This has go to be one of the most awful dealerships I've ever been to in my life. The manager is beyond condescending and although the salesman Mark, was great and I did get a great deal the headache of the deal was not worth it at all. Their lack of communication has led to my registration being held over a title issue that I was double charged for. When I finally did receive the refund it was given with disrespectful and unprofessional attitude from their manager who's got to be someone who's never done customer service before as he put me in a situation where he's blaming his salesmen and threatening to take my $50 refund out of his paycheck and asking me if "that's what I want". Looking passed their horrible manager, their title department is clearly processing my registration at a snail's pace so I've received letters from the DMV and Insurance about my new car not being registered under my name still and my old car needing to be added back. The headache is NOT worth the deal considering there are many Hyundai dealerships on the Island that are much much better. I went to complete a lease return and despite not leasing a new vehicle that day everyone was very friendly and helpful. The First Gentleman in the service department, assisted us on where to go. Then the Second Gentleman in the showroom immediately got us seated at a desk and within minutes a gentleman named Dave came to help us. I bought by son a new 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with 40 miles on it but the dealership sold the car as used so I am told that we only get 5 of the Hyundai provided 10 year warranty but, I could get the full warranty for an extra $2,500! So here they are trying to cash in on a warranty that is supposed to come with the car for free! I didn't go for it and spoke with Hyundai and the car does, in fact, come with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty! At the end of the day we got the car we wanted along with the warranty but the way they do business seems criminal. Very disappointing. Spent over three hours test driving and looking at several used cars. Narrowed it down to two and sat down with the salesman. Salesman (very nice) spent 10 minutes with the manager, then came back and told me that he couldn't give me an exact price until he actually ran my credit. I told him I was a tier one candidate since I had a credit score that was very high. I said, "OK, give me a ballpark. What would my payment approximately be on these two used cars. I understand that you have to get my credit score to get exact numbers." He said he was unable to really do that. Then the manager came over and I said, "OK I understand you can't run the EXACT numbers but every other dealership I've been to gave give me numbers so I know when I'm spending before I sign papers." I also asked the manager what could he do on the sticker price of the car. "Is there any wiggle room than the advertised price that you have online." He said no. He said, "maybe I could take off $100." (Meanwhile, I saw a coupon for $500 on the website. He did not even offer or mention that.) So I said, "you're not able to negotiate at all in the asking price of the car?" And he said, "no that's my lowest number." I was ready to buy TODAY. I got up and left. Every other dealership I've been to could provide me with numbers and would also work with me on the price of a car. I should have listed to all the bad reviews I read before I went there.... Oh and PS: - the price they show online is NOT the price of the car. That price shown is AFTER you out down $2k. - although the CarFax said the car I liked was Certified by Hyundai, the manager said that is not true and Id have to spend $995 to "really" certify it. I just completed a call for an appointment to have my tires rotated and a rattle in the rear of my 2023 Ioniq 5 corrected. I was told that I would have to leave my car for at least two days and that there would be no loaner for me. I'm not sure who the Service Manager is at that dealership, but, I have to say that I don't think that that's the way to develop a relationship with a local customer. The attitude, though polite, seemed to be "take it or leave it, we don't care". Well, I guess that I will be moving on to Hyundai 112 for my service needs. I went in yesterday to buy a used 2022 dodge ram 2500 and at first everything was great. My issue happened when dealing with the finance guy. I asked him what my APR was and he said something around 8.7 which he said was the best rate he can give me. I then told him that I would finance with my own bank because the interest rate is lower and of course the typical salespeople response "I'll talk with my manager and see if we can get close". When he gets back he has great news of course, he says he can match my interest rate. At this point I ask him what the actual lowest APR from the banks they work with is and he proceeds to tell me that's the new and lowest rate. After that he said the manager was doing me a favor because I am a veteran. I don't know how favors usually work but I don't consider it a favor if you have to be asked or are confronted with opposition. After going back and forth with the gentleman I inform him its the law to show me the lowest interest rate given to me by the banks he works with and he continues to argue with me and tells me he doesn't have to show me at all. I have been driving this car since I got my license in high school- I'm a recent college graduate (giving you an idea of a timeline). I knew I had a check engine light on since august now dec. 17. Haven't had any issues driving my car until I had a flat tire dec. 14 after I had gotten off work. I scheduled an appointment online for the following morning the 15 Call them that day to check the status of my car and they said it was still being "dispatched" no questions of mine were being answered (how long will it take to be looked at, when am I expected to get my car back, etc). We purchased a Hyundai Kona from Riverhead Hyundai about 2 months ago. We got the Bait and Switch from this dealership. We picked out the car, test drove it, got approved for the loan, then in the midst of the same day received a call from the salesman that they could not sell this car to us because when they were prepping it for the sale, they noticed it had been in an accident. I am looking for a car now for myself and I go onto the Riverhead Hyundai website and they still have the same car (that was in an accident) advertised for sale- Silver Hyundai Kona Limited. Also the car we did buy did not have good tread on the tires and an empty tank of gas when we picked it up, they did nothing about it. This dealership has some work to do to improve. On Friday (today)I call there to see what's going on and she tells me the timing chain is bad $3000 + to fix