I realize this place is kind of a fast food venue, but I've had better customer service at McDonald's. We were 'greeted' by a frowny-faced teenager who couldn't answer my simple question ("What are the portions like?"). She just seemed pissed off. When we sat down to wait for our food, we got our cannoli first, followed by my pasta dish five minutes later. My son's 10 inch pizza came out about 8-10 minutes later (the timing on the food was really weird!). Even the people bringing out our food seemed angry or bothered. The pasta was just okay. My son didn't like his pizza so he ended up finishing my meal. By far the worst part was the kids/people working here! (I have known many establishments to be practically fully ran by teenagers/young people, and they were fully capable of delivering a pleasant guest experience. This place is not that way.) They all looked like it was the worst day of their life. Not a single a smile, a laugh, anything. No one was friendly, except the girl we saw sweeping the floor on the way out the door. Highlands Ranch, Colorado This place has been here for quite some time, but this was my first visit. You walk in to the restaurant and there is a menu on the wall. You can choose salads, pasta, or calzones. They also have a display case of gelato. They say they make their food fresh with real ingredients. It is a walk up to the counter and order type of restaurant. You then seat yourself at one of the eight tables that are in the restaurant. They are quite busy with carry out. The guy who rang up our order has no personality. He never said hello. In fact, he never spoke to us at all until I said hello. He never spoke back or acknowledged my greeting. I said well I think I know what I want and ordered my pizza. After I placed my order, he looked at my husband and said "and you"? I think he needs to have some better communication and people skills to be working the front counter. The girl who was working with all of the guys tonight, smiled and was pleasant. Only complaint is that the kids are all on their phone behind the counter. We received our pizza quickly. I had the Margherita pizza and my husband had the Molto carne. The pizza did have fresh ingredients. It was piping hot. It is wood fired, and the crust was thick around the edge, which I absolutely love and thin in the middle. Although my pizza had delicious flavor, the crust itself on the bottom was a bit undercooked. I will also say that the toppings were not spread evenly as I had a portion of the pizza that did not have a tomato or mozzarella. My husband liked his pizza. Their soda cups are awful! And I mean truly miserable to drink from. They are a paper cup and as soon as you put in your fountain soda or water, they become soft and flimsy. I had to hold the cup with two hands in order for it not to spill. Absolutely ridiculous. You really need to get new cups. I have issue with them charging a service fee for using a credit card. Please let me know that you do this. I would've been more than happy to pay cash had I known. You can see it on the receipt picture I have attached. Overall, I thought the food was very good. Next time, I would bring my own drink or water bottle. I might also just go up to the counter and not say a word. And see how the young man who rang me up handle that in the future. When I go out to dinner, I want to be acknowledged and treated with respect. I would give the pizza a 4.5 star. I would give the service a 1.0 star I would give decor a 2.5 star. I would give ease and placing the order 4.5 star. I would give their cups a zero star. I give this place three stars overall. If the service had been good and I didn't have a paper cup that melted in my hand, they would have been 4+ stars. read more

For lunch we ordered online from Mici Italian. Which we had delivered to us at work. (I'm not sure if they offer delivery I had a family member pick it up and drop it off) I ordered the small Cesar salad and the Chicken Parmigiana with Penne Marinara. The food was delicious, the pasta penne was a little al dente which is very traditional and it was done to perfection. The marinara sauce was delicious and left me wanting more. But the main show was all about the Chicken Parmigiana. It was cooked perfectly and was so taste. It was cheesy and soft and very easy to cut through. My fiancé ordered the Rosa pasta, small Cesar salad, and spumoni gelato. We loved the food and rated it all as a 9.7/10 They provided us with plastic cutlery and a napkin that is pre wrapped in plastic. I did not get to experience the ambiance but plan on going back and eating in the restaurant sometime in the near future. So I will let you all know in my next review of this restaurant. The service was good as it was easy to use their website to order. One little hiccup we had was I did order pickup time to be 12 pm and when my family member arrived at 12 pm they told them that they had not started the food yet but would get it out asap. Which they did by getting the food ready in 10 minutes or so. Not a big deal for me but if you have a short lunch break then something to be mindful of. This is definitely very good and authentic Italian food in Highlands Ranch. We will definitely be back to eat more of the menu at Mici Italian. read more

