Their selection is incredible and the sales are good ,too. I never have time look around for help since there is always someone available if needed and they don't look at you with a third eye as seen in their competion...cough cough...Hobby Lobby. Would absolutely recommend checking them out for some fun things to decorate for your holiday decor or hit me up for a custom bracelet. This location seems to be going downhill. I've shopped here for years; this is the first time there were zero cashiers on duty. The ONLY option was self checkout. And I don't think they EVER clean the checkout areas. There was so much glitter schmutz all over everything that I had to clean my hands, my purse, and my purchases before putting anything into my car. Would probably prefer driving further to this location, than going to the sad Willowbrook location. The customer service here is GREAT! I sought to ask the cashier by the name of Vickie for some information about coupons and she was very helpful. She showed great quality service, and she had a great attitude! The cashier area does notify the next customer as to which register is open, which is a huge plus! I wish other stores could be this way as well! Helps the customers be alert as to which register is ready to take a new customer. I am a little disappointed of their spray paint selections, as they do not have very many. Watch out for the Asian guy with glasses , I was trying to shop for yarn for my project , and he was eyeing us the whole time and then proceeded to follow us to the checkout and checked us out at self checkout and it was so weird because why would need to cashier at a "self" checkout , and kept asking if we scanned everything , he made us super uncomfortable and then I realized he was kept looking my husband's hands as if he had something else hiding . Came to retrieve my in-store pickup after an email that confirmed my order was ready, only to find there was no in-store pickup (trippy, man!). The employee searched in vain for it, but no luck. However, when I strolled to the poster frames section, I saw the exact same size that I had ordered, in a similar value-branded option. Rolling my eyes, I retrieved it, and went to the front to pay. The extra star was for the staff's collective genial attitudes, which gave a pleasant taste to the whole half-assed affair of me driving to Michaels, only to find out they didn't have the item in-stock, even though it was in-stock and on the shelf. read more

I got a good recommendation for a sewing machine from the cashier, but the machines were stored in an office rather than on the shelves. The cashier asked for another staff member to retrieve one as she was busy helping people check out. I waited almost half an hour for someone to get the product from the office. This location seems older and it's always a mess. The store is big but things are scattered everywhere and out of place. It's so hard to find what you're looking for. When I visit this location I avoid the restroom at all cost. If you have to go, go next door to Best Buy or hold it. The picture I uploaded is what I saw today when I stopped at the store. I'm a lover of all things crafts so I end up in Michaels on a regular basis. You can find pretty much whatever you're looking for in the crafting area. This location can get busy but their lines move fast. Customer service is ok, usually the ladies at the check out are friendly and helpful. However, I'm rarely asked if I need help with anything while shopping in the aisles. It's no biggie if you like to peruse and find what you need on your own but if there's something specific that you can't find, it would be nice to have someone offer assistance. Other than that, this place is a-ok. If by chance there is a discrepancy with the signage on the sales floor, they will honor the price or deal that the sign is advertising. During my last visit, the line had gotten extremely long so the store manager came out and started pre-scanning the items customers had in their baskets so when we reached the registers, all we had to do was pay, NICE! Absolutely unprofessional! First time shopping at this location. Never again! First I called to check on a pick up order and a girl answered the phone and told me it took two days for that to go through so I cancelled. This was an order I placed for my new business I just started to bring income to my family due to Covid-19. I needed to mail out my orders today so I cancelled and purchases somewhere else at a higher price but what can I do. Then a few minutes later I get an email that it was ready for pick up. Great! I'll go get that and cancel this order i placed at a different store. I called and the same girl who did NOT Bother to even call the inventory department to check on my order tells me it was ready right when I called but since I cancelled it's too late. Okkkk.... fine whatever. It's cancelled. So I continued with plan b. THEN I get an email saying one item was cancelled and refunded due to not being in stock. So I called again confused but this time I asked for the manager which I found it her name is Donna because it was obvious the girl I spoke to the first two times was lazy and not wanting to do her job. So they put me on hold. I'm on hold over 10 minutes just to talk to Donna and I gave up and called again only for someone to answer and tell me that the manager Donna wants me to call her back in an hour or two because she's busy. Wow really??? You guys messed with my new business and held me back. Donna so unprofessional and rude. So in other words she was never going to answer my call and keep me on hold. Craft supplies!!! I love the weekly sales! I can always find something here to use for my scrapbooking needs. The only downside to this location is that their products are limited compared to other stores. Sometimes I need alpha stickers and there are only a few for me to select from because I would like pastel/colored stickers, but most of them are either black, white, or really bright colors. Most of the things here are limited as well, not just the stickers. There's nothing here that this place has that other locations does not. I just visit here whenever I'm in the area, but that does not mean that I like this place any less. They still have all the craft essentials that I need. There was a line today because there was a 50% off sale, but the line moved very fast and smoothly. All the cashiers were on duty and I didn't wait very long at all. I'm not a huge fan of Michaels, simply beause I feel their selection for quality painting supplies is lacking, but for simple crafts and baking goods it's a great place to visit. Compared to some of the other nearby craft shops, their selctions are limited (specifically their floral and Christmas decor), but they do have some gems if you're willing to take the time and find them. One thing that I dislike is that this location always seems to be overly busy when I'm there (after work in the evening time). This may be because of the time of year, or maybe it'sbecause they share a parking lot with a Costco and Best Buy, both stores that are always overwhelmingly busy. Be prepared to drive defensively and watch out for pedestrians in the parking lots, because they will be walking without paying attention to traffic. The checkout lanes are fast and efficient, and I do appreciate that aspect. One comment is that, the aisles are pretty narrow, so if you're pushing a shopping basket be careful not to hit anything on the sides. This is especially complicated when the store is busy with lots of shoppers. Michaels is a great place to visit if you're doing standard crafts, and their prices are decent. More room inside the store and a better selection would make for a better shopping experience, but in a pinch they're going to be great. read more

