Location is at the beginning of hotel row leading away from the town on West Lincolnway. The motels are east of this location. Across the street is a great diner providing superb food and service for breakfast and lunch. The Microtel is undergoing some repairs and renovations. This did not interfere with the room or parking. The reception was polite and fast. I was able to get to my room shortly after arriving. I did notify the front desk that the 1st and 2nd floor stairwell fire doors were propped open (fire hazard). The room was clean but lacked outlets at first glance. After hunting we were able to plug in our electronics. The only maintenance issue had been the air conditioner which had the cover off. I was taking it down to the front desk when I noticed that the attachment points were intact. I returned to the room and re-attched the cover with no issue. The rest of the room was clean and serviceable. Some of the updates needed: more outlets to include usb ports, shower dispensers and soap dispensers by the sink, a plug or grate for the sink and lower intensity lighting. The dispensers would even reduce cost and waste. I would stay again. read more

I am very disappointed in this hotel well actually the staff more so management. I had to use this hotel for a participant that was displaced from his apartment in Cheyenne Wy. He unfortunately is incontinent and soiled a sheet. The manager and apparent the owners were very upset that a paying customer soiled bedding. The manager also complained that this paying customer made his room smell after a bowel movement. This paying customer paid for 10 days and was told he could not stay past the 10th day. The paying customer purchased his own bedding and did not use any of the hotels bedding after the complaint. The management also said this paying customer would need to check out by 9 am when check out is 11 am. read more

Cleanish. Front desk was not interested in asking our neighbors to turn down VOLUME ON TELEVISION in middle of night, so when smoke alarm began chirping, we left. Very very clean and felt nice to be somewhere cozy. Being away from home a lot and come into a place like this is heartwarming. I do recommend this place. I was put up in a room right by the elevators. The room and bed vibrate throughout the night. And worst of all - the disgusting breakfast they served made me throw up. The hotel is quite out-dated. There were only three outlets, and in hard-to-reach places. There were no connectors for charging phones. That was the least of it however. The carpet was absolutely filthy; I've attached a photo of the bottom of my socks. They were not worn for more than three hours, more like two. The refrigerator was not cleaned out (Photo). There was a winged insect in my sheets (no photo, too freaked out. There were bugs on the bathroom ceiling. I've stayed at other Microtels, and none were like this one. read more

The rooms are small, pillows are flat, and the desk clerk needs training in customer service! I made a reservation online that listed my reservation as a pet friendly room, but when I arrived the front desk clerk said the reservation isn't pet friendly, and she would have to charge me $75 to change it, and said I was supposed to leave a comment in the message section(nowhere to be found on the website)that I have a service animal. She also acted ticked off when I went back to ask for the internet password. This place is a joke! read more

This was my first stay in a Microtel, and I very much enjoyed my stay here. The usual features (TV, refrigerator, microwave) all worked and most importantly, the room was clean. The WiFi was most appreciated. Took advantage of the exercise room and was grateful they had one. We were traveling across the country & booked online so we didn't realize how bad the area was. This hotel is surrounded by slums with train tracks across the street. We NEVER imagined that a $265 room would look like this. Nor be in in this neighborhood. We barely slept as we had to keep checking that our vehicle hadn't been broken into. First off I effin HATE this hell hole called Cheyenne, wy!! But if for some godforsaken reason you have to go to hell(as we call it) then this place is an ok hotel. They are quite lazy though. We asked several times before hand about adjoining rooms and after but I'm afraid it's too difficult for the staff to figure out if they're available. They instead put us on one end of the hall and our children on the other end after we asked to then at least put us next door or across the hall. It sucks that they don't have a pool. Yes they have laundry facilities and a workout room. There's a breakfast that has basic stuff, toast, hardboiled eggs, pastries and juice(the apple juice is horrible, they water it down too much!) the price is pretty decent too. A suite with jacuzzi tub for only $126 plus taxes on a Tuesday is a great value! The front desk staff was awesome. The room was clean. My husband said the bed was lumpy and shower didn't drain in room 209. I slept great. He's more of a princess and the pea then I am. The continental breakfast was ok. I've never stayed in this chain group. Expedia res got me here several times this week during the rodeo in and out multiple times. Just right here. Good tv and ok internet. Room on 3rd top floor is real good. Seems a handicap room which is fine and no problems with that. Friendly staff got me an iron and full size board as was not in room. Our one night stay started out okay but the room was a handicapped room which was unnecessary because we aren't handicapped. They charged me $35.00 over the quoted rate. This is the best and cleanest hotel that I ever check in so far. We arrived late at night but the lady who was there was so nice and welcoming. She took care of her guests and she was making sure that the main door was locked and everyone getting in was checked out. Rooms are so clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Absolutely lovely - we will definitely be staying there every time we visit Cheyenne. The bus from the airport dropped us off at noon, but they were very accommodating about allowing an early check-in. The rooms were pleasant, and quiet, and had convenient outlets. The AC kept the room nice and cool despite the unusual heat wave the city was experiencing, and the bathrooms were among the nicest we've ever encountered in a hotel. I'm not talking about plush amenities, but a comfortable toilet and a showerhead high enough to be useful to taller people go a long way. As noted by other visitors, the wifi is a little glitchy, but generally if I disconnected and reconected, it fixed itself. read more