Never order delivery. Our $30 pizza was left on our porch - no one knocked on the door or rang the doorbell- nothing. When we called to complain we were met with complete indifference. They said they use a third party for their deliveries and they have no control over them. Apparently this absolves them off all responsibility for their product. They did nothing to offer to make it right, like issue a store credit or send out a hot pizza to replace the pizza-sicle we received. They didn't even apologize, which should have been the first thing they did. We'll never do business with them again, which is a bummer because they make great pizza. I've eaten at Mici's twice now. The first time I ordered a pasta dish and this time I got a salad and calzone. The bread on the calzone was just ok along with the filling. It needed a little more seasoning; I felt like the flavors were kind of bland which was disappointing. The salad was delicious! I'd give Mici's a B for food. Prices aren't too bad which is a nice plus in this high inflation age. Service is minimal since you go to the counter to order and they simply bring the food to you when it's ready. Inside is clean, but there's not a lot of seating if it's busy. I'd rather go here than an Olive Garden to be honest. The food is more authentically Italian! read more

Called the restaurant, spoke to the manager, and he was extremely rude and said I needed to call the third-party that it wasn't their mistake. And when he was done with the conversation, he hung up on me. We called back again, trying to get some resolution and he thought we were done and hung up on us again Extremely rude manager. Mici has amazing quality. I remember when they first opened on Champs St. downtown. My mom and I went there after going to an event at the convention center. She absolutely loved it and still talks about it. I moved out of state for a few years and came back to Littleton. It was a pleasant surprise to find them so close by. There was a faux pas with the delivery system on a recent order so I said no problem, you are close, I can pick it up. For my inconvenience, the owner Michael gave me a free salad. Totally unnecessary but a very nice gesture to show gratitude. The quality and service are reasons I will continue to be a loyal and loving fan. MICI in Highlands Ranch sates our craving for pizza with a crispy, yet chewy crust. Not an easy thing to do. I'm new to the area and walked by Mici so decided to give it a try. I ordered the Caprarola calzone and peperoni pizza - wow! Just as the bread makes a good sandwich, the calzone and pizza crust was delicious! It had a slight sweetness to it and was the perfect texture, a bit crispy but not crunchy or hard. The calzone filling was perfectly balanced, and I liked the red sauce on the side so I could decide how much to put. I'm looking forward to returning to try the pasta and gelato! read more

Disappointing. You can make the same in less time it'd take you to order and have it delivered. I'll stock up on Trader Joe's next time and save myself the trip to the building door. Frankly, it seems like a gimmick to not provide more than one meatball. I assumed only a truly great product could sustain such a crazy dish at that price; a single meatball... appears they were deadly serious. They will charge you an arm and leg for boxed pasta, weak sauce, and a SINGLE, unseasoned meatball! Guess you can't have people complain that there wasn't enough meat when you're upfront about the fact that there's really only one meatball... I also bought a side, Caesar salad. Iceberg lettuce, bagged crotons, and mid-tier dressing. It's a salad offended by whatever Dominoes might pass out, but also one not wanting to cost any more than that. This is down the street from my work, so my hubby and I tried it after a long day in the office and were both disappointed. It reminds me of a casual fast food place like Noodles or Larkburger. We ordered the garlic bread with honey and Gorgonzola. I love stinky cheeses but there was waaaay too much on the bread and it just didn't pair well with the garlic. I ordered the bolognese with penne which was fine. The sauce had a good flavor and a bit on the sweet side. The toasted garlic bread served on the side was exceptional and very crusty. My husband's calzone was okay. The dough was good but the filling was too watery and just didn't do it for him. I think Mici has potential but really needs to refine their technique and edit some of their menu choices. read more

My wife and I got curbside pickup from this corner Italian joint this evening, and thoroughly enjoyed the fare. I got the insalata mista and a molto carne calzone. My wife got the zuppa al pomodoro and a caprarola calzone. The salad was very fresh, an the soup was exactly the way my wife makes it, so she was thrilled. Both of our calzones were top notch - filled to overflowing with fresh tasty ingredients with a really tasty crust. I'm really looking forward to the gelato we ordered for dessert! This is the perfect little spot to take the grandkids out for lunch. Service is always friendly and accommodating, the food is good (not stellar, but this is a casual spot), and you won't beat the price anywhere. If you ask, they'll even supply the kids with unbaked pizza dough to shape and play with.
