These used to be $9.99 each and now they are $12.99 each in the store. We had seen them on the app as buy one for $4.99 online or in store get BOGO with price at $9.99. So we grabbed 2. I asked the manager filling balloons as we got the the self serve island of trust. You are your own cashier here. They don't want to pay cashiers. But anyways - there is a manager filling balloons. I ask if they will price match their own app and she says yes, and then pawned me off to another employee. Still fine. The price came up as $11.69 each on sale from $12.99. Then bOGO. But it's annoying you pay $1.69 more at this location than the app says it should be. I explained the coupon to the employee and suddenly the manager is interested. She says what is the deal again and I explained it again, it's directly from their app, and she's like is that a screenshot? I said yes because the Internet in here is terrible. She then says I need you to pull it up on the app. I'm like OK but your Internet's terrible so my wife does pulls it up on the app shows her exactly what the screenshot shows, where online the frame would be $4.99 in store. You have to buy two to buy them as a buy one get one for $9.99. I mean if you're gonna treat me like a criminal like I'm trying to steal $1.69 remember it's in a store with no cashiers where you're literally self servicing each of your items as your own employee because they don't wanna do it. I already hate Michael's now because their product qualities has gone way down and the prices have gone way up. I'll give an example as their picture frames. The hardware and backing on them is the lowest quality and typically will break off and is not even really on. It's kind of glued or haphazard attached to whatever you're inserting into the back of the frame. This location does so poor that they still have a ton of Christmas stuff on mega clearance. They can't get rid of because there's hardly anybody that shops here - the store is in disarray. It's gotten kind of dirty, even though it's not that old and it's just not fun to shop here. We hardly ever come here - we'd rather go to Hobby lobby. I said to the manager after we paid that people don't like it when the app has a cheaper price then online and then I try to explain it to her and she acts like I'm trying to get one over on them again for $1.69. I said I would leave it in my YELP review. They both actually laughed at me as I was leaving. Take note MICHAEL - there was like nine people in the store. It cannot be affordable to have people just not shop here anymore because your product qualities is low. Your stores are a mess. Your prices are high and your employees just aren't very nice and hardly any of them work there. Crafts are fun. Shopping at Michael's is not fun. A lot of craft items are supposed to be affordable cause you know - you're crafting - somebody should tell MICHAEL. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way because it's always empty. I really used to love Michael's back in the day. Not sure what happened. They've lost their way. Again, you tried to overcharge me $1.69 and then made me feel like I was trying to get one over on you all while I'm doing self checkout. maybe having a darn employee help somebody - silly. Oh, my God! This store was an absolute mess to shop in! Customers (many of which wearing absolutely no face masks or practicing social-distancing) were running amuck, frustrated over never finding an employee to help them locate items within the highly disorganized store is what you should expect if ever you desire to try patronizing this so-called business. I grew so frustrated over trying to locate items by myself throughout the store that I demanded to speak to a manager (who, at first, tried to simply point me in the direction of various items until I had to force her to SHOW me where to find them). The manager, short with a blonde and gray bob haircut, finally apologized for being "short-staffed" before she had to retrieve a device that helped even her locate the simplest items that I was looking for (ballpoint pens, gold and silver safety pins - which they were out of - etc.) Even checking out was an utter disappointment! I like this Michael's! Michael's is not exactly a store I have super high expectations for, to me they are always the same. I gotta say, I feel like I always have a hard time finding stuff, like I just don't always understand how they organize the store. I would suggest downloading the mobile app because they always have some type of coupon on there. They also generally print out a coupon at check-out for your next visit. Basically I wouldn't pay full price there or at least not go in without one coupon. The employees are always friendly enough. Often times they could use more people at the register since the lines tend to get long. They move through it as quick as they can. read more

