I order pizzas from here all the time. Good pizza, consistent quality. I will continue to order from Michael's.

The pizza tastes and smells gross, and it makes me and my family sick every time we order it. It's extremely greasy. I even tried the chicken tenders, but they were just cheap freezer food chicken tenders. I tried the baked mostaciolli, but the sauce and cheese were exactly the same as the pizza. read more

Very average pizza, nothing special. We tried it when we moved into Plainfield 6 years ago and have never been back.

This is only Take-Out & Delivery. Out of this Michael's, and the ones in Plainfield and Bolingbrook, this one has the best food. The others do not put enough sauce, and the pizza just isn't made as well in my opinion. I do not care for their thin crust at all, but their deep dish is good. For the price, it's good I'll say. You can get a large one for around $15 with 1 topping, unless they raised the prices. Their sauce to me did seem a little sweet, but with a little spice too......but I only noticed the spice in the deep dish, so maybe they add different spices to it on top. I've had their meatball and beef sandwiches, which were pretty good. If you're looking for something a little better than Domino's or Papa John's, this would probably be it as far as their deep dish. I've tried the BBQ chicken thin crust, and to me, the chicken was of terrible quality and was not good at all. I'd prefer the BBQ at Papa John's. I once ordered some deep dishes with one topping or just cheese for some friends who helped me move, and they liked it. They actually ate too much not realizing it was more filling than the size of pizza at a Domino's or Papa John's. LOL Again, not authentic or wonderful or anything, but decent for the price. read more

I've been going to Michaels Pizza since I moved here in the 90's.............and I've had it with them. On a scale of 0 to 10, their customer service has always been a ZERO. However, their food was always 8-10, so I put up with the incredibly rude people who answer the phone, and the horrible attitudes every time I've come in the hundreds of times over the years. Now their food sucks and their service is still a big fat ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone who works there obviously hates their job, they all look absolutely miserable every time I come to pick up food. And the few times I gave extra money for the tip....the nasty girl who works there threw it in her paper cup like it was an insult. They have screwed up my order the last 4 times now........and its the simplest order ever!!!!!!!!!!! I get a meatball sub with cheese..........thats it!!!!!!!! And I got home and there was no cheese on it. I'm done with this place and their awful employees. Also, they handle their food with pliers instead of tongs. Last time I was there I saw the guy use the pliers for non-food things then pick my meatballs up with it. And while he was using the unsanitary pliers, he was talking to another employee while swearing and talking about "what a ***** his girlfriend was"............and then he stuck his finger in my sandwich to move the meatballs around without gloves. Also, they lie about what time they open and close. They open and close whenever they feel like it!!! And if you dare order food within an hour of opening or an hour of closing..........you better believe the food will be cold and they will give it to you with 100% attitude. Thanks for the years of stress and worst customer service I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with ps try saying you want "carryout" instead of "pickup". I have tried this experiment many times because when I say carryout....they get extremely agitated and yell "YOU MEAN PICKUP???". Ive never understood this over the years but just part of the horrible attitudes and horrible people who work here. read more

We love getting Michael's pizza at the ballpark during softball season. It's almost our favorite part of the game! :)

I look forward to pizza night every week from Michael's Pizza. I used to order from the Romeoville location but moved and I'm so glad the Joliet location delivers to me. The service is always friendly and prompt. The pizza is always consistently delicious. I love the Firestarter and the stuffed pizza. The boneless wings are really good too. Delicious! I ordered an original crust pizza. Their italian beef topping is great! Not too greasy, just enough cheese, holds together well sauce was a perfect amount & a tasty zest to it. Delivery was earlier than expected also. Definitely going to order from here again. Worth the money! :) read more

I love the food and the staff are very friendly. Hand made pizzas instead of mass produced products every pizza is made fresh to order. The chicken fingers are great and my daughter loves them. The chicken parmesan and Italian beef and cheese sandwiches are also delicious. read more

It's been awhile since we ordered from Michael's. We used to order every week but the quality started to slip. 20 coupons was the goal with a free or extra pizza when we were feeding our family. The pizza has went downhill over the last few years and after our last pizza a few days ago I am sorry to say you have finally lost our business, it was a greasy mess and I refuse to pay for another thing from your store. If you order pizza from this place with high expectations, I can assure that you will be disappointed. The pizza from Michaels is nothing to talk your head off about, at least not for a good reason. I can use one word to describe their pizza and that word is "mediocre". There's not anything special about it. It's your typical greasy, all cheese, no sauce pizza joint that sells it for a cheap price. I've been a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for" and it applies to this review/pizza joint perfectly. I do like to support a family owned restaurant rather than a chain, which was my reasoning for ordering from Michaels in the first place. I had only eaten food from this place as a kid therefore I had no clue what it would be like now. I figured that since it was still in business all this time and had other restaurant locations open that it had to be good for something, which it is; they do make a decent pizza. I'm not bashing this place at all, but I am also not praising it. At best, their pie is mediocre. That's all that I can say about it. If you're fine with that and not a foodie, then order from this place. I realize everyone has different tastes; this place didn't satisfy mine. I will be ordering elsewhere next time I have a craving for pizza though. read more

Hate the sweet sauce and super, super greasy. I've tried it a few times but haven't been back in years.

I love the pizza, sausage cheese and anchovies is the best. Also the daily specials are so good and on wed they have baked mostacolli for 3.99 its a big container of it with garlic bread best ever and love the sauce A+++++ place great staff and full menu. Very clean place love it read more

I stopped ordering from this location 2 years ago. 3 pizzas in a row were not cooked completely. I gave them several tries as I have been eating here since I was a kid (originally the Romeoville location). The pizza is really bad now. The sandwiches are not good anymore either. It is too bad. Not sure how good or bad this Pizza is going to be yet however, calling in and the lady who answered the phone leaves a lot to be desired in regards to manners and customer service. When I asked her to talk slower because she sounded like an auctioneer she said well I'm sorry I have other things I have to do. If the way she speaks to customers is the way the food tastes or lines up with the way that the owner of this location conducts his day-to-day business I will never be back! Seriously, once you graduate Chucky Cheeses you might find this Pizza appealing, but if my memory is correct, Chuckys has the edge... This place added a drop of tobasco to the sauce.. I've lost faith in reviews, after this fiasco. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews on here? Perhaps those people were bribed or just don't know what they are talking about. My family and I have been ordering Michael's for years! It's the only pizza place we go to. And not just out of habit but because its simply the best around. If not just for the wonderful food but the outstanding staff. Each and every time I order from day one I have been treated like family. Any questions I have they are always kind and informed with their responses and they even keep track of my orders and give me personalized recommendations! How many other joints can you say do that!? If it weren't for that I would have never discovered the TUSCAN CHICKEN or the FIRESTARTER pizzas! My husband LOVES the firestarter! We get it every time, so much flavor its unlike any of its competitors. Not only that but they have kid's meals! Yeah, you heard me a pizza place with kids meals! Name one other place that does that.....I'll wait....... My boys absolutely love it! My youngest kids the kids hot dog meal and my oldest get his own personalized mini pizza! And even if we do not order kids meals (which is rare because like I said my boys love them) the staff always offers my sons a juice box when we come in to pick up our order. I love Michael's Pizza. And my family and I will continue to order. If you are looking for a family owned place to support that treats you like you too are family, with a great selection of food, and amazing speciality pizzas look no farther Michael's is it! read more
