These people are truly kind and caring about the situations they deal with here. The facilities are very clean, private, and home-y. The employees are very understanding and well-spoken. An additional thing I like is that they don't seem to mass-produce the urns. The one I picked for my grandmother isn't on the shelves anymore, and the one I chose for my mother was off the shelf almost the very next day, so I can really appreciate the individuality of it.

We have contacted Lew no less than 13 documented times inquiring about the status. He does not return calls, says it will be done soon, etc. The last time I spoke to Lew he told me "your father-in-law (who, by the way is 87 years old) will not have to pay any more because I dropped the ball here". He then assured me it would be placed in 3-4 weeks. That was 8 weeks ago. I called two weeks ago to ask again and never got a call back. I am filing a formal complaint with the Montana Board of Funeral Directors today.

From start to finish they were horrible with my father and they are horrible with my mother. Ross took vacation in the middle of the arrangements. Only certain family members count and as they said, " we only listen to who's going to pay". In this case my brother didn't pay, a trust did. But they still listed him as the only next of kin. They refused the obituary written by and with my mothers input. They blocked phone calls and mailed the remains with the incorrect name. Not sure if I even got the right remains because they can't be trusted to do the right thing EVER. Not once did they offer condolences. They are disrespectful, arrogant and motivated by money only. Go anywhere else but don't go here.

Mountview Cemetery is historical in many ways. According to the website, it's been active for 135…read moreyears and the oldest continually operating cemetery in the region. As I drove by on Central, what captured my attention were the military markers. The same white precise layout as in standalone military cemeteries. With the opening of the national veterans cemetery in Laurel, I didn't expect to see many "new" markers. I was wrong. Near each of these were small holes for placing flowers or flags or other mementos. A nice touch. Back behind the military section, is the civilian section and it seemed to go on forever. What stood out to me were the grave markers. They all seemed enormous and intricate in both pattern and wording. Had I not known this was a cemetery, I would have believed I was in a museum of sculpture art. Of course there were the smaller plots marked out for families, the in-ground markers, the traditional early 20th century size markers, and the huge monoliths, but overall most were large, eye-catching and sometimes imposing. I found this to be the most incredible cemetery. Some of the newer markers had pictures of the person, bringing visitors back to an acknowledgment that for as beautiful as the setting, it's still a place for remembering a life. It's history here.

Lisa that helped me, moved trees around with a tractor in 99 degrees sweltering heat to make sure I had a matching pair for my front yard.
