    They are very quick, however, the staff is NOT friendly. They definitely need improvement on customer facing interaction.

My first impression at the window was not a very good one to say the least. An employee with a red beard(luckily for him they weren't wearing name tags because I would totally rat him out) threw a clipboard at me with no acknowledgement at all. WOW! Someone didn't have their morning coffee? I signed in, sat my but down and gulped down 3 bottles of water so I would be prepared to do my thing. My name was finally called after about 45 minutes and lucky for me I was about pee my pants! So I walk up front to the window and a nice lady told me I would have to wait another 10 minutes because they only have one person that takes care of the drug test. You guessed it Mr. Red Beard! Finally, he calls me back as I get up I can hardly walk because I have to go so bad. We walk to a back room and he asks me for an ID, if I have anything in my pockets, and make sure not to flush before he comes back in the bathroom or my test is invalid. After another 5 minutes of more useless information from Mr. Red Beard, finally I go. I could not wait to leave so I did not have to listen to his voice anymore. His robotic personality reminded of the teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Bueller, Bueller, Bueller. While some serious customer service training is warranted here, I try not to be a total debbie downer and do appreciate the fact they got me in and out by 10:15am. Word to the Wise: first come, first serve, so get there early!

    Let me be the first to tell existing patients of CMI that the merger of CMI with RadNet (Advanced…read moreRadiology). I had an appointment scheduled 2 weeks before the merger officially took place on March 1, 2026. My appointment for an MRI was scheduled for March 3. I get a text stating that the MRI had to be canceled because prior authorization was not obtained prior to the appointment. The message said I was welcome to keep the appointment but the out of pocket cost would need to be paid at the time of service. When I called to say that a CMI representative told me authorization was obtained and the appointment was confirmed, I was told the merger took place on March 1 and the prior authorization for the appointment was for Chesapeake Medical Imagining (CMI), not RadNet and RadNet could not accept the prior authorization from CMI. The new company, RadNet explained that a new referral would need to be written from my provider and go through the whole prior auth process again!! This will delay the procedure another 10 to 14 days. This means I am waiting for a month or more for an MRI necessary for my doctor to evaluate and treat my condition. The doctor said he cannot ethically prescribe medication until he sees the results of the MRI. Not to mention that I was on hold with an extremely unprofessional RadNet representative (Amanda) for almost an hour while the rep went back and forth with the insurance authorization and billing department. This extraordinarily long hold time was NEVER an issue with CMI and scheduling and obtaining a prior atheization was never an issue. It seems like there is a monopoly with medical imaging because of this recent merger. I don't see these issues getting better since bigger seems to indicate more room for error and unprofessionalism. I have been a long-standing patient with CMI (14 years), but because of this merger and my most recent experience, I feel patient care has gone to the wayside and the professionalism was nonexistent. The good news is that I am a patient with Mercy and will transfer all of my medical imaging studies to them. To be clear, with this new merger of CMI and RadNet (Advanced Radiology), I o longer recommend this business to anyone. I gave 1 star because it was required.

    I called for an appointment for the same day and they were able to fit me in by the grace of God!…read more I went in not knowing what was to come. I have never done this before. So, I went to check in. The front desk was patient and kind with me. Once I turned in all my information and paid my copay, I was called moments later. The techs were knowledgeable and asked questions to make sure I was comfortable. I needed imaging for my doctor and had contrast (which I've never done before) but it went well. The day before I was stuck 4 times with a needle so I didn't want anyone who couldn't get it on the first try. When I tell you, the lady got me on the first try... I almost cried in relief. I hate being a pin cushion. From then on I laid back and let them do their thing. They explained everything to me and it was just as they said. I would go to them for everything no questions asked! I really appreciate having a great experience!

    Dr. King is excellent and our family highly recommends him…read more We ended up with DDA and Dr. King after serious issues with another local practice and dr. My dad has dysphagia and is unable to swallow safely so he has a peg tube. He had issues with it which led us to seeing a dr at another practice whose only answer to very basic questions including whether a red, heated & seeping area was infected or whether we should worry about liquid coming out around the tube was "I don't know." He ended up very weak and ill and in the hospital & as fate had it on surgery day to replace the tube with a new one we would have had the incompetent dr from the other practice. We refused the surgery and would not let the other doctor from the other practice near our dad again even for a consult. Our other option was to switch his care to DDA and have Dr. King treat him. My sister (a nurse) and I were hesitant after the last experience and did our research before deciding to switch practices rather than wait for a different doctor at the original practice to be available. We consider ourselves very lucky to have ended up with Dr. King and his practice. My sister and I are exceptionally overprotective and have high expectations and have had nothing but a great experience with Dr. King. He and his office are very responsive and proactive to potential problems when thy arise. We had to call the on call dr on a Saturday and on Monday morning we had a call from their office well before 9am hit for me to be able to call. After such a horrible experience by every measure with the other practice it is a great relief to us to have Dr. King caring for our dad on the GI front. Wait times can be a little long at times but the Dr. and his staff are sensitive to it and apologetic when it does happen and it is not frequent. The trade off is you get a doctor who is knowledgeable, thorough, responsive and cares- all traits that are increasingly difficult to find in one Dr. and certainly worth the occasional wait. We are convinced my dad would not be here with us today had we let that other dr. operate and are grateful to Dr. King and DDA for helping us to keep him healthy!

Still more than 1 month out to see the Dr. Long ago when this was called Digestive Disorders Assoc. I canceled seeing Dr Epstein because, as I recall, had at least 2 maybe 3 onsite appt cancellations. Then started seeing DR Walov. We were in sync for many years. I saw nurse m on short order. Was to get a stool sample pkg. I forgot about it as I left, but they did not execute the procedure. ​ So at this juncture I will likely set up a second appt elsewhere to getba 2nd opinion by a Dr who a close friend highly recommended. Can not say deserving of 1 star yet but 3 stars are not desrving either
