Straightforward Italian fare with a great group of locals posted up. Stopped in during the daytime on our way North. Fried Calamari Sicilian Style - Spicy red sauce & tossed with hot peppers was the go-to order since I can't find it that way down here in ATX. Kelly at the bar is what sets places apart, hospitality coupled with scrumptious food. The Perfect combo!

The escarole is fantastic (5/5) The meatballs are good (3/5) The place needs curtains to absorb the sound of people talking.Thank God there isn't any "boom boom boom" annoying music played which many places do that have no concept of what the addition of background dinner music could do for ambiance. The decibel torture would be 10x worse if they made that mistake. Service is pretty good 3/5. The salmon was very good 4/5 but it should have been with some delicious risotto instead of basically tasteless wild rice. It's an ok place to try once but I wouldn't go out of my way. Oh, the apple crisp dessert is actually very good.

We had such a great meal at Michael's Trattoria. Our waitress was the best. She was kind and helpful with suggestions. The food was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly! I don't know why it took me so long to discover this place. Can't wait to be back!

I don't usually dine in Wallingford because the town is NOT welcoming to outsiders who happen to be of a different hue than the majority that live there. When my friends who aren't from New Haven county told me they were eating there, I was very hesitant to join them. I actually did a quick prayer before I left because I didn't want us to have a bad experience because of what we looked like. I got there a little after them so they were already seated. When I walked in, the staff was very welcoming and pointed me to the back area where my friends were already seated. I noticed they had already ordered so I picked at their meal. They got the mozzarella sticks, egg plant pasta and something else (which I've forgotten). As soon as I tasted the mozzarella sticks, I immediately ordered my own, along with a martini. My appetizer came quickly and was so delicious, especially because it was hot! The drink was also really good and our waitress was personable and would chat us up when she came to our table. We had such a great time there and stayed for about 2 hours. I'm so happy we had a positive experience here. I can't wait to go back and have a real meal.

Wow! What a busy, bustling restaurant! We made reservations for the back room hoping it would be more intimate, but it was extremely loud! We could barely hear our conversation or our server. We needed a megaphone to talk, but we just kept repeating "what?" "Beg pardon?" over our table conversation. It was pretty cramped, the person's chair behind me kept bumping into mine, and the party of 6 next to us was obnoxious. Our server, Gabby, however, handled the mayhem with poise and grace. She was very attentive and efficient. She apologized for the confusion. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo which was unlike any I had ever had. That's my "go to" dish at Italian eateries! If you are expecting a creamy, white cheese sauce, think again. This interpretation had a Spicy reddish sauce with way too much paprika. Quite different than the traditional Alfredo. I ate a few bites, but left the majority of it untouched. I was thankful for the house salad to curb my appetite. The garlic bread helped, although it was average. My hubby ordered the chicken Marsala, which he found satisfactory, but he said the presentation was a bit unappealing and messy. The chicken was tender and the sauce was rich and flavorful with lots of mushrooms. We had lovey wines with our meals, he had a Malbec and I chose a Rosé. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake and the cannoli, which were the best part of the entire meal! We endured the meal through the noise, but this isn't the spot for a quiet, romantic dinner. They did have some outdoor seating as well. I'd mostly likely give Michael's another try and order some different entrees to see if our next experience is better!

Doesn't look like much when you drive by but this little gem is absolutely spectacular! From the atmosphere to the service to food and drinks--it could not have been any better! It was the best penne a la vodka I ever tasted and was just as delicious as leftovers! Lemon drop martini was perfectly made and went down way to easy. The waiter was attentive, funny and made great conversation. The owner even stopped by to be sure we were satisfied. Such a great spot. Can't wait to go back!!!

Service was good but food was just okay. The sauce tasted like watered down tomato paste.

We arrived early on, what I thought was off hours and ordered in person, the wait time was 4 hours. I don't live far so it was easy to come back. The dining area is tight and pretty basic, so plan on wooden bench in limited space if you are dining in. I would also recommend calling way in advance with your order. As far as pizza goes, I have had the opportunity to sample most of the high profile places and understand why this place deserves to be on the list. The crust is pretty fantastic and overall a really good pie. When we went, there was no line. The grab and go was super simple, cash only. Order ahead, plan accordingly, and enjoy.

Old fashioned decor with old pictures on the wall and well worn but sturdy wooden tables. Pizza was a 3.0. We think that it had too much sauce. We prefer a balance of sauce, cheese and crust. It had the taste of oregano, which we do not want on pizza. We prefer garlic in the taste to oregano. The price was reasonable and it was prepared in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm in town on a short business trip and made it a point to check out Fuoco Apizza after seeing it…read morefeatured on Barstool Pizza Review with Dave Portnoy--and I'm really glad I did because he was absolutely spot on. I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.
