Had everything I went in for and much more for my next visit! Clean and organized! Free 2 hour parking garage can't complain about that!

Our family has a arts and crafts habit. We used to go here at least once a week. It's a clean store but the prices are high and the employees are not great. We have started to go to stores further away because almost every time we visit there will be three or four employees sitting down at the end of the counter chatting while one person handles a line of people waiting to check out. That can take 20 minutes or more some times. It's agonizing. If the store could get this under control I'd give them more stars, otherwise they get points for location and cleanliness, not much else. read more

Very slow and rude customer service. A line was building. Guy offered to check me out. I asked him for something that was only available behind the counter, he handed it to me and instead of continuing to check me out he walked off. I continued to wait there. He came back along with other employees and they all just stood there talking as one girl checked out people who were in line. Finally one female employee hopped in the register to help out. This Michael's is large and has a great selection of stuff. I actually was pleasantly surprised by the customer service... found a few very helpful employees and the line went quickly even though it was just days before Christmas. The Michael's in Glendale is staffed by dead eyed zombies so this will be my new go-to store. The only downside is the WORST parking garage west of the Mississippi. So poorly designed AND the spaces are mostly marked "compact" and will basically accommodate mini-coopers and smart cars. Go straight to the roof, as one previous reviewer said. read more

There needs to be a improvement on customer service. I called and asked if they sold large fake plants. The lady on the phone said yes. I make the drive and find out they do not. I asked a lady I saw leave an office (not very friendly) and she flat out told me they did not have any. So they either lied to get customers in the store or they do not know their inventory and do not care to check. I had two ladies do the cashiering, that were not that friendly. One even just stared me in the eye for some reason. Then after giving me the receipt, one bumped the other and they looked at each other and tried not to laugh. I don't know what that was about but it gave me a bad impression. The one saving grace was a gentleman that tried to help me with a different request. I have noticed similar issues with other Michael's and don't feel comfortable in their stores. I figured after a few years and a different state, I'll give them a try again. But either they do not like other races or they do not like to provide good customer service. read more

Michaels has a lot of supplies for beginning bakers and many one things. I honestly recommend Michaels as your go to craft store. Though sometimes can be pricey, Michaels always has what you need. May it be some glue or paint. Or even baking supplies and in the moment crafts. You need anything(other than food) you can come here read more

So happy this place opened up - its conveniently located on the West side, there is a large parking structure, and there is a good selection of items. The only down side, the way they designed the store/ the layout made things difficult to find. The flowers for example were in 3 different places... I was looking for daisies for a costume and I found a bunch, then found another section with better daisies, and then ANOTHER section with additional flowers. Better check other places for fair prices. I was recently shopping here and noticed that the Gamvar 8.5oz was selling for $29.99. I checked their website and it was even higher priced at $34.99. This is for a product that sell at $23.99 msrp. I found other store that sells the same product for less than $15. Why such price hike? The organization of the items at this Michael's location is superb. Its really clean and neat. I'm assuming that its clean and neat because it just had its grand opening but I'm not complaining! One thing that I found difficult was getting some help! It seemed like there were 4 people at the register when there was no line and 2 people running the floor (one was new so didn't really know what was going on). So basically there was one experienced staff on the floor. Although this place is new, big, and whatever... it doesn't do this place justice if there is no one to help the customers. I hope that when I'm back they will have more people to meet customers needs out on the floor rather than hiding behind the cash register. read more

Came here with my daughter to get our materials for a few crafts we wanted to make. Custom candles (wax, wicks, glass candle holders and crayons) and cool homemade confetti bowls made with ballons, modge podge, confetti and a vase. Well sadly, Michaels had ballons, modge podge and vases but they had no crayons and no confetti, wicks or wax. I couldn't believe it! Customer service wasn't the greatest either. Great selection, but the worst customer service. The employees on the floor were rude and unhelpful - first telling me that they had no containers with lids, and then when specifically asked about mason jars, saying "those are in the back of the store". The "back of the store" is a pretty big place...and they weren't even located there. It would have been nice if he could have showed me where they were, or at least provided some accurate guidance. In case you want to know - they are in an aisle in the middle of the store, near the center walkway by the ribbon. read more

