I've been here a couple times, & have always been happy with the excellent customer service. This place is cheaper than anywhere else I could find. My car takes slightly more than the standard amount, & everywhere else wants to up charge me bc of this, whereas this place doesn't charge me any extra. Let me preface this review by saying my car came in with a dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree! When they ran it, 22 codes!!! I didn't even know that was possible. Is there an award? Lol. The gentlemen at Midas were , hands down, phenomenal! They got me right in , diagnosed it, worked around my ridiculous work hours, and most importantly, I wasn't taken advantage of!!!! Car issues were explained to me like I was a person and not the dumb woman with 22 codes on her car! We've been taking our cars to Midas on Fairview for 20-years. Ron, Todd, and team are fantastic, I know I can rely on them to take care of me and are always extremely honest regarding condition and necessary repairs. I was recently advised by a big tire chain in town that I needed a pit / idler arm replacement because there was "play" in it. Took it over to Ron for a second opinion... turns out, that "play" is normal for my vehicle. Ron and team saved me over $1k! Do not go there! Went in for a wheel bearing change, got told that they could not separate both (!) lower control arm and billed me 350 for those two parts. Market price for those part is about less than 150 for 2 sets of 2!! Employee did not want to reduce price or accept that I bring the parts. He also confirmed they are making profit on the parts. The auto part store right next to them is literally twice less expensive for the most high end of those parts. If you don't want to pay much more on parts on top of labor don't go there. read more

By far the most trustworthy mechanic I have met yet. The owners name is Ron. After three opinions, he was the first to tell me the actual prognosis... not just interested in milking his customers for unnecessary work. I cannot say enough about these guys! My brakes started sounding funky and felt like they were grinding. I made an appointment with them for yesterday, dropped off my car, and then picked it all up the same day. From the phone call to schedule my appointment to walking out with new brake pads and rotors, there was nothing but exceptional, kind customer service. I have no knowledge of cars whatsoever and am hesitant to take my car places thinking that I'll get ripped off because of my lack of knowledge, I never worried once with Midas. When they called to tell me what needed to be done, I asked to add a tire rotation and they insisted it was free of charge. They were also $120-150 cheaper than Les Schwab. Love these guys! They ran some tests and referred me to another automotive center that specializes more on electrical issues. Didn't even charge me for the tests, and the specialists got me fixed up right away. Nice to know they will refer you to a good place if it's something they can't do in the shop. read more

After buying a classic truck, I wanted a much quieter sound than it had. After calling them and telling what I wanted, I took my truck in for the new muffler. Still, it was too loud and not what I had pictured with the sound. Ron told me several things they could do, and we agreed on a different muffler system. Ahhh...perfect! There was a mix up with my vehicle and another clients, they started performing the work without my okay because they had confused the two of us. Came from out of town. Felt car pulling to the right a bit, and had just replaced worn front end parts. Wanted to have alignment and other parts checked for any mistakes. Todd at Midas had the car on the alignment rack and checked all the front end parts and the alignment. Was assured everything was OK, and they would not charge a penny for their time. I had an appointment made with another company and they never showed up. I was desperate for someone to look at my air conditioner because I need to head out of town and with 3 kids I didn't want them to suffer with the extreme heat. I went in to Midas with low expectations just because I know everyone is busy last minute and even on a Saturday. I was greeted by Ron at the front desk and he was so nice and told me they could look at it right then so I left him the keys and took my 3 kids in tow for a walk. He called me not even 45 minutes later saying they found the problem and fixed it. I was almost in tears! I will never go somewhere else and will recommend this place to everyone! I have been coming to these guys for years and I am always so impressed - today was no different. I have used them for brake checks, new brakes, oil changes, steering wheel belt issues, inspecting a car I was considering to purchase and more. Today I was having a problem with my ignition and getting the key out. They got me in same day, fixed and out of there in under two hours for way less money than I had feared it would be. They always get you out of there with just the work you need done - and at a great price. These guys are way overpriced and don't seem to care what damage the inflict on their clients vehicles. The wife took her car in for an oil change and when she brought it home noticed a black mark on the leather. Grease i suppose but we never could get the stain out. read more
