The price was…read morehigher than I wanted to pay so I engaged in a conversation about the candle holders (and their price) with a person I presume is the owner of Mosaik. I ultimately countered with a lower price for the candle holders. The person I was emailing with - again online - said "ok." Great, I thought! I just got the deal I wanted for the item I wanted to purchase. However, actually completing the purchase online was complicated and I could not figure out how to pay the price I thought we had agreed upon. I asked my contact several times how to conclude the purchase. She gave me instructions to conclude the purchase - which again did not work. But finally, my contact at Mosaik told me that she had never accepted my offer in the 1st place. I think this was a case of "seller's remorse" where the person changed her mind on our agreement. I think Mosaik was being sneaky, or lying, or - at the very least - had communicated in bad faith and in an unprofessional manner. Of course, I don't know for sure. But - to me - the conversation and most importantly my offer of a specific price was clear and unambiguous. I have looked over our conversation several times and - again - in my opinion - it is very clear that Mosaik had agreed upon my counter-offer price. I will attach a screen shot of the conversation so that you can draw your own conclusions. But I have decided that I will never buy anything from a seller who conducts themselves in a sneaky and underhanded manner - or, at least, who negotiates in a sloppy manner. I expect better from people who hold themselves out as professional retail outlets. To me, if they will be sloppy while negotiating price, they will be sloppy on other things too.

All good things must come to an end…read more As it has been stated, this gem of a movie prop warehouse is officially shutting down. This rumor has been floating around for well over a year, but this time it's fo real. Don't believe me? Then stop by. This place used to be filled to the brim with anything and everything you could image needing to fill the set of a movie no matter the movie's genre. At this point the owner has sold at least 70% of his stock and isn't stopping until the place is fully cleaned out. In fact, at this point he is basically giving things away. So long as you have a vehicle to haul it off, then it is yours. Everything left will be generously donated to various charity organizations in need. I paid this place one last visit to scrounge through what is left in search of hidden and buried treasures. At this point the main bulk of merchandise remaining is furniture, soooooo if you are in the market for furniture, of all sorts and styles, then I suggest you hightail it down to check out what is left. From what I understand, doors close permanently next week. It truly will be a sad day in Hollywood as this 40+ year old business closes for good. I can only wish the owner much success in future endeavors. I know giving up something you spent your entire life building must be hard. Tear.
