Very pleasant people for the first time in the place. Didn't shoot yet but from my first impression, I know I'll enjoy coming back.

I never really had a notion of participating in such activities but after my first go around with trap shooting I was hooked.

They refined my handgun grip to far more proficient than I could ever do on my own. They walked me through my first Bill Drill, target transitions, and shooting with movement that I have ever done, with no ego. They have the skills to back up what they are talking about, and the experience. I cannot stress enough if you carry, if you have a home defense firearm. Get Training!!!! For your sake and everyone around you. Plus, it's just plain old fun! Prices are the best bang for buck out of any range I've been in. I've noted in a review the range isn't airconditioned, that's not accurate, it is, in-fact bring a hoody it can get a tad chilly. I also got my CHL here Utah and Oregon, they were great about following up when Utah delayed due to back log. I'm noting that the negative reviews happened before Adam took charge as general manager. For all those that haven't been back since, I suggest trying it again. I can't tell you how happy I've been with the experience.

I originally booked a 30-minute session for the Threat Alley simulator ($45). I didn't know what to book for my husband because he had never done anything like this before, but I wanted to get him involved in something since this place offers state-of-the-art training. I'm so glad I did. Jeremy was our instructor. He was formerly a member of a SWAT team, so he has plenty of experience. He offered excellent critique and guidance, walking my husband through the session step by step. He even gave us an extra 20 minutes and let us use the 300-degree Threat Arena - WOW! He provided my husband with excellent scenarios, even the ones intended for two people. I highly recommend Jeremy and hope we have the opportunity to work with him again next time. He's very knowledgeable, friendly, and an excellent instructor here. The simulator experience really makes you appreciate what military and law enforcement have to do. The Threat Alley simulator is a single-screen application that lets users practice practical threat scenarios, such as being robbed in a parking lot after work. It also presents other scenarios that prompt you to reconsider how you would handle the situation if it were to actually happen. Those scenarios, when the threat isn't directly interacting with you, can get tricky. For instance, how do you handle the threat if they have a hostage? The 300-degree Threat Arena is pretty impressive! It's best used with another person or two, but my husband did well for one person. Overall, I recommend these simulators for individuals seeking to train or simply enjoy themselves. Photos are allowed only in the simulators. Originally, I booked for $45 and ended up getting an extra 20 minutes and invaluable advice for the price of $55. So worth it! This place is popular and offers a variety of packages. Great staff. I'm so glad this place is here. We plan to be back!

Most impressive they created a serious, safe, and careful environment while maintaining a light, positive, and engaging experience. We were a group of 4 and all 4 of us had never handled a gun so we were as fresh as could be but Woody and Jason had us shooting, and handling the guns like pros by the end. Woody's confidence, and deep knowledge in his field is felt throughout the lesson and it allows even the most nervous and hesitant students (like myself) feel at ease. If you are considering a lesson in firearms I HIGHLY recommend Active Problem Solutions. I believe even an experienced gun owner could benefit from a few hours with Woody.

There are some great…read morestaff members who work well with others and are attentive, polite and genuine in their concern for your safety. I was afraid to use a gun from prior experience and was assigned one staff member who did a great job helping me to understand my fears were legitimate yet also listened and encouraged me there was no need to be afraid. By the time this class was over I was excited about taking the next class and was confident I would improve. The next class was a different story!!! There was a staff lady named Jackie and she was mean! Not kidding! Arrogant and cocky while at the same time degrading and treating adults like children! She even interrupted the instructor and talked to him like a child! Very uncomfortable and I'm shocked he allowed her to treat him that way!! The other staff members looked embarrassed! She tried to come and correct me when I was being helped by another staff member and she was no help at all! Seemed like it was a power move and she wanted to have input on everyone. When I was watching the other people shooting she would have something to say to every student regardless if there was a staff member there or not. Very rude it seemed. You could tell the other staff members were irritated with her. I would like to take more classes but if she is there then I won't. If you take a class from them you may learn a lot but don't let Jackie help you! She is a mean lady and needs to take her antics elsewhere! Mr. Jacobe would be wise to get rid of her for the way she treats the students and the staff members! Be wary!!

I am former military, but terribly out of practice when it comes to weapons and took the opportunity to join my wife and daughter in a refresher course. The three of us took Firearms for Absolute Beginners with Alex and were incredibly pleased with the results. We spent four full hours combing through the basics. He walked us through how semi automatic pistols and revolvers work, showed us how bullets work, gave us a fantastic lesson on the different calibers and types, and we spent almost an hour, practicing loading and unloading weapons safely. My wife went from being a nervous wreck to being relaxed and comfortable around a handgun, and my daughters confidence grew tenfold. I picked up some terrific tips for proper stance and grip, which showed immediate results on the range. The following day I practiced with my 9mm and noticed a significant improve in my shot group. If you're new to handguns or just need a refresher course so that you can get comfortable with them again, I strongly recommend Jones firearm training. Alex was infinitely patient with our silly questions and helped foster a comfortable atmosphere where the entire family was able to learn.

Then I realized that I'd not shot in 30+ years! And all my experience is with revolvers or lever-action rifles. Bottom line: A LOT to learn. So it began, as so many things these days do, with a google search: "best compact 9mm under $500." Wow - so many options. I read and researched and asked questions and visited so many gun brokers, from pawn shops to mega-sports retailers to locally owned. The guys on the church team spoke very highly of HighLine, so I popped in and met Scott. He was a wealth of information, professional, personable and patient. He answered every question I had and a bunch I didn't even know I had. Great guy! After several classes, an online course and completing my CHL certification, I had my list down to my top three. Back to see Scott at Highline. He got out the three I wanted to compare, explained the highlights and differences and just when I had it all figured out...he gave an option that was an upgrade to my top choice that was exactly what I was looking for. I spent a little more than I'd initially planned, but I'm confident that I have a quality firearm at an awesome price. Plus Highline has EVERYTHING I'll ever need as I learn and grow in this new challenge. BIG THANKS to Scott and his team at HighLine.
