I have seen Dr. Corren for Low IgA issues for several years. Last year I had acute bronchitis that was difficult to kick, and was seeing local doctor's as I live in Glendale - quite a drive to Dr. Corren's office when not feeling well. Dr. Corren called me regularly to check up on me, offered advice and accepted my calls as well. I spoke to him again yesterday regarding recent lab results. Not only is he empathetic, but he is very knowledgeable and skilled. His office staff has always been courteous by phone and in person. Thank you for your care Dr. Corren. UPDATE: Since my original posting, I have had add'l bouts of bronchitis. Dr. Corren has always been available to promptly assist me and I am so appreciative of that. I also read the review by someone saying his office discriminated based on heritage. I am of Mexican descent and have received only the utmost respect from Dr. Corren and his staff. Of physicians I have seen, he has always been one of the most caring, respectful and responsive. That review should not sway you from seeking terrific care. read more

Dr. Corren is a very nice, kind, and respectful doctor. I saw him based on a referral from a mold specialist, as I had been living in an apartment with awful toxic black mold and have been coughing non-stop for over one year. At first he seemed great - messaged me even on a Sunday, and on his vacation. Now who does that? But he seems extremely busy and still hasn't even returned my several calls to go over some important lab results he asked for that seem to indicate MOLD SPORES in my bloodstream. So I am just really concerned now that I have found that out. And I can't even get an appointment with him by phone or in his office for several weeks. So I am stumped. read more

it took me at least 5 calls and leaving messages before anyone came back to me to make an appointment. (They do not answer the phone on the front desk ever). When I arrived for appointment, the doctor was not even at the office. A nurse proceeded to give me the pin prick test for foods. I was appalled that the doctor was not around to meet me, never mind the fact that the did not consult with me before doing testing. Suffice to say, the front desk never called me back with test results. I left another 3 messages. To this day they have never called me back. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I went to Dr. Corren because the allergist my ENT suggested didn't have availability. I have no idea why, but the receptionist is beyond rude. During the two office visits and several phone calls to get my test results, she either ignored me, argued with me, or outright lied that she had already emailed me the results. I wouldn't say that the nurse is much more communicative or cordial to a new patient. Corren himself seems like a fairly nice and knowledgeble person, but I can't really tell, because he did not explain the needle prick testing procedure, that there would have to be two of them on different dates, for two different categories of allergans, and no one followed up to remind me not to take antihistamines prior or to the test. I left numerous messages (they don't answer the phone) requesting my results to no avail, until finally the aforementioned receptionist said she would "re-send" them, having never sent them a first time. Also, I received, promptly, two no-show appointment bills for the appointment I initially had with Dr. Corren. Last, the actual test "result" is a single sheet of paper, no notations or explanation other than a long sharpie line down the list of items, whatever that means. Did finally get an appointment with the original recommended doctor, whose staff told me that I did not have to stop all my vitamins, etc. before testing, contrary to Corren's instructions. read more

First of all, I was not asked to make this review. For 5 years I've seen every kind of doctor there is, and many of them pass off my symptoms and do not do the kind of digging Dr. Corren does. He seems very busy, and is in high demand for his work both clinically and research based. Pros: -Takes insurance -Front desk was responsive within 24 hrs -He seems to genuinely care -Very smart- evaluated me for things no other doctors have looked into -takes him time to understand patterns -Has great referrals -Does not give up on finding root causes -Open mind Cons just very busy and wait times are longer. read more

I saw Dr. Saeedian in Dr. Corren's office, as he was unavailable. My insurance company, SCAN, has referred me to Dr. Corren's office regarding food allergies. While Dr. Saeedian seemed very nice, highly qualified and concerned, I have had a few problems already. The place they referred me to for blood tests was not covered under my insurance and they didn't check. After calling my insurance company and finding which place was OK for the tests, I called Dr. Corren's office and spoke with the receptionist to get the new request for the approved company. I have NEVER encountered someone so rude and surely in a doctor's office. Later left a message for the doctor to call me back. I'll see how it goes, but may simply ask the insurance company for another doctor. Life is too short to deal with rude people. Update: Dr. Corren returned my call and invited me to stop by to see him at my convenience. He was very apologetic about my experience with the receptionist and had the new form ready for me. While it would have been much better to not have had to deal with the receptionist, Dr. Corren did everything he could to make amends. Now we just have to figure out what allergies are making me so sick. read more

We love Dr. Corren!! We drive all the way out from OC to see him-he truly has a five star bedside manner and gentle approach with children. I love his sense of humor with keeping things comfortable for patients. He has worked with us even from a distance and answers our phone calls and emails with great expertise. He is a rare find so if you are looking for an allergist this is the one you want! He also does food allergy baked tolerance and has really help guide us through it. read more

Doctor Corren was extremely knowlegable and effective in solving the root cause of my mom's allergy. She broke out in a really bad rash after a broken hand and hospital stay. It ended up to be an allergic reaction to a certain antibiotics, with a quick regimen of meds, he was able to bring much needed relief very quickly to my elderly mom. My mom suffers from skin allergies and Doctor Corren has always fixed her! We are very grateful to him and his whole staff. read more

