I took my fur-niece to get a summer cut. She's a golden/husky mix. She came out pretty well but had a couple of sloppy areas. She's so much happier with the short cut which is growing out nicely and she's a lot cleaner. read more

I had the worst experience here this week with my fur baby. I paid almost $80 and my poor baby came home looking like an alpaca. We have taken our pup here about 5 or 6 times now and I wish I would have paid more attention to all the red flags and read the reviews on this place. Starting off with I was never asked to show any proof of vaccinations the first time we brought her here. Then I started to notice that every time we would drop her off she would be terrified and visibly shaking. And she also started to give us a hard time when we tried to brush her at home and she would become anxious anytime we tried. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But this terrible hair cut was my final straw. When we dropped her off I asked for a teddy bear cut. They literally shaved her completely and left the top long and hanging in her eyes. I did gave my approval to shave her IF there was matting but there is no way it was that matted because I made sure to brush her several days leading up to her appointment. I didn't notice how bad it was until we got home and took her bow off and poof it went all in her face. Also when we picked her up here eyes were irritated and blood shot red. She was also rubbing on everything and very itchy. They also conveniently didn't post her picture on social media. Probably because they knew how bad it was. And that makes it even more frustrating seeing other songs with nice teddy bear cuts and what we got was far from that. I would NOT recommend anyone take their fur baby's here. And I will never be going back. They have lost all my trust in not only making my pup look her best but also I seriously question how well she's cared for while she is there. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR INNOCENT DOGS HERE, PLEASE!! Two times, they have mutilated my little dog's vulva, and it has been a horrendous time for two days already for my old dog as I write as it was for three days aftterwards the previous mutilation which was even worst than this past one. We forgave. thinking it was an innocent mistake, but twice?!? Makes me wonder if there are animal abusers in the midst of the crew. We feel so sad and so disgusted with this business! read more

Highly disappointed. I took my poodle in. She was matted and I took her to the vet for a bath where she got combed pretty good. I didn't want the vet to shave her because they just shave an don't groom. All the other groomers weren't calling me back. I called Michelle's and they had same day availability. Well, she was done by midday and I go pick her up. I didn't recognize my puppy at all. She looked like a black goat. She was so ugly I was in shock. I took her home and she was whining all evening and night. I finally decided to call them and spoke to the owner. Why did they completely shave her? Her ear, tail, eyebrows--- gone. Every time I saw her my heart sank. She's an adorable poodle puppy. The owner reviewed with staff and the groomer said she did what was written on the sheet so it was the intake lady who wrote to basically skin my baby. She, of course, denied that she didn't tell me they could be this extreme. I could understand a short coat but her head and tail too? The owner said she was wrong to do that but didn't offer any compensation. I even tipped them! She said to bring her back for a free bath which they do anyway bc the lady told me about it. And to bring her back for another skinning later as if they somehow miraculously gained my trust. I told her I would think about it but the times I think about it so get so mad. They didn't have to do this to my baby. They were lazy and careless. I can't even bring myself to upload the photo. read more

Beware of this shop but especially do not book with Jason!! The owner has no customer service... worst experience ever!! The groomer JASON clearly had no experience! 6 months of matting? Lies! He was just groomed in October by you!! &I had been brushing him up until his appointment. I gave the ok to go shorter if there was tangles that could not be taken out but that did not mean I was ok with balding him! "It will probably be a little shorter than 50%" does not translate to he will be completely shaved!! They completely shaved my poodle!! I never gave the ok for that, and no expectations were ever set for that either. We told them we were going to Colorado for Christmas. He is completely shaved from the neck down. He is going to be freezing! No experience with poodles &no respect or consideration shown to think about calling the owner to see if we would be ok with a completely shaved POODLE! Well The closing time on the web page says 5:30 pm... The closing time on the sign at the location says 5:30 pm. I couldn't see anywhere where it states we close after the last dog is gone...I had 2 dogs that just needed a nail trim so left work early went home packed up the pooches drive to the location walked in and was told we are closed and about to walk out this is at 4:47pm. If these are the operating hours of the business PLEASE state so on your web page and sign at your business customers go by what is listed...even a simple statement like call before coming after like 3 or 4 would have been great wasted time and GAS doesn't deserve a single star but will give 1 just to bring awareness. Please correct your hours and clarify your operating schedule that would be something a good business should have. read more

