Their french manicures rock because they do them by hand, for pedicures as well. They always remember your name and their prices are competitive. The salon is very CLEAN. They never rush or pressure you and are very polite and calm, so you can just chill and zone out... or talk to people if you like... The environment is decorated simple but sweet and it has a boutique feel which gives it a personal touch. Highly recommend. After a horrid set of nails from another salon, I was searching for a new place, and came across Michelle's salon. Lindsay gave me one of the best pink & white sets I've ever had! She was speedy, thorough, listened to exactly what I wanted, and delivered flawlessly. The nails are perfect, and the mini massage while the gel top coat dried was exactly what I needed. The price was as I expected ($40 for a new set). There's also plenty of 2 hour parking on the street. I'll be back again and again! read more

I love Michelle Nails. They are very accommodating with walkin appts and always do a great mani pedi . I was surprised to read the review about the salon being dirty, I haven't experienced that at Michelle's and I've been going there for several years. They do use a plastic tub to dispose of the polisher remover pads but that's so the unpleasant smell doesn't permeate the salon. Great salon, awesome techs in my experience, read more

I was in a hurry and couldn't get into my usual salon so popped into Michele's - there were 3 nail tech's and no other customers. I my technician to please push back not cut cuticles but she proceeded to cut cuticles anyway. I told her I was a bit rushed for time and had to be in and out in 45 minutes but she kept going back and cutting more bits of cuticle off until I had to stop her and say please put the polish on now because I have to leave. The overall appearance of the salon is old and untidy - stained towels, poor color selection - and didn't have the appearance of being clean. I won't be back. read more

I know I have short nails. I am very well aware of that fact. But they're definitely not as short as they could be, and I've had countless other manicures and it's been a non-issue. I'm not sure who did my nails today (didn't tell me her name) but I received the wost manicure I've ever had. 1) Sloppy - She didn't clean up all of my old polish, and I have left-over smudges around my nails. 2) fast - She didn't even file my nails! By the time my friend (who was in there at the same time as me) was getting up to wash her hands, my manicure was already done. No time or care was taken. 3) Rude - Continually commenting on how short my nails were, she even WALKED OVER TO MY FRIEND and told her how short my nails were. Keep in mind, there were 3 and 4 year olds getting manicures and pedicures. Their nails are smaller than mine, and I never heard one comment about them. I will not be returning to Michelle's Nails, and I will make sure everyone else I know goes to a different salon in Winchester. $12 for a manicure just isn't worth the lack of service and unprofessionalism that you get. read more

Lee is great. She is quick and efficient. The place is filthy. I put my hand on the back of the chair and it was gross. They use these towels over and over to do their manicures. The owner really needs to have a good cleanng. read more

I got a French mani/pedi here and was pleased. They took me as a walk in, no problem, and were pleasant and nice. Not too chatty (which I like), just got down to business but not in a rushed way. I love the way they shaped my nails and I am usually very particular about that. They cut them and shaped them perfectly with a nail file (perfectly round and smooth). The work on the French mani/pedi was really good, one of the best I've ever had. The manicure seems to have lasted about 1 day longer than when I get it done in other salons. Price was $45 total. Downsides? - they don't have great chairs for the spa pedicure (cheap and not very comfortable, and the massage settings were not very good). Foot and hand massages were nothing special, though they did do some interesting calf muscle pounding. Overall, I think it's a good place and will definitely go back. read more

I was in the area and figured I'd try it since my toes were in need of a pedicure. To be honest, I'd skip the place. The woman who was helping me scrubbed the side of my big toe so hard she broke the skin and I had to pull my foot away thinking wtf? No apology. The polish was fine, a little sloppy, as when I got home I noticed a few places she could have easily removed the smudges. I don't know why, but I did tip her, I'm weak and a sucker. She didn't even say thank you. All in all, I'll skip the convenience next time and stick to the place I normally go who treat me well. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Michelle's. I love Lee! She's the sweetest and definitely most talented employee at the salon. I have been going there for almost 5 years and they are very accommodating and pleasant and seem to have a personal relationship with their customers. read more

My friend and I went to Michelle's after a snowstorm for a mani/pedi and the staff was very nice and accommodating considering the weather and time of day (about 90min to closing). The facility was clean, the girls were nice and they even re-did toenail polish (no charge) for a customer's bratty kid who smudged her pedicure while running around. They are cash or check only and the mani/pedi was only $35. read more

Very dirty establishment. They do not clean foot soaking tubs between customers-something I wished I had learned before I had a pedicure. They additionally don't clean any of the instruments they use instead dumping them into a plastic tub they use for storage next to the pedicure chairs. They made a big show of getting the instruments out of an unplugged "autoclave". I was rushed out when a regular came in and has to ask that my manicure even get a top coat. It has only been 6 hours and my nail polish is already chipping. I will never return. read more

I have been going here for years. Lee (not sure if I spelled her name right) does an excellent gel and acrylic fill and perfect pedicure and she is so quick. I have tried other places but keep coming back to Michelle's Nails. Everyone else is great too but I usually see Lee if I can. Everyone that I recommended her to agrees. read more