Microtel cheated me by double charging me for a room. I had book a reservation fully paid on my Discover card. I was going to miss the first night of the reservations so I called to let them know I would only be coming in the second night. When I arrived they charged me again to stay. When I tried to talk with anyone about the situation, no one could help me. Horrible. Stayed for two weeks, told them is be there for two months due to my job. Two days into my third week I got a call saying I needed to move because my room was already reserved and they had no room for me. I had to leave my job site to pack my stuff and leave. My husband and I were traveling east from California, we chose to stay at the microtel inn. The accommodation was outstanding, we left several very nice dress clothes hanging in the closet and didn't realize it until we were 250 miles away. Misty was awesome, she took our information and personally took our items to fed ex after work hours to have it shipped to nebraska. I would stay here again. Thanks misty. My parents are traveling across the country and I gave them this hotel as an option in Cheyenne. I'm sorry I did. When mom called to reserve she was told they would match the internet rate she had found of $93 a night. She was given a confirmation number. When they arrived at the hotel later that night around 9:00, the night clerk/manager said the rate would be $164.95. My parents gave her their confirmation number and said they had been told $93. The clerk denied anyone would ever give that rate. She continued to argue with them until finally offering them a room at $129. By this time my dad was tired of this, remember they had traveled 600 miles already that day, and agreed to that rate. My mom proceeded to call the Wyndham corporate while in the room. As my dad was bringing luggage up, the clerk stopped him and said she had made a mistake. She made up some nonsense about their name being wrong in the system and that's why she didn't have that rate. But what difference would that make, since they had the confirmation number? So she finally gave them the rate they were quoted, $93. But what a scam! I would suggest getting an email confirmation of anything quoted to you from the front desk at this hotel. read more

A friendly desk clerk thru overnight is ONLY reason I gave one star instead of zero. Where the heck do I even start?? Rooms were small and crappy....beds were decent at best, I've had better and worse. The A/C came on and off sporadically....the wifi cut in and out most of time and the cpu downstairs in lobby rarely worked and was as slow as an old 14.4 external modem hooked to a damned toaster. Breakfast was not horrible but less than average......and these were the good parts.....the lousy LOSERS at this hotel DOUBLE CHARGED me!! Sure, both "pre-auths" but for 4 days, $121.00 TWICE outta my account.....complained to desk and they said the "so-called" manager (I use the term VERY lightly) would come in the morning and rectify.....not only did the so-called manager "Jamie" not come in but told the desk person my bank was to blame (this is on a Sunday so we are trapped), the so-called manager (who I hear has been there since Day One 8 years ago) never once called us in our room to talk with us, just blew us off! Home now 4 days later and the pre-auth STILL there! WORST HOTEL EVER.....AVOID!!!! read more