it! Why would I agree to $1250 if there was another $3000 coming?? Why didn't the 1st diagnostic show a bad timing chain?? She says she'll adjust my bill and it's now $1398!! She's been talking over me for 3 days. When I tell her I want to talk to her manager, she's says they're out until Monday. This place is a rip off and the cars are crap. I leased a Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid today and the process couldn't have been better. Yesterday, I walked into the showroom at about 5PM and was greeted by Mike Dougherty a Hyundai sales associate. Within 15 minutes we reached agreement and I came back today to do the final paperwork. Mike was awesome and so was Kyle who handled the finances. Let me start by saying I have never left a bad review on a business in my life but these criminals deserve it. Please Read. I purchase a used truck from Hyundai riverhead a little over a year ago now. At the time the I was in need of a vehicle and the market was tough so I was extremely desperate to jump into something. After weeks of looking I saw what seemed to be a decent deal. After talking on the phone with them and confirming price and availability, I drove down their to discover price doesn't reflect the $2k down payment. That, and they didn't even have the truck on the lot. So off the bat they lied to me on my first two questions. When the truck finally came in I got a call and once again drove down there just to see a massive dent on the side driver door. Sales guy points me in the direction of another truck and after 2 more trips down to Hyundai Riverhead I was able to leave with the truck. Oh and don't even try to put more than $2k down, they won't let you. So now a year passes and I come across another truck. Decided I'm paying too much and want to get out of this one. I began calling used car dealers to see if anyone would be interested in purchasing my Silverado off me. First call I made I get a ridiculously low offer. Now I understood that the car market came down a bit but the offer was ridiculous. I came to find out that my truck was in two accidents prior to me purchasing. One of which was severe and the truck was towed away. I immediately called up the gentleman who sold me the truck and his response to the matter was "sorry we have no clue about vehicles history when buying it from auction". Funny how he was so sure there were no accidents when I asked him at the purchase but now he has no clue. This is just a lie. I asked to schedule a meeting thinking that they would be able to work this out with me because THIS IS FRUAD. Lying to me about vehicle history is FRUAD. When making a point of this in our meeting, I was put at blame for not asking for print out of the car fax. Because I took the salesman's word for it I was now at blame. They then appraised the car and told me they would only take it back as a trade in because it was a 2016 and not a 17. On top of that their trade in value on the truck wasn't even better than dealerships that were offering cash. You would think they would work with me a little to try to resolve this issue but nothing. All I got was some laughs and a "go ahead" from management when asking if I should wright a review about the place. So hear ya go buddy! This one's for you! They LIED and HID that they had under-the-table transmission work done on it, then 3 months after I got it the transmission blew, and they said they didn't have to tell me they did work on it and that it had prior issues. Went there to meet with one person only to be stuck with someone else. This person not only looked unprofessional but addressed me with stating that my car is scrap. Minor scratches don't make it scrap and that's not how to deal with a customer. They have a commercial that states they want your car because they have a million dollars. That's all bull. False advertising. The person I dealt with told me I would need to put at least 10k down. Another bull**** story. Who does that? He just said that to get me to leave. In October, 2022, I brought my 2022 Palisade in for a RECALL on the factory installed trailer hitch. They told me to have them check it even though it was not factory installed, since I had purchased it elsewhere and installed it myself. Apparently there have been a number of fires related to the factory installed hitch. Two months later, I attached my trailer and the lights no longer worked. After a bit a checking the circuits with a VOM meter, I returned to them a couple of times to find out what they did during the recall. They finally admitted that since the Hyundai company has not yet determined the cause of the fires, Riverhead has been instructed to pull the 40 amp fuse, thereby disconnecting the hitch's power. That is their temporary fix! Their procedure includes throwing away the fuse. They did not tell me what was done at the time. They just let me drive off after telling me that everything was OK. If I had not checked the lights, I could have been ticketed or worse had an accident. A bit more thought and communication on Riverhead Service Department's behalf would have made sense. And perhaps an offer to at lease give me a replacement fuse would have been appropriate. Disappointing. read more

Very unethical dealer, sold me a Genesis with extended warranty then I found out they were not an authorized repair shop. Was told the car came with a 36 month maintenance plan only to find out from another dealer that they never registered the car for the maintenance plan and the car had previously been registered under another name, I was told it was new. BEWARE: THEY ARE SCAMMERS THAT DELETE NEGATIVE FACEBOOK REVIEWS I went in to do a basic lease buyout yesterday. i sat there for an hour and a half waiting for the insurance team and finally was able to talk to the finance guy right at the end of the whole process. My lease residual was 13.3k, i calculated what range my payments would be before showing up. Finance guy tells me a number almost 100$ a month more than expected. come to find out they included a "warranty" for 120k miles on a car with 80k miles for an extra 3000 without any explanation. After asking that to be dropped to bring my number back to the original residual + tax i'm told my interest rate (on a 700 credit score) was 7.99%!!! I legitimately thought he was joking. He then rudely started spouting info that was factually incorrect (the mileage will affect my interest rate, i couldn't finance with hyundai i had to use their shit bank, etc. etc.) I lost my patience and walked out, called hyundai motor finance and asked for the buyout amount, got a loan from my bank for 5 years @ 3.4% interest in less than 15 minutes. I have had 2 interactions here and both have been extremely shady. If you decide to give them your business, be skeptical and double check everything.