Dr Corren is an excellent practitioner, however, is office staff is surly, rude and, clearly, incompetent. I have simple prescription I have taken for years. The drug is not a narcotic nor any controlled substance. I have routinely had it refilled by other doctors without incidence. I am certain CVS knows how to request a routine refill from an MD's office. EVERY time the pharmacy has contacted Dr Corren's office, the office staff does not respond in 2 business days and the pharmacy notifies me of this and to contact the Dr. I have had to call the office to intervene EVERY time only to get exasberated, defensive staffers who either claim they have never had a refill request or they have sent it in all ready and CVS "lost it". Clearly, if this happened once, I would attribute this to an honest oversight. But this has happened five times. I have never had this experience with any other doctor and I have decided this is the last time I go to Dr Corren. read more

Great doctor! He is the 3rd doctor I have been to for the same issue. The first 2 looked at me gave me a $300 brand name prescription (2 different dr's 2 different prescriptions) and sent me on my way. Dr Corren is pulling my records from my other dr's. Did a panel test in office. Sent me for labs. And said "how bout we just fix this". Exactly what you want to hear seems like he will do it too. read more

He promised to resolve the issue and provided me his direct phone number should I need to contact him. I should hate Doc C for taking away my favorite foods - But I certainly won't kill the messenger who FINALLY figured out why I was sick all the time! I had been to several allergists over the years for my breathing issues - they told me I only had "sensitivities, not allergies" and sent me on my way. Meanwhile, not one tested me for food allergies, which turned out to be my main issue. Doc C was sensitive to how hard it would be to cut almost everything out of my diet, but promised it would pay off - and it has! I have also been impressed with Dr C's accessibility. When I see him during my shot visits, he's always friendly and knows who I am. And when I had a few quick questions, he answered via email. Now that's service! read more

Dr. Corren was the doctor I needed to end a recurrent sinus infection. He insisted I come in and came up with a treatement regime which was took care of an infection which had come and gone for four months. I highly recommend Dr. Corren. I later sent a friend to him who had also been suffering from sinus infections and even had had sinus surgery. Dr. Corren determined that the problems were caused by allergies and with the appropriate treatment, her years long issues were finally resolved. read more

We've been seeing Dr Corren since last year and there are simply no words to describe the caring and detailed service you will receive. The man knows his stuff. You do not have to suffer and longer! There is hope! That is what I would say to anyone who is suffering with allergies/asthma. The key is finding the right doctor. Dr Corren is that doctor. Allergy shots do work. For years I went to another clinic that mailed me my antigens to administer at home. I thought it was great because it was so much easier and eliminated the need of having to go into an office and get shots . Well, it may have been convenient but it was ineffective... but I never knew that . I just couldn't understand why I wasn't getting any better. The worst was my cough. A cough so bad that it would repeatedly send me to the ER. Finally, one of the top pulmonologists at Cedars who didn't know what else to do for me told me " You need to see Dr Corren". I was so blessed to be referred to Dr. Corren from top sinus & pulmonary specialists at Cedars and UCLA. Dr. Corren took me on as a patient a couple years ago; looking back, I have nothing but gratitude for his unrelenting efforts to heal me, and get my life back. I have never known a doctor to be so knowledgeable, comforting, motivated, responsive, and available. I was advised he takes the hardest cases, when GPs, and other sinus/allergist/asthma doctors run out of options. I understand now why he's so well known in the top medical community. I've been to the office so many times, gotten to know the office staff, watch daily happenings, and always seen relatively quickly. Not surprisingly, I've never seen a doctor so loved, and so many patients (young and old) happy to be treated by him. No doubt, I was so lucky to be referred to the best LA has to offer. Validations I received from top local and out of state hospitals, including Jewish hospital in Denver, let me know I was getting the best treatment. Regardless of his specialty, he assisted in managing my care, and advised carefully as I moved through treatment options. Today I'm walking up hills, back in the gym, and on minimal medication. The other Internest says my blood results are all NORMAL. I'm losing weight, sleeping at night, AND I BREATHE!! My family is so comforted knowing I'm no longer on the dangerous cliff of poor health. Dr Corren is empathic, patient and highly knowledgeable. His office were extremely accommodating and every time I had an appointment I was taken right on time (which is not the case with many other doctors in the city.) I highly recommend Dr Corren. read more

After the first appointment, all I can say until a follow up review is that while most Western Med docs wanted to put my 19 yr. old son on all kinds of meds and lazily decided that he had fibromyalgia...RARE at 19...Dr. Corren would have none of it. He hypothesized that we had fallen prey to over prescribed antibiotics and the havoc wrecked by them on his body. He did not jump to all kinds of meds, instead he took an approach that shows patience and true caring for his patient. A 3-6 month plan to "fix" my son....a plan, not just a prescription. Dr. Corren was amazing! It was a pleasure to deal with a doctor who is not only knowledgeable, but who so obviously cares about his patients and is willing to take the time to listen to them. When I called with a question about my medication he returned my call right away. He also remembered my case and asked about a test I was going to have with another physician. He made a point of actually showing me how to use a nasal spray so it wouldn't cause a bad taste in my throat. All of the office staff was wonderful as well. They were friendly, helped you as soon as you walked in and answered all my questions. They were also lovely with all the children who came in the office and who obviously felt at home there (as opposed to being frightened as children often are at a doctor's office). What a pleasure to have a phenomenal doctor and a fantastic staff all in the same place! I would highly recommend Dr.Corren to anyone looking for an allergy specialist. read more