Went to an interview here in November and was told I got the job. 3 follow up calls and weeks later i was reassured that I got the job and would be receiving an email soon. I was supposed to be hired seasonally for the winter holidays, and I never received that email or any other forms of contact. I've found no way of contacting the person who was supposed to hire me, so I am writing this review. I really wanted to work here. They store is pretty clean every time I have been but they do always seen to have isles of nothing. There's always specials going on and the staff is pretty friendly. I love Michael's. If you do beading, or jewelry, or just any type of crafts, this is the place to go. It's no different than say.... Ben Franklin's, or any of the other major craft places, but it's all about the selection. When there's a lot of stuff to choose from, you usually have a better time. I usually am a huge fan of Michaels as I have to shop at a craft store every week for my business. Today in particular I went into purchase tshirts for my business but before ringing the shirts up I asked the cashier were the shirt acceptable using the $20 off if you spent $75 coupon I received in my email.... she said yes and ring up my shirts in the end she tried to be slick and used the 20% off coupon without telling me she called another worker over to access my coupon and that worker told me I will get my $20 later which makes no sense. I ended up paying for the entire total BUT WHATS MOST DISAPPOINTING IS THAT NEITHER CASHIER OR MANAGER RESPONDED WITH AN APOLOGY FOR FIVING ME WRONG INFORMATION, waiting my time and having me spend $26 MORE DOLLARS THAN I WAS PLANNING. I am so disappointed may never shop there cause I'm all about customer service and that completely sucked. Tonight we were standing on the checkout line about to make a purchase. An older female cashier with long salt & pepper colored dreadlocks yelled at a male worker about making sure to ask people for change/coins, and he politely said okay, then she yelled and repeated herself at least 2 more times, almost trying to humiliate him! We felt so bad for him! He seemed so stressed out at her talking down to him, especially in front of all the customers! He walked away from his register to conduct another task, seemingly just to get away from her. We then had to go to her register and she was absolutely cranky and fairly rude to us (even to the female customer before us)! She rang 1/2 of our order up, told us a total, and when we advised there were still 3 items she had to ring up, she dramatically huffed and puffed, even took a plastic bag and angrily threw it at her register! What in the world?!? She was less than friendly, almost making it clear that she did Not want to work & was confusingly outwardly angry at something we don't know! So weird! My wife and I kept looking at each other and shrugging as she continued to pout at nearly everything! When we paid and walked away, she continued pouting at... nothing at all! This was a very disturbing visit, and we still feel bad for that younger male cashier she belittled in front of everyone!! Overall experience here is always great, but the female cashier with the salt & pepper dreadlocks will surely cause many not to return because of her rude attitude! I received terrible customer service today from an Asian man with long hair that claimed his name was "John Carlo" I ordered curb side service hours before I arrive stand in line as the second person when I told this cashier I was here for order pick up he made me stand to the side while he assisted the entire line after me. Making me feel like buying online wasted me way more time standing in the front of the store than it would have to go around and get my own things at least the the cashier would have rang me out in my turn. I love making crafts, decorating and gifts by hand so I always find my way to Michaels somehow! I love that they change seasonal items and each year and each visit is a little different. It can be sometimes too many things in one place and hard to get through aisles. Today I was hunting ideas for fall and also Halloween, and I couldn't stop loving each thing I saw! They had a whole section dedicated to breast cancer this time too! They also offer coupons online and being able to scan your phone is great in case you don't print them! I love the art supplies especially because I always find unique items and paints as well as mediums to use so I don't repeat the same thing! The baking items and tools are nice too because even an at-home baker can make a delightful dessert and it look amazing! The only issue I seem to have every time is a long line to check out! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Awful customer service from top to bottom. No one available to help in the store, several other customers and myself wandered around forever looking for an associate. Then the line was ridiculously long and the associates seemed totally unconcerned and spaced out. One associate was rude and snarky as I tried to return some paint we just purchased from them. I had lost the receipt but expected an exchange due to the product being faulty. Even the manager was rude and unconcerned when I told them they had lost a repeat and constant customer due to their attitudes and unwillingness to honor their own policies. . She just said "that's fine". I am shocked! I wouldn't go back here if you paid me. On my way out of the store, a woman who had overheard my interaction with the rude manager commented that she also isn't returning as that is usually the level of service this location offers. read more

This Michaels is very clean and well-laid out. I went in looking for foam core, and the salesman led me right to it. There are always coupons online, so you should check those out before going into the store. They have the ability to scan the coupons on your smartphone, which is really cool. read more

They have such a great selection of items. There have been very few times I wasn't able to find what I needed. And when I couldn't there was a salesperson who was helpful and friendly. Today I was looking for items for my cousins baby shower. They had exactly what I needed for a great price and even offered me a coupon. By the way, the coupon always comes off of the most expensive item and not the least expensive as most stores. I didn't realize that until the cashier pointed it out. That's awesome!! read more
