This is my go to place for craft and decorating supplies. The store is convenient with plenty of parking. Generally this location is not crowded and has what I am looking for. The aisles are neat and the store is clean. I joined their "club" to receive email specials and sale notifications. I get about 2 emails/weeks. The 50 percent off coupons are great for regular priced merchandise. You can get some great deals after holidays on clearance merchandise. They carry art supplies, jewelry supplies, wedding supplies, 4 aisles of scrapbooking supplies, yarn, seasonal decor and much, much more. I have had a couple of pictures framed by their framing department and they do a good job. Framing is usually 50 percent off. The clerks vary from very helpful to less than helpful depending on the day. Michaels is a chain with an online presence. read more

Brought my two nieces to do the Sunday kids craft & the two LAZY, prejudice co workers looked at us like we had mud on our faces as they & a few of their waaaay over (child) 12 years of age friends were crafting on one of the two tables available. Not only did they not greet us as we walked over to the crafting area, they ignored us, while looking straight at my face when I asked if there was a craft for the kids. I asked again and they BOTH shook their heads no & in their craft attire, stated that the craft had ended at 4pm. It was 2:45pm. I then informed manager on duty, was given no compensation, did offer an apology and no hint of what would be done towards this situation. As most of you know you can find just about anything you need for your crafty adventures in this store. A lot of good sales and discounts for those of us that like a bargain. Regular coupons help with this also, so I subscribe to their e-mails. The store is generally clean and well organized. And in the days of Social Distancing the order on line and pick up at the store feature is particularly helpful. Works like a charm. My 3-star rating is mostly based on the staff , because that is just such a hit and miss roller coaster ride, I can't even begin to describe it. I had my diploma framed here through the framing department this summer and was absolutely satisfied with the end result. The framing staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The only thing I wish they could have done was have writing stamped on the inside border frame but they are unable to do that. I also go to Michael's for any craft supplies or sometimes decor I need. Recently I've checked out their fall decor and Halloween decorations. They have such a wide variety and it's all on sale! Michael's seems to always have things on sale before the appropriate season or holiday. But sometimes items are unorganized around the store or hard to find. This is my go-to place for random craft supplies and craft kits and art supplies for kids. Need a bag of google eyes? Chenille stems? Pom poms? Silver cord to hang homemade Christmas ornaments? They've got it! I was just here to get some items to decorate my door at work, a few gifts and odds and ends. The Christmas inventory was kind of in what used to be a post-Christmas state; kind of picked over but with deep discounts on what was left. They do have a good range of decent quality craft supplies, but...it is a bear to find anything. The signs on the aisles do not match with what is in them. The aisle marked mosaic and leather working had artificial flowers in it. It took me an hour to find the items I needed. I didn't see anyone around to ask for help, so just did a grid search of the store until I found what I needed -slow, but eventually effective. read more

I recently found myself running to every Michael's store in the Indy metro area looking for a specific item, so this review should serve to compare those 6 locations. This location seemed a bit smaller than the other stores, but also had a slightly different selection than the others--or at least was laid out in a way that it felt like it was. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful at this location, it feel like a blast from the past - especially being located to Books-A-Million, which I did not know was still running. Really impressed with this store, but if you're looking for something specific you may need to venture elsewhere. Definitely worth stopping in here though. read more

I'm not a crafty person and really jealous of people who can turn tin cans, fabric, and paper into a Michelangelo. Seems like this place has seasonal bits and bobs and anything craft related. So much stuff here that I'm overwhelmed and dunno where to start looking. However, luckily the staff is friendly and helpful and the isles clearly labeled with their content. I was hopelessly looking for origami paper one time and this dude miraculously whips out a binder to tell me exactly where to find it. Thumbs way up for organization. Bigger retail stores may have cheaper items but they might not have what you're looking for or have things as cute as Michaels. Sometimes you don't even know what you're looking for until you come across it in the store, such as a handy dandy organizer. I don't know how the staff deal with so many rude and disrespectful customers. Not only are they rude and disrespectful to the staff, but they're also rude and disrespectful to other customers in the store and in the parking lot. I cannot believe the amount of blatantly rude and hateful people I have seen in one single store. It's appalling. Love the sales this art store runs on some of the necessities I need as an artist! I have saved $100s with their canvas an d oil paint sales. Easy to get to and the store isn't ever too busy. Makes for a pleasant browsing experience when your in the creative mood searching out tools and supplies for your next project. Be sure to sign up for their app and email so you can stay on top of the sales and events they have to get everything you need! Michaels has been my go to store for crafts and Christmas decorations and whenever I have a creative DIY activity. I don't know anyone that does not like Michaels. Everything is in this store. I promise I have never had a time that I needed a squiddly doohickey and they did not have it. Lol Their prices are great and you can sign up for email deals. The store is packed with so much that you find yourself browsing for one thing and leaving with 50 other items! Whenever the creative juices flow or a coupon heads my way, I'm all over this store looking for cheap craft materials. They have loads of great supplies and sales. I try not to evert buy anything over $6 at full price. There's loads of coupons for Michaels! Did I mention they have sales like every day? OK, just checking. My craft both setup is mainly from materials found on sale or with coupons. Always check for sales the week after a holiday. Lots of cheap thrills! Everything from breads to paints to floral. Everything is on sale eventually, so hold out for that expensive wishlist item. Get it when its goes on sale. Btw, all the coupons are on their mobile website and their app. Forget those silly paper coupons that get mangled up in your purse. Just pull out your phone and they can scan the coupon barcode from your phone. Life is so crafty and clever. read more

I like Michael's, despite the fact that I can usually find any item somewhere else for less. The bonus of Michael's is that if you want that one item RIGHT NOW you can pay a little extra and go home with it. Instant gratification is sometimes priceless, you know? The down side to this location is that they always seem understaffed at the registers- if you go at the magic time between groups of people checking out, you're probably good to go... but I always seem to be ready to check out at the same time as 12 others, leaving us all to wait in a weird line that's like waiting for an amusement park ride. Really? You need to control the line that much? Does it really get that out of hand? I don't want to know, actually. One thing I just found out is that they DO sell individual Sharpie markers of varying sizes- (despite what I'd been told in the past)- but they are not in any spot in the store that would make sense, so listen up: they are in front of the registers in the corner by the office. So good news, there is so much stuff here. Bad news, there is SO much stuff in this store....and it's completely disorganized and chaotic. I came into the store to look for an item that I found online and said it was also in stock in this store. After roaming the aisles for some time and not finding the item, I asked a salesperson where I might be able to find it... and they had no idea. So I proceeded to ask another, and another, and another and still, no luck. Eventually I had to ask for the manager, and with a bit of huffs and puffs he finally located the item. Overall it just seemed as though the employees had no handle on the organization of the store. I was rather put off by the managers disposition and attitude. I think I'll steer clear of this spot in the future and try to store on E 86th Street. read more

Late November I went looking for my Christmas crafts - all I found were frustrated people looking at the bare leftovers. I asked the lady working if they are going to be getting more in - she said they are going into Mardi Gras and told me the Christmas items were in, in September!!!! Michaels needs to know who their customers are! Not everyone is a youtube crafter or a craft vendor. The majority are regular customers that when the RIGHT season comes are looking to do some of these projects and nothing is there. VERY disappointing - I went elsewhere. They lost a lot of customers from the frustration I saw when there. read more

I love going shopping at Michaels with my toddler. He loves looking at all the flowers and trees. We just recently went there to pick out some new Easter baskets. My son also picked out a great shark book to read. I also love that they have a coupon typically in the Zoobook for a discount off of a single regular priced item.
