I'm a business owner in Cranston and called to have oil delivered to my location and the lady that answered the phone is got to be the most miserable person on the earth she was very very rude and hung up on me before I could respond. This business literally suck don't waste your time. I'd rather pay more for oil than give this business my money. If that lady worked for my business I would personally walk her ass off my property. If I could give them zero stars I would. Do not use Micheletti Oil, please spare yourselves and contact a decent company that appreciates its long term customers! The woman they have answering the phone who I believe is a relative of theirs is so rude. I put up with her rudeness for 10 years and now I deeply regret it. Today I called to order oil and some man in the background who I believe was the owner was saying I was "using" them because I haven't ordered oil since April. The miserable old woman who answers the phone there kept repeating "we don't operate like that" and other stuff that made zero sense to me every time I tried to get a word in to say I now have an electric mini split and use oil as a secondary source of heat and that is why I haven't ordered oil since April. She talked over me the entire time I was on the phone. Talking about other companies and servicing, I have no idea what she was talking about, maybe she is going senile. She refused to place an order of oil for me and told me to try to call elsewhere but good luck, Good luck? WTF. I did a google search called Vaughn Oil, and in five minutes scheduled an oil delivery. Shout out to Vaughn oil company! Give them a call! Excellent customer service from them, the woman who answered the phone to take my order at Vaughn was so nice to me and courteous and professional, what a breath of fresh air after putting up with the nasty woman at Micheletti for 10 years, the representative at Vaughn put me down as having oil as a secondary source of heat, took my credit card info and a delivery of oil is coming to my house tomorrow which was a NO BRAINER. Imagine that Micheletti Oil, seems they could not comprehend something so simple. Micheletti Oil company is run by incompetent bad businessmen with an ignorant, nasty, unprofessional woman answering the phone to take your order. I guess they hate their customers. What a bizarre way to run a business! Give your money to another oil company please, one that will treat you with simple common courtesy and appreciates your business. The only thing that was good about Micheletti is they are close to my home and would deliver small orders of oil for me to fit within my budget at the time. But you can get that elsewhere as well without dealing with nastiness and disrespect. I have always kept a zero balance with this company and was a customer for 10 years and was treated so disrespectfully this morning. Also, as a side note the owner sent his son to my home years ago to repair my boiler and the son told his father my ex-husband was rude to him, WAH!!!, which I had NOTHING to do with and I wasn't there to even witness this, so I don't even know if it was true. I had to apologize and answer for that for about a year whenever I spoke to the owner. Very bad businessmen, stay clear of them! read more

The good news about the internet is that you can share information with thousands of people in a seconds. What's great about Providence is that it's a small city, full of opinionated people with big mouths. Word of mouth goes a long way here, I often trust my friends/family's opinions about the companies they choose to deal for their utilities. When we moved into our apartment we were given a list of companies to contact for our utilities. This is the only reason we used this company in the first place. After two fill ups (over $300 each) that they had a lot of trouble finding evidence of, even with us holding the receipts and transaction numbers, we've had enough. The tanks were not ever actually filled all the way, the readings they gave us were inaccurate, and their customer service (if you can call it that) is atrocious. Yelper to Yelper, I would suggest you save yourself the trouble of dealing with this place. If i could give Micheletti Oil Service 0 stars I would. Oil is practically the same price everywhere in and around this city, get it anywhere else. read more

I have never been disappointed by Micheletti Oil. When oil needs to be delivered, it is done with quickness and courteous service from the office billing to the delivery men. As for my furnace repair and cleaning, again I must say I am happy every time with the service. They helped me out this past winter while I was away on vacation, my furnace wasn't working, I made a phone call to them and they repaired it. My neighbor who was watching the house for me was also impressed by their quickness to respond and the clean-up. I highly recommend them. read more

I bought my house in 1996. I've had some bad experiences with a few oil companies around the state. About 10 years ago I had run out of oil on a very cold night around 8 pm. I called my company that I have dealt with since I purchased my house and ran into a never ending cycle of answering services. So I scrambled through the yellow pages, panicking to find someone to help me as my house temperature was in the 40s. So after about a dozen messages left with answering services letting them know my emergency, Micheletti Oil called me back 10 minutes later and delivered an order within an hour! I HAD NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM AND I WAS NOT A CUSTOMER OF THEIRS! Since that cold night I have had nothing but good things to say about this business. Yes, the lady that answers the phone is not the nicest person, she's probably old school and that's just the way she is. GET OVER IT! Not every gas station you walk into you'll be greeted with a smile. Basically, I'll use this company as long as I'm burning oil. The drivers are great, they've helped me with priming my boiler and have performed services to it at no cost. So all the people bashing this company need to know what they're dealing with. You're ordering oil, that's all. For someone that expects great customer service when ordering oil, you're a joke and good luck elsewhere. read more

Maybe since this business is family owned and run, the receptionist feels she has no one to answer to, thus her being incredibly rude. I have never had oil heat in an apartment I've rented before and it's been nothing but trouble since day one. I called this business hoping to gain some insight and ask advice from someone that is more familiar with the oil system since we're their customers. Instead, she personally insulted and offended me and was incredibly nasty, short, and condescending. You'd think that if someone is giving you money, hand over fist, that maybe you could speak to them like an adult. She provided no helpful solutions or ideas, other than to call the landlord, who has told me time and time again to call the oil company for the answers I need, of which she gave me none. I work in a customer service job, so I know what it is like to work with the public. I also know what it's like to have a rude customer, so I go out of my way to be nice when being on the other side of the service. I would never personally insult someone that is giving you business. I look forward to speaking to her manager, finding another company to work with, and spreading the word about just how lovely the customer service is from that nasty, snappy woman. If I wanted to get snapped at like I was a child by someone like that, I'd go to Florida to visit my great Aunt Lena, knock over her expensive vase, and let the verbal lashing begin. read more

My family has been using Micheletti Oil for many years. They are good, fast and reliable. The have replaced 2 boilers out of 6 in 3 of our multi-family houses but that is only after everything else could have been done to repair them. They are fair and honest and I trust them. This place is no Good. I had called for Oil to be delivered while I was on vacation. They never delivered it and I never checked because I trusted them. This wasn't the first time this happened. One of the biggest snow storms we had last year and I ran out of Oil because they never delivered. I called them up and they wouldn't come to the house - even just enough to get us through. I let them know I had a sick person in the house and a child. I called a few other Oil companies and they also told me know because I wasn't a current customer- Why didn't my Oil Company that I gave so much business to (every three weeks) say that. They basically told me "OH WELL" I finally got in touch with a different Oil Company that came out and I have been with them since. They are very nice people and organized and I will never use or recommend any one to Micheletti Oil Service. read more
