I was here (in from out of state, visiting family) about a year ago and absolutely loved the food and the service. A lot has changed since my last visit. The hummus was the worst I've ever had. It was watery and flavorless - not seasoned, not lemony, not garlicky, and not even tahini-y. Just yuck. The avgolemono was tasty - hooray!! The lettuce in my Greek salad was past its prime with wilted wet bits throughout that I had to pick out. The dressing was all vinegar, no oil, and not well balanced. (Please mix/shake before serving!) The last time I ate a Greek salad here I really enjoyed it, so I was very surprised. And my moussaka was missing the bechamel sauce (or it was so old the bechamel had hardened?!) I really used to love this restaurant, but there's no way I'll be coming back. Sad. read more

Went here based on the 4 star review, how disappointing. The food was bland, gyro meat like a spam texture, but the grape leaves were super salty, not sure if they rinsed the brine well enough? Some surprises here: 1. Way bigger than you imagine from the outside. 2. Really cool decorated on the inside. 3. Huge menu. We stopped in for a lunch and decided each to have a salad, they were magnificent. Delicious fresh salad, tomatoes olives feta and covered with GYRO and chicken meat, abundant and delicious. The service was nice. I'm Greek. I grew up eating Greek food from first generation immigrants. The food here,sadly, was very disappointing. The food was really bland, and obviously microwaved warm...broiling the filo dough post microwaving could have gone a long way. We tried 3 dishes that were classic Greek cuisine (spanakopita, lentil soup, and pastitsio). They missed the mark by a long shot on all 3. We have eaten here a handful of times. And it's good every time. Nice authentic Greek place with a very friendly staff and very clean dining area. Food is great! I've had salad, gyro, hummus, flaming cheese, lemon soup, baklava, and it's all fresh and delicious. Can't go wrong with a to go or dine in. Plenty of parking and prices are reasonable. This place is a hidden gem. I wish people would know that they offer an amazing authentic greek food. The salad is the best salad I had here in Ohio. The dressing is the best. I love that they offer a variety of food in one plate too so you can try the best of greek food. I just love this place so much. The service is so good. The waitress i forgot her name but she is very nice and welcoming. She explained all the food to since we don't know what to order. And please don't forget to order baklava!!! Every metro area should have a place like this! The highlight of our visit was the delectable 'Saganaki' appetizer, which is as much an experience, as it is an epic Greek delicacy! Imagine a Greek cheese, brought to you flambeed (flames leaping up high - they sprinkle Sherry on it and light it) in a skillet next to your table, and quickly extinguished with squeezes of fresh lemon! Then a picture of their fish fry posted on insta on a Friday during lent so I had to try. Been back several times since and all I can say is Gyros are awesome. Fish fry and shrimp scampi were great. Fantastic Greek restaurant. We ordered the Dolmades as an appetizer and were very pleased. It's hard to get good Dolmades as many restaurants serve them with mushy rice and bloated with grease. Vasili's Dolmades were delicious. Pastitsio was excellent. And don't skip dessert. The baklava was made in house and served warm. Wonderful meal all around! read more

Rude and poor service! Ordered 3 Gyros, 1 with no onion. The woman on the phone repeated the order back to me. When my friend picked it up, she told him that they all had onions and I should just pick them off. That's a risky solution to the problem. What if there was a food allergy? When I returned the food to seek a refund, she was rude and tried to tell me that we did not order one without onions. Even though she repeated it back to me when ordered and told the guy picking it up that they forgot and put onions on all of them. I asked for a refund and she practically threw the money at me. No apology, explanation, or offer to remake the food. Just rude and mean. read more

One of the best greek restaurants I've been too! It's a cozy little restaurant in the valley, and it usually has a quiet atmosphere. If you love greek food this place is a must try. I always start off with the saganaki personally. It's a cheese that has a very rich flavor, and they come to your table and light it on fire! Every entree I've tried here the meat has always been cooked to perfection. I don't even like chicken that much, and I loved the chicken salad! I LOVE this place! They are great with our kids, friendly and really take pride in their restaurant. They have the BEST stuffed grape leaves I have ever had. Portions are big and the service is great! And they now have a license to serve beer. UPDATE: I still love the food at this restaurant, but when I went in today, no one was wearing a mask. That's still required by the state health department, I believe. I'm in a high risk category for Covid, so unfortunately we won't be back until after the pandemic ends. Disappointed. read more

I had a good meal at Vasilis today. The place was spotless, bathrooms were nice, and the service was quick and friendly. The food was really good. Not quite perfect, but overall a good meal for the money. We had a gyro, calamari and baklava. Nice big portions, and the gyro had very good meat. The gyro would have been better with cucumbers instead of wilted lettuce, and could have also used some feta. Definitely recommend this place. read more

It should have been a clue that the place was empty, but we figured it was 1pm on a Tuesday. We ordered hummus & veggies. Not sure what they served, but it wasn't hummus. It was a liquid with a sharp/canny taste. I ordered the trio appetizer & everything tasted microwaved & flavorless. Very disappointing. I just ordered Vasili's for the first time thru Postmates and it was awesome! I got the flaming cheese and the pastitio-sp, and it was authentic and delicious! Loved the salad and the dressing as well. Pita bread was great too, and I am looking forward to the raspberry cheesecake later. I can't believe I have not tried this place sooner! I'm not a huge Greek food fan but Lord knows I love a good gyro. This guy does some voodoo with this pump that bastes the delicious spoil of meat in its own juices. The gyros are worth it alone.
