gave me a good deal.... Problem was no fault of any dealer but a factory defect clutch that blew up within 10 miles off riding and even blew parts out the plastic clutch housing.... I took my unit to Michael's cycle works when they opened on Tuesday with no appointment..... The professional staff got my unit in right away while I was there and showed me the issue on my unit, from there that same day they had put in a claim with Polaris and received confirmation that the clutch would be covered in full and the part was ordered that same day....Polaris sent the clutch out the next day (Wednesday) with a delivery for the following Thursday...... Come Friday I called to see the status of my unit and they stated they could not find the part, but it showed in the tracking system that it shipped and should have arrived. While rather than making me (the customer) wait they removed a part from a new unit and placed it in mine... That is called customer service, knowing that my part was a brand new factory unit that was going to be replacing the the part used to repair my unit. So for my existence they went above and beyond to make the customer experience pleasant, and that they did, I have always used this dealer to maintain all my units since 2005.
