The rather oddly named MickDuff's is housed in one of the coolest buildings for a brewery I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of breweries! It was originally a government building built in 1927, then a library and now a brewery. Given how cool the building is, I didn't expect the beer to be so good. But thankfully the beer I tried was excellent. The only nit is that there was a game show playing on the TV above the bar. Kinda strange. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. read more

Wow, if I could leave more stars, I would. We reserved a room for a family reunion yesterday and even though there were a few hiccups(on our part), the event went off extremely well. Chelsea and Emma provided us with exceptional customer service and patience. As this reunion dinner is an annual event, held in many states, this one was one of the best. Good food, great beer and outstanding service. Do yourself a favor and visit them. You won't be disappointed. read more

Another Sandpoint brewery to try out. Perhaps not my favorite out of the ones in the Sandpoint area but not bad by any means. The location of Mickduff's is right smack downtown so this is definitely the most centrally located brewery in town. Parking is so so but could be worse and probably is if there are any special events in town. For Mickduff's Steve and I both had the La Cerveza, a Mexican Lager which was pretty good. Not the best I ever had but solid all the same. Flavor highlights with this lager is a citrus flavor along with crispness and cleaness upon the tongue. A nice, light beer to enjoy in humid toastiness that Sandpoint was apparently unseasonably experiencing when I was visiting. read more

Great spot to catch a beer and enjoy the weather outdoors! While drinking your ember you can play some cornhole, munch on some popcorn, and enjoy your beer! This is the second location of this brewery. It's mainly just a tasting place. Very limited on food. But a great place to to come have a couple before going to eat a meal or after. :) My BF had their IPA's and liked them all. I had their Knot Tree Porter. Smooth with a little bit of chocolate notes. Very drinkable. I also tried an Amber. Again, smooth, drinkable without the bloating feeling. Will be back when we are in the area. read more

Situated in the old library so it has character. Beer selection was top notch. Good good and service. Easy parking and in the walking area of downtown. Patio outside look good but a bit too hot for us to try. read more

MickDuff's is a great spot to visit in Sandpoint. While we've had their beer locally in Spokane before we wanted to go check them out in person. They have a great beer selection and limited releases in the tap room. Over all, a great experience and the outdoor sitting was really nice to enjoy. read more

I was a little nervous about having 70+ guests attend the event since we live in Western Washington & had never visited Sandpoint. Great place to enjoy good beer. You can bring your own food. Sometimes they have a good cart outside. We stopped by after a day of skiing. I'm a fan of their Lupulicious IPA and the Chocolate Milk Stout. Just stop by and try some. read more

I can only compare this place to the TV show Cheers. It's got an "everyone knows everyone" kind of vibe. The beer is great and they've got a cooler stocked with other items if you're not a beer drinker. The beertenders are all awesome and friendly (we are heartbroken to see Dave go- best of luck in Kansas City!!!). They frequently have live music performed by local musicians, it's bring your own food, but you'll often find a local food-truck in the parking lot, or Sandpoint Curry selling their wares. The pool table & organic popcorn are free, and there's a great seating area outside, too! All in all it's a great place to enjoy a cold drink with a mellow crowd. read more

We were visiting Sandpoint just as Covid-19 restrictions were being eased. On a Friday night we were riding bikes around the town and happened upon Mick Duff's beer hall. They were setting up for some live music outside so we decided to stay around. Inside there are only a few high top tables and some seats at the bar but obviously they had removed some seating for social distancing. We ordered several of the different beers: Pete's ale, which is light and easy drinking; Knot Tree Porter which was very nice; and also the River Bender hoppy lager. I finally settled on the English Ale for the rest of the night. All beers were good and we enjoyed ourselves. The music was a one man country singer who was obviously local and had brought a following. The crowd began to swell and get a bit excited to dance together, as we have all been cooped up for so long. The manager came out and addressed the crowd to ask us all to maintain social distancing and only dance by our table, and not create a crowded dance floor. It made us feel good that they were trying to enforce good health practices. For the most part people were trying to distance although nobody wore masks (someone needs to invent a mask that can be worn while drinking a pint of beer). We enjoyed the evening and will go back before we head away from Sandpoint. Thank you! read more

We love this place. While the restaurant is good, we much prefer to order out there and eat in the beer hall. It's a welcoming atmosphere with a good aura and great beer. They also offer cider and wine which is appreciated. Their popcorn is free and great with the yeast addition. read more

My husband and I were taking his 88 year old mother out to dinner. We decided to go to McDuff's because it is close to our home and although we had had less than friendly service in the past we thought we'd give them another go. Unfortunately, our experience tonight made us feel less than welcome and they had no empathy for the needs of our elderly mom. We arrived at approximately 4:30. They were already busy and were told that there was about a 30-35 minute wait. We accepted it, put our name on the list and sat down on the bench to wait. In about 30 minutes Mom mentioned how hard the seat was and hoped we'd be called soon because the seat hurt her back. We were then escorted to a table with the same hard chairs. Since the hostess immediately left us we found the closest waitress and requested that we move to an open booth. She agreed that we could make the move. Shortly, the hostess came over and asked who had authorized us to move. When she found out we hadn't just moved on our own a woman who seemed to be probably the manager on duty came and told us we had to take the table we had originally been taken to. We explained that mom couldn't sit on the hard chairs and her solution to the problem was to put us back on the wait list. Unfortunately, this is the last insult, the lack of compassion for our 88 year old mom. We won't be back! We left and went to Sweet Lou's where we were greeted with a smiling face who immediately noticed our mom and asked if a booth would be most comfortable for her. So in the end, we had a very nice dinner with wonderful service at Sweet Lou's. read more

Crowded for a reason! Friendly, fast service. Food portions huge! And the flavor..... so delicious. I had the pastrami and my husband had the Cubano. Both were so good. Definitely my favorite spot in SandPoint. The fries and chips are homemade. read more

We stopped here while in town for a night and saw they were hosting a fundraiser for Water Keepers, an environmental advocacy group in town. They brewed a beer for the organization, which was very tasty. We came back to fill a growler and got the Strom Hammer IPA which was amazing!
