The tags, my task, were just good fun. Lots of room to be creative and simple to complete without assistance. The passport covers were another story. The other 2 needed assistance a lot, especially during the stitching, which took quite a bit of time and was a tad hard on their hands. The employees were more than willing to provide the assistance they needed though. There were definitely a couple other crafts I would've enjoyed trying. Fabulous concept, pleasant employees, and a cool way to spend a few hours...especially for those of us very much out of our comfort zone.

I came in for this pad of special paper they carry, and ended up walking out with a dozen different items! They have a bit of everything there. It has the art supplies any student would need/want, lots of craft project supplies and ideas. They also had ink bottles from many great companies - I got a phosphorescent ink just for the fun of it. I have utilized the Beaverton location for all my framing, custom and non for decades. WOW - this store is so much larger than the one by me and has way more inventory so I am jealous for all my friends who live close by. I now know though that it is worth the drive or that I should drop in here. The name of the store IS Craft Warehouse but I actually rarely buy craft supplies. I happened to be nearby to see a movie and I have been needing to get four different frames for new art. I love wandering through a craft store though. Sometimes I find stuff (who am I kidding...usually I find A LOT of stuff) and sometimes I find ideas. I will say that the Craft Warehouse in Beaverton does seem to have a lot more creative ideas throughout done by employees with the different things they have for sale which I always find super inspiring. I have purchased so many things for home décor here. I have cats so having real indoor plants is rather challenging. Fake succulents are great and Craft Warehouse has some of the best ones at great prices. They have a lot of things I have not found at other craft stores.

This Barnes & Noble has the typical layout, although a bit smaller, which makes it easier for loyal customers to find their way around. Wide aisles, well stocked best sellers, summer reading, classics, puzzles - all the norms. There are no public restrooms. There is no Starbucks or Cafe. I'm fine with that since they are part of a large outside mall and there are plenty of food options all around. Needed assistance finding a few books and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Very convenient to have this new addition at Cascade Stations, another store to stop in while I'm running errands.

I love supporting local and wanted to take my teen for a pottery painting experience. The mugs we…read morewanted were all dirty, but we were assured the markings would burn off. At $40 it's a pricey mug! I understand it's not just the mug, but the paint, rent, kiln, staff expenses. But it meant we'd only be painting one item at that price. So we chatted happily while my teen painted the mug and I asked to color in a tiny heart on the side to fulfill my art craving. That tiny heart, using no additional supplies or brushes, cost me an additional $10. We used 2 colors, 2 brushes and required no guidance, but the final cost of the one mug, plus 2 studio fees (because I painted a tiny heart), without drinks, landed up being over $65! That's a little OTT, but it was a great memory with my teen. I hope the dirt on the mug actually does burn off- because at $65, I'd hope to have an unblemished lifelong memento.