Talk about FANTASTIC customer service. I was doing a project that I waited until the last minute to do and purchased a defective product. I came in the next day, explained that I just needed to exchange it for the exact same one, but was told that I would have to go through the actual company. I did not have the time to do this and was freaking out inside. The WONDERFUL manager went out of her way, exchanged the item and dealt with everything on her own. I cannot thank them enough. Fantastic customer service representatives willing to go far beyond our of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. I will frequent this store and encourage my friends to do the same. read more

Not being a Martha Stewart type, I infrequently venture into Michael's, but each time I do, it's a mess. Merchandise is all over. Seems like they're always changing out seasonal merchandise, so there's stuff everywhere. You cannot find any help on the floor. You have to hunt to find someone. The store doesn't seem that well organized. For example, artists' paints & supplies are on one side of the store. Craft paint & stencils are on the other side. How does that make sense? The young man checking me out must have been on probation or something and forced to work, because his attitude was a hair's breath away from rude. He clearly let you know he could care less about your business. Between the poor merchandising, rude help, and a marginal parking situation in a crowded shopping center close to Costco, I say just stay away. read more

I have never been so humiliated in my life & as a customer who shops at Michaels, regularly, I will be going to Joanns, Hobby Lobby and Amazon from now on. I came to this location and spent over an hour and a half looking for supplies for my boyfriends art classes, if you go to school, you understand supplies, especially art supplies are not cheap. Today they had an extra 50% off coupon. Before going to the register, I asked an employee named Nancy, if I could find another coupon since my boyfriends app was not working. She let me know I would be able to let the cashier ring them up separately in order to use the coupon multiple times, using my Michaels app and rewards. I thanked her and walked to the register. We waited to be checked out over 15 minutes because only one register was opened; understandable because it was 9pm and the store was closing. We didn't mind waiting, no one complained and when we went to check out, I asked the lady at the register if I would be able to do 4 separate transactions, she said no but began ringing everything out anyways. I actually thought she was joking since she began to ring everything out separately. 2 items were at a cheaper price at a competitor store and I asked if they priced matched, in all of the years I have shopped at Michaels I had no idea this was available, said she had no idea...and eventually called Nancy, which at this point I found out was the manager asking her about the price matching option. She priced matched the two items and at my last item she looked at me and said I should never do this again. I was a little taken back at her because 1. I asked before completing the transaction (twice and mind you, I went through a manager without even knowing she was the manager) & 2. I have never been so belittled by an employee, ever. I let her know at that moment that what she said was extremely rude and she began to let me know I was holding up the line and that what I was doing was against policy. If it was against policy, why was I told by a manager it could be done?! And if you had an issue, as an employee, you should have brought it up to the managers attention instead of mistreating the customer, in front of other people who were standing in line. I asked for the manager and when Nancy approached the counter the employee (who is an elderly lady and I unfortunately did not ask for her name) let the manager know that she "politely told me what I was doing was incorrect." I don't care if you whispered it, if you "politely said something", or if you screamed in my face, you do not treat a customer that way; if you were tired, mad about something or you were that miserable, taking it out on a customer was not the way to go about your frustration. I was just as tired and had a lot more patience while she took over 15 minutes to ring out 3 customers. When this employee let Nancy know she "politely told me to never do it again", Nancy let me know it was against policy, which confused me even more and like I asked her, why would she say it was okay? Nancy looked at the employee and apologized TO HER letting her know she told me I would be able to complete my transactions this way. I was humiliated that I was treated like a crazy employee, who held up lines, did things she wasn't supposed to and I left a store feeling like I had done something unexplainably wrong and like I had stolen time and money from a company. The way I was treated as a loyal Michaels customer, is beyond upsetting and I will never be going back to Michaels, especially not this location. I will also be contacting their corporate offices to make them aware of the way their employees and their managers treat customers, clearly they all need a lesson on good customer service. read more

I brought in a very old watercolor painting on a Saturday. It needed to have the glass replaced. Erin took my order. There were a few specific things I asked her to do, and she did all of them. I ordered the nicer non-glare glass, and I'm so glad I did. I got an email Monday letting me know it was ready. Erin did a great job and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend her.