How much for etc...etc..." She rudely responds "I won't do your doberman. I don't do big dogs. " if that's the case..then put it in some fine print on your coupon!!!! I was enticed to this pet salon due to a $10 coupon for a bath, flea dip, nail cut, and blow dry. Upon arrival as other reviewers mentioned, the salon is a converted house so parking is a bit of a challenge. I arrived at 9:30am, and there was already 4 people waiting to drop off dogs with the same coupon that I had. It appears that 9:30 equals about 3/4pm for the dogs to be ready. I was informed that they only take dogs up to 3pm and then close at 5pm. I paid extra for a teeth cleaning, nail file, blueberry face mask which totaled $30 which I thought was still a good price compares to Petco. I barely picked JoJo up, but he smells great and looked relaxed. read more

Let me preface by saying that if they would offer appointments on Saturdays, I'd have given them five stars. Saturday is their busiest day and its a "first come, first serve" kinda deal. It was a hectic experience, to say the least. There were tons of people and they were blocking driveways, stop-signs and a few of them were just parking right in the middle of the street. Pure laziness. We brought our beautiful, long-haired cat in to be groomed because he had a lot of heavy matting that we were afraid to touch. It is very difficult to find a cat groomer and I was so pleased that they automatically said "yes". Although we had to stand in line for awhile, the whole process only took 4 hours and when we arrived to pick up our cat, we were told how well behaved and sweet he was. Yay! He was given the "lion mane" cut with a shaved body, poofy tail and furry boots. Totes adorbs. For real. He smelled like kitty cologne and was soft to the touch. He seemed genuinely happy and relieved that he was not mat-free too. There were no cuts on his body and although there were some low and high spots from the clippers, he looked great. The shop is in a house turned business and there is very little parking. It was clean, very small and cramped but it got the job done. I'll be back. My sweet cat has a free follow-up bath and dip scheduled in two weeks! I recommend for an affordable groomer whose open Saturdays! read more

Good experience overall. My 2 boys were in and out in under and hour and the price was not bad either for a full service. The front desk girls were nice but not super friendly and they seemed to be distracted possibly because they were busy. I would go back just because of how fast they were able to get my dogs in and out. read more

When I question the price thinking maybe they had mixed his invoice ... I simply got a rude matter of fact response 'this is the base price'. Nothing more said. A couple of years ago a sweet, stray dog with matted grey fur ended up at our front door and due to the condition of his fur we couldn't make out what kind of dog he was. We nick named him "Rags" because his hair was so ridiculously matted that it resembled hung rags. My sister was living here at the time and she had a dog of her own named Toby. Toby had a hair appointment at Michelle's Pet Salon one day and as I was walking out of the house I decided to take Rags with me. You see, it was summer and I knew he had to be miserable buried in all of that fur! I mean come on, this is Texas heat we are talking about. The drop off at the salon was simple and easy. I knew the routine since I had taken Toby so many times before. I explained to them Rags situation and I told them how he was a stray and I really just wanted them to shave all of his hair off so that he could feel some fresh air. They assured me they would do just that and so I went off and enjoyed my morning. When I went back to pick them up it was a full house but the employees had everything under control and everyone was very patient. They were bringing out beautiful dog after beautiful dog and I finally spotted my Toby. I remember holding Toby in my arms patiently waiting as they brought out this gorgeous poodle from the back. The darn dog had the balls of fur on the paws/butt and everything, a true poodle cut. It's not everyday that you see such a beautiful poodle like that on the south side of town so I gave it a heart warming smile and stood there still, patiently waiting. The lady holding the poodles dog leash looked at me like I was crazy and said "Ummm, mam, your dog.....Rags is it?" and then handed me the leash. I'm almost positive my jaw completely dropped to the ground. I was in absolute shock. Rags was a damn poodle! A beautiful, proper, pure, gorgeous grey poodle! They didn't shave off his fur as I had requested, they had actually chosen to take their time on him! Wow! He was very excited. When I got home he ran out of the car with so much joy in his steps, tail wagging and all. You could tell he felt so much better! A couple of days later someone picked him up and gave him a great home! I truly believe that Michelle's Salon gave Rags a second chance at a beautiful life surrounded by a loving family by simply going that extra mile. 5 stars? More like 5,000 STARS! read more

Had enough with this place. You basically have to be lucky just to get a appointment for a haircut for your dog. Sometimes they don't always exactly get you what you wanted. I try to give it one more chance because sometimes they do pretty good work. But I get there at 7:30 in the morning and they tell me they're done with haircut appointments for the day. I find it hard to believe that from 7 to 730 they can fill up with haircut appointments for the day. I feel like they just don't care or don't want to work hard. I guess that if you live on the street where Michelle's is on and you're willing to wake up to be there at 7 o'clock in the morning then yeah I guess its a good place to go. Just checked my account and this fucken place still charged me for a "dental cleaning" even after checking in on FB to receive the cleaning free of charge. Receipt says charged for $47 but my bank statement says $55 and change was charged. This place is a fucken joke. Never again! read more