Good sale prices. They aren't rude when you return something that isn't working right. Ok staff. Plenty of them walking around. I asked a staff member to help me find a Christmas tree and she said they were all out. I ended up finding it myself stashed in a corner somewhere else in the store. I asked another staff member if they had other ornaments in the back and he had headphones on listening to music and he made sure I knew I was interrupting him because he rolled his eyes. Lines can be long but they go quick. They have everything you need here for holiday occasions to stuff you don't need. I hate to give bad reviews but some of the employees at this store deserve it. I work close by and I'm so happy Michaels is here but they really need to train their employees on customer service. The manger she always looks in a bad mood. There's another guy names Alexander I think he may be a manger too he has a big attitude. You can never get a smile out of him no matter how nice anyone talks to him. I have asked him for help many times and I've seen other customers ask for help and he looks mad, annoyed. Very very rude customer service/cashier. I ordered online around 1pm to have it picked up. I called around 2pm to ask how long does it usually take to have the items picked up after ordering it. They told me BETWEEN 2 HOURS. At past 3:28pm I called again to verify if my items were ready. The guy told me that they are still working on it and that they will email me once it's ready. I asked how long should I wait because I need to be somewhere by 5pm. Then he started sounding rude and told me I wasnt listening! I was still calm at this point. I mean, I understand that a store can be busy so I asked if it is possible to go there and pick up the items myself from the aisle and have it processed on their customer service - before I could even finish my sentence, the rude person hang up on me. I was mad at this point for and i called to ask for his manager. He said his manager was busy and I asked for the managers name. He said it was christopher. I asked for his name and he placed me on hold. I decided to drive to their store and I was still on hold when I got there! They processed my order when I came in and told me that one of the items were out of stock and asked me if I wanted a replacement for the white balloons. I told them I'd take the teal ones. I was told okay - and then gave me a receipt. No replacements whatsoever! I think I'm the one who is supposed to tell them that they are not listening! read more

So the store is really nice and organized however no staff on floor to help me. I had to search for help. Also I called ahead for special product but when I got there the product was the wrong size because the stupid person made a mistake about the size seriously learn your inventory especially when you pull it off shelf for me. Yes, they have plenty of parking, but I always get lost here. The store is very nice and clean, although it is hard to find things. I just took two trips around the store to see what they had and I eventually found what I was looking for. Also the wait in line was a little long, but my cashier was really nice, so I just let that fly. Wish they had more of a selection of things to do embroidery with, I found plenty of the thread, but I thought it odd that they only carried small to medium projects to do. Finally got to visit the new location and it was light and bright. It didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but did have a decent selection. The staff was very helpful when I asked for assistance, but I had to take off a star because I needed something specific and was told they had it when I called before coming. When I arrived I realized they were mistaken, but I did like the selection and the store itself. Parking was easy, even though they are on the top level. I parked on the 2nd level and took the escalator up, but next time I'll go up the 3rd level so I can walk right in. They have their holiday items up but I was short on time and unable to really look at the stock. I look forward to going back when I have more free time to shop. read more

tonight I was attending a knitting/crochet class by Pina. A cleaning person would not stop spraying caustic fluid to clean. Pina went to Alex the manager and he was rude. Finally after a second request the cleaning person left. I had to leave because of nausea and a severe headache. Paying $25 for a class with conditions like this at the Olympic store. MIchaels is a great crafts store as i told you in my other reviews have some hobbies, one is art. Art for me is full of lots of fun and it is very entertaining. The selections of crayons are very vast and I have found a new favorite color due to their vast inventory of colors for sale. read more

Perfect place to shop for all your holiday needs. They have a wide variety of items that are colorful and cheery. The store is conveniently located on Sawtelle. The store seems well managed and the staff do a great job of answering questions. They also do a terrific job on custom framing. I have had three photos framed here and the staff made all the difference. They helped find the best matting to match the colors in the photo. read more
